So, like others here, I got both of the Microsoft emails with the hidden $10 codes in them. When does the holiday sale start? 😬
 
Soul Calibur VI's big pre-2B patch is out. Haven't loaded it up but a few important things I've seen on community sites

-Xbox Networking issues finally fixed, and long load times supposedly fixed. 

-PC patch was borked and auto-banning anyone who played Ranked, has since been rolled back and PC 2B may be delayed due to this. It also was corrupting saves for some which could be fixed with a third-party tool.

-New files datamined may have confirmed the remaining two DLC characters, Amy and Cassandra.

-Two new weapons for Lesser Lizardman were added, possible DLC instead of the others, or a bonus/extra DLC. (This character is un-playable currently. He is in the single-player modes with mostly Sophitia's moveset but Aeon's grab and taunt from SCV) 

If these are the DLC I'm not to surprised since they're both pretty highly request, but their old movesets are closer to characters that are already in the game (Raphael and Sophitia) so I'm a bit disappointed. Lizardman/Aeon would be cool as he started as another Sophie clone but was his own character in 4 and 5. Personally I'd rather see the much more unique style of Viola from SCV over her younger self Amy, and Setsuka was pretty highly requested and has a totally unique move set.

 
I'm not familiar with this game but apparently it has pretty good reviews on Steam. They just announced a free update coming early next year, adding Duke Nukem and Lo Wang from Shadow Warrior. It's published by 3D Realms and they actually got permission ahead of time for once from Gearbox to use Duke. They also threw in their character Bombshell from Duke 3D successor Ion Maiden, with all of them voiced by the official voice actors and special moves from their respective games. 

Looks pretty fun, I'll probably pick it up if it goes on sale, it game to Xbox back in February.

If you haven't farmed Killer Instinct there are a ton in there, anything with Survival or Sparring followed by a 4 letter character, Aria, Mira, Maya, Rash maybe etc... think that's it. Halo MCC is also the achievement gift that keeps on giving.

Do you have Braid? There are achievements for "Solved World #" for 2-6. Beautiful Katamari has "Mini Katamari" as the likely first achievement, and then "Collection ##%" for 20 / 40 / 60 / 80, though those could be time consuming. Looks like there's quite a bit in Modern Warfare 3 that fit, including a number of any difficulty campaign achievements. Lego Avengers has 3 in the campaign plus at least 1 other.

Popped my first achievement for the 10th day.

Does anyone's have the right year on the end? Mine says XBL member since 2011 which is way off considering I have the 15 year chip. ;)

 
I only played my Xbox One 32 hours this year and 17 of those hours were Disneyland Adventures which I finally gave up on after not even being half way through the game. It's sole purpose is my Rock Band machine and whenever a new Ori comes out.
 
Always way off..

Most played game Diablo 3 (with like 14 hours) and not RDR2 with 90+ atm.. says 43 hours total played in 2018 on xbox.

I own no sports games, but have some award for playing sports games..

@tyrok, yeah mines wrong also. Says 2017 for Gamepass, but I just picked up gamepass 3 weeks ago...

 
My stats are also a bit out of whack as I know I've played AC Odyssey for more than just 61 hours (maybe there's a specific cut-off date). And I joined XBL in 2010, not 2012.

My 5 most played games in the year (AC Odyssey, Far Cry 5, Injustice 2, Mass Effect Andromeda and Shadow of the Tomb Raider) do seem accurate although I'm pretty sure I played Forza Horizon 2 more than SOTTR.

Honestly lower than I expected overall. Not really surprised it's all multiplayer either, I am surprised Fallout cracked the list though. That's an Institute play-through and screwing around with mods.

Path of the Ninja Clan has a free trial (which is all you need) that has some odd numbers to get you back on track next time if need be.

Bayonetta and MGSV were GWG encase anyone was wondering.
I'd recommend giving Deadlight a try to see if you like it. It's 5 hours long so if you stick withit for a hour or two this week and next you'd be done with it before it leaves gamepass.
 
The end of the year stuff is always pretty borked, been that way ever since I remember. Makes you wonder where they get the info from, perhaps why their rewards "punch cards" are so much trouble.

I thought I read somewhere else that it pulls from Oct-Oct which might explain some newer titles being omitted for hours played ect.

Bloomy and any other FM7ers, I checked the specialty vendor just now and the NASCARs are back if you wanted to pick any up before they disappear tomorrow.

 
Yeah it stops in October, but there is so much else wrong in my "sno globe" like 89 hours of online play when it also says I have over 300 in PUBG alone. I've had Gold since the day the Xbox 360 launched. it's consistently wrong every year. It's keeping with tradition.

If that is the case, then it makes sense for the thing to have only recorded 61 hours in AC Odyssey when I'm currently at 109.

That's interesting. Most played game this year was Sea of Thieves at 357 hours. Thought for sure Gears of War 4 would've surpassed that amount.

Didn't get any emails for free MS cred. Just one for a free 100 points
 
Wow, 281 hours put me in the top 9%? I’m surprised... I play much less than I used to. Top was 84 hours in AC Origins. I’ll probably too that in RDR2.

The year in review says I played Mass Effect 2 for 93 hours. That can't be accurate, unless I left it paused for 2/3 longer than I played it (about 30). Hmm.

I did increase GS by 24,205 though. Jesus.

 
Dumb question but does MS usually do a holiday sale similar to what Sony is doing now? Some games on sale that I'd rather get for Xbox but if they're not going to go on sale for a while I'll probably just buy them on PS4

Yup. The exact wording on the message when I click the tree from yesterday's email is:

"You found the hidden holiday surprise in your email. However, this limited offer is no longer available. Keep checking your e-mail for more fun holiday surprises throughout the season."

Then in extremely fine print at the bottom of the screen it mentions 11/27/2018, 12/05/2018, and 12/16/2018 emails sent from Microsoft Store. So three strikes and I'm S.O.L. (so far)

That's how it's gonna be Microsoft?!?... check every Microsoft Store e-mail for hot links hidden in holiday graphics, and hope that I'm within the first 1,000 (or 5,000 or whatever) people to click on it to get the gift card... though now the secret is out?
