Some notes
  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold.  You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.
  • On Xbox 360, you must have at least a 1 month Gold subscription for sales and Games with Gold.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

I know this is not breaking news but the Rewards app Game Pass Quest tracking is a joke.
I have gotten achievements in 2 different games in each category (minus Forza) and none have checked off yet. I initially had all 4 categories done Monday 11/20 and nothing has checked off except Forza Horizon 4. Meanwhile, my Battlefield 5 mini quest of one achievement checked off in a day.
Yeah I'm in the same boat. I unlocked 3 achievements for Forza Horizon 4 and 4 for Gears of War 4 plus an Halo 5 achievement and it still hasn't updated my punch card and its been two weeks!

Well I activated my gamepass from my one account a few days ago and the punch card showed up today!  I just activated the other so hoping it will show before the end of the month.  The achievements look easy, just completed one for Lego Indiana Jones already.  And currently downloading 2 more games, should have this done by tomorrow.

Quick question, do I need to download these games through gamepass, or if I have the physical or digital versions, will it still show the achievement, or do I have to download the game through gamepass in order for it to count?

Turok for the memes. I didn't like Payback, I couldn't figure out the drifting.

NFS-if that's the one on ea trial, it's eh.
Lego world- is ok.
My son plays it for about 30. Reminds me of Minecraft.
PB winterbottom-not bad for a puzzle game. I found some solutions being ridiculous though.

Haven't played the sequel, but the original QUBE was really great. One of the few games inspired by Portal that semi-lives up to the name and concept, IMHO. Sequel got good reviews, and currently has a 9/10 on Steam with over 300 reviews.

My kids like Lego Worlds but it glitches and freezes sometimes.
Ms PAC Man is a dollar so... just get it, you have spent $1 on worse things.
I loved Turok on the N64 but couldn't play it these days, I don't think it aged well personally.

I don't know on the others.

I didn't own an Xbox One when the first quests started and I got the same e-mail showing that I had completed them. The link is generic and shows that you completed the quests even if you're not logged in, so I wouldn't pay much attention to it. I'm pretty sure you had to have done everything required in the Xbox app to complete the quests.
If I get it, I get it, if not, oh well. Their system for these things is so backwards. No points have shown up yet, but then again my Battlefield achievement check hasn't gone through yet and it's been two days.

I know this is a bit off topic but I can't remember if it was cag talking about it or the uv page on google plus.

Do you guys have the link or web page for a disc to digital list on vudu that gives other movies. So you scan your disc but it gives different movies then what you scaned.

I've got twenty bucks in credit to blow on a last purchase and still can't decide on what to pick up...

Dishonored 2 bundle
Diablo 3
Shadow of war
South park SBW
Injustice 2

Just can't decide...

Damn you Microsoft and Bing Rewards for making me play RiME... started it for the punch card trophies and stayed with it cause I somehow knew what was going on, ended up being worse than I expected ("worse" in the actually better way) damn kick on the balls... hate to love those games.

I had $10 expire today I forgot it expires early and not at 12, so I figured oh it’ll be easy to get back judging by what people have said in here so I do live chat and guy says he can’t help me I have to open a ticket with ms rewards so I told him last time I did that it took 3 weeks to get a response and he says he can’t help me and linked me to the form.

I picked up a XBox One X PUBG bundle a couple months ago.  The 1 Month Game Pass expired on 6/30/2018 whereas the 1 Month Live is good till 6/30/2019.

I tried typing in the code into xbox.com to see if it was still valid but neither told me what they were.  I thought they did?  Or is that just PSN?

I wanted to see if I could trade one of them for 30 PS+.  But if the GP is no good I obviously don't want to trade that.

I have Gold and Game Pass so neither is redeemable by me correct?

I keep thinking about getting AC: Odyssey but I just can't drop the $40.19 on it while I see the disc is $27 on Amazon... The Amazon one is actual money out of pocket though. I think I might just hold til Christmas sale and see if there is anything more I want on that sale and if not then get Odyssey at that point. These discounted bing points don't expire til February.

FYI If you're in the alpha skip ahead preview program your console may hard crash during the next update. Trying to restart won't fix it. Will need to do reset to factory settings to get through it. Selecting keep games and apps worked for me. Idk if it's isolated to skip ahead or not.

Might be time for me to opt out of the preview program. 3.5 years and I don't really think I've gotten anything significant from it. Having features before anyone isn't that interesting. Really they should be handing out something of value for testing their updates and sending feedback.

Went with South Park SBW Gold edition. Tried the trial and was enjoying it.

So my gaming BF haul is done.

Got an extra wired controller on Friday, and game wise went with...
Elex
Fallout 76
Bastion
Burnout Paradise
Mortal Kombat xl
South Park SBW Gold Edition

Dishonored is on sale enough that I figured I can wait on that.

Keep in mind AC:Odyssey Gold comes with AC III remastered and the Season's Pass is seemingly never priced well. At least with Odyssey and Far Cry 5 you actually get a whole game included with the Gold editions; with AC:Origins the Season's Pass is still $26 a year later, and a complete rip-off I think.

I was looking back at what the PSN Flash sale looked like for December last year, and the AC: Origins prices were identical to Black Friday. So I think it's safe to say that they won't change on for Xbox.

With the rumored Arkham Collection that is supposedly being released on Tuesday, I don't know if I should just pull the trigger on getting the games now and hoping that they release a patch with 4K and HDR support. I have a hard time believing that they would release a collection that includes these updates separately, but then again, the Telltale Walking Dead enhanced versions were locked in that collection, even though the games were all released on current gen.

So they wouldn’t release a patch for it with the 4K support?

If you are interested in Lego Worlds be aware: it is unlike any other Lego game. More open world, you travel to different randomly generated worlds, discovering different objects, which you can then unlock to build yourself. It plays a bit like Minecraft with Legos, only a little more straightforward. It is definitely an interesting concept, but I'll be honest, my family regretted buying it when we first got it, and we've loved all the Lego games. Check out videos to help with your decision.

I've been a fan of getting updates as fast as possible to enjoy the newest features first, but the last of these features that I actually enjoyed (read: used) was getting access to the BC program earlier than most. Also, I don't think there needs to be a level of the program that gives you updates faster than Alpha...

Sorry to chime in on this late, but the biggest bang for your buck if you like looter type games is going to be Diablo III. Also, I think this is the first time the game with the Necromancer add-on character has been this cheap.

Yeah the last time there was a perk was when BC was rolled out preview only and I had bragging rights over my friends. Nowadays I'm scared of being in it with their crashes and bugs.

This is the same developer that made separate game ids for the regular versions of all its games, and regional variants, as well as their goty versions, so I wouldn't put it past them.

My final Thanksgiving sale haul:

I've been a fan of getting updates as fast as possible to enjoy the newest features first, but the last of these features that I actually enjoyed (read: used) was getting access to the BC program earlier than most. Also, I don't think there needs to be a level of the program that gives you updates faster than Alpha...

Sorry to chime in on this late, but the biggest bang for your buck if you like looter type games is going to be Diablo III. Also, I think this is the first time the game with the Necromancer add-on character has been this cheap.
The game came out May 2012 and it's finally $20 w the DLC on Xbox Nov 2018.

Very grateful for the punchcard ea access tip. Paid for my copy of red faction. It'll probably end up being a GWG title by the time I play it.

Hitman 2 is $29.99 at Best Buy for Cyber Monday. Talk about a quick drop. Half off not even two weeks after launch?
It must have just gotten buried among the 5 or so monster games from the past month. At least people aren't calling it trash like Fallout.

Edit: looks like most of Best Buy's new sales were put up with mistake prices. Hitman 2 is still up at $30, but there was a lot of $5 and $10 stuff that are all grayed out now. Soul Calibur said $25 and was also killed.

Only the Necromancer DLC and this specific complete collection released in June 2017.

The vast majority of content, Diablo 3 bundled with the Reaper of Souls expansion, has been on consoles since 2014.
And note he singled out the Necro DLC being included for $20..........

Diablo 3 with RoS has been sub $20 before, on consoles. November 2014 it was $19.99

Game came out may 2012 FOR PC
Was not released for Xbox with DLC until June 2017
Objection! Let the record state that I clearly said the game came out in 2012 your honor, which my fine people of the jury, it did.

My point was just that it's interesting how long some games get milked. GTAV came out in 2013 and just started hitting $20 on sales about a year ago.

I wish I could get a digital copy of D3 without the Necromancer for $5 to ditch my disc but now that they are just bundling it, I won't ever see that.

It is more certain devs/publishers. Even if the necro DLC naver happened it probably never would fall below 19.xx, hell UEE never broke that and that took almost 2 years.

Again, note that the game with RoS was $20 in nov 2014. Mere months after it came to consoles.

And honestly i think they removed the UUE from the store the day Eternal collection dropped... like they always do.
Is there another version of RoS I'm not seeing on storeparser, I just see UEE with a first drop in 2017 (well the last few days of 2016)

Just saw your edit, gotcha

Gotta say, MS is improving with their online pricing compared to physical copies during sales like this. Figured I was only picking up 2-3 games this year, but MS's Black Friday sale changed that. Wound up buying like 9 games from this sale. Nice to see MS Turing this around. It always frustrated the hell out of me that digital copies were prices so much higher than physical copies. Made no sense whatsoever. Again, nice to see this is changing.

Same here. I picked up the gold editions of Tomb raider/Rise of the Tomb Raider for less than the standard copy of either 1.
