Some notes
  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold.  You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.
  • On Xbox 360, you must have at least a 1 month Gold subscription for sales and Games with Gold.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

Tempted to order 2 for the free shipping and return 1 in store.
Ok... so free shipping after a certain point is not a thing at GS anymore. (Wasnt it 35-40?) so left with paying the $5 shipping, PM or let it go.

Tried a few codes i found to get free shipping, no dice. So unless there is a code i havent found yet.. i’ll try getting BB to PM when i get home 7-8pm tonight.

I Will keep stubbornly waiting for the stupid season pass for Fractured, But Whole to go on sale for more than half off before having to buy the game again.

Looks like those quests have jumped the shark if they’re gonna start to make you get specific achievements smh.
They've had specific achievement ones since the start, seems to flip with those and just get a random amount. Sucks because they are usually near the beginning so if you started the game already you're pretty much going to be screwed on not already having it. I remember one of the tomb raider ones was like the 3rd achievement in the game.

Assuming these are not retroactive? So someone who has all achievements already in The Division is out 200 pts, plus the 500 bonus for completing all quests?
Not going to be retroactive. It's weird how they do these things where it kind of seems not in their best interest. I won't even pre order something digital anymore just to have it already downloaded because of them introducing those up to 6000 point cards for buying the game the next day.

FYI anyone that was looking forward to Tales of Vesperia the unpatched disc version runs at a unlocked frame rate outside of battles, so should hit 60fps easily on the X (not sure about base XBox One). Even on the Switch it's unlocked so it's jarring when one scenario is 30fps and the other is 60fps. Battles are locked at 60fps. Not sure if the digital version will receive a patch on It's release but that is the case right now.

Still sadly 1080p when it most likely could have been easily X enhanced to 4k. I'll be waiting for a steep price drop either way.
Actually bought this from a seller on eBay who had it for $42 and I had a $10 off coupon on one of my accounts so figured $32 wasn’t too bad. Looking forward to it!

Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 would have been in the bottom 1% of games I would have guessed that would be coming to Game Pass, ha if anything I'd assume a de-listing before that. I guess anything can hit the service now.

As I'm trying to organize my games on different external drives, I am reminded of how many GWG I haven't touched. I know I should just load them up and check them out but I figured I'd ask if anyone wanted to highlight some of these or put them in tiers. Like "definitely check out", "it's not bad", or "avoid at all costs"? I may have paid for some of these I suppose but I think most are GWG.

Volgarr the Viking
The Deer God
Prison Architect
Brawlhalla
Knight Squad
The Escapists
Castle Storm
Death Squared
Chariot
Grow Up
Super Time Force
So Many Me
Runbow
Cobalt
Strike Suit Zero
Layers of Fear
Super Dungeon Brothers
Earthlock
Zheros
Pneuma
Livelock
The Van Helsing games
I recommend Pneuma. It’s a quality first person puzzler (think Portal). It’s fairly short (5 hours or so), and an easy 1000GS.

Grow up is neat but requires a lot of time, more then I was willing to give it. I got through the first couple areas and then moved onto other games.
This is interesting to hear. A lot of time because of the mechanics or because of the size of the game? I didn't get all the unlocks but I played the first one that's only on PC and I don't remember it taking more than a couple hours to finish. Figured this one would be similar.

I was debating buying Oddworld New 'n' Tasty Deluxe when it was $5.24 but now it's back up to $20.99. Definitely not 75% off like Majors post says.

Maybe I was collecting to much, how long to beat says 4 hours for main story, 91/2 to complete all of it, maybe I just got bored lol.

I liked that game. I haven't play any DLC for it but I imagine it's probably really good. The game itself is $14.99 at Gamestop right now for the Switch version if you happen to own one. Not sure what the season pass costs though.

I bought this right before the holiday sale ended (at least I used $5 from MS towardsi it). You can all thank me for my sacrifice.
I appreciate your sacrifice. I kept the page open all through the sale and kept almost buying and then backing out since I already bought DBFZ and Injustice 2 and I don't even like fighting games. Damn hype train suckered me in. I did play a little of both, and may even come back to Injustice some.

But not anytime soon, since I decided to roll a new character in Dark Souls 2. I have like 5 characters that I never know where to go with, so I just start from the beginning. I will just say that I absolutely hate soul memory. I fall off way too many ledges to have it matchmake based off the total souls ever collected. :/

I haven't checked today but I was looking at the store on the console last night and the page that has all the artistic adventure games for sale for "up to 75% off" only had 2 games on sale and the rest were full price, so maybe something got messed up?

They jumped the shark when they stopped paying out months ago. I never received three of my rewards and contacting support was useless as usual. I'm not wasting any time on any quests any more.
Right you are! I started Rime for a quest and never got a payout and now have to finish the game before early February.

I know I can turn off my 360 and have it continue downloading but if I also turn on my S, will the second login stop the download on the other machine?
I haven't noticed any problems with it, been doing that with some of the GWG for awhile now.

Friend of mine has been nudging me to play Layers of Fear, she seems to like it quite a bit.

Unrelated: It appears we don't get points back on purchases if made on an actual 360, not entirely shocked by this seeing the issues with merging them and stuff. Just hadn't bought something on it in ages and noticed that today.

Also looking forward to see if achievements earned track properly and timely this month.

They've had specific achievement ones since the start, seems to flip with those and just get a random amount. Sucks because they are usually near the beginning so if you started the game already you're pretty much going to be screwed on not already having it. I remember one of the tomb raider ones was like the 3rd achievement in the game.

Not going to be retroactive. It's weird how they do these things where it kind of seems not in their best interest. I won't even pre order something digital anymore just to have it already downloaded because of them introducing those up to 6000 point cards for buying the game the next day.
I was strictly talking about the game pass punch cards that started giving ms rewards points like 4-5 months ago.

I Will keep stubbornly waiting for the stupid season pass for Fractured, But Whole to go on sale for more than half off before having to buy the game again.
The Gold Edition is $20 at Gamestop if you can find 1 near you and The Stick of Truth core should still work for the Xbox version.

This is wrong, they announced that for the Switch and Xbox the game would be 60 in battles and 30 in the overworld. Also announced 1080p for Switch docked and 720p portable. PS4 is 1080p 60fps the whole game.

This was a design choice.

Only Steam has a variable frame rate.

I liked that game. I haven't play any DLC for it but I imagine it's probably really good. The game itself is $14.99 at Gamestop right now for the Switch version if you happen to own one. Not sure what the season pass costs though.
NOT going to spend another $20 to buy a season pass. This is Cheap Ass Gamer and I'm not some kinda *does math on fingers* MILLIONAIRE who is going to buy the same game for $20 again when I have so much free Microsoft Reward money still.

If you were committed to being a cheapass, you would have waited to buy it until the Gold edition was $20 like a normal person. But Mr. Moneybags BDK had to have the vanilla version sooner. Not a millionaire, indeed.

I'm still trying to install the Marvel pack on pinball fx2 and still haven't imported into pinball fx3 yet. Same error as everyone else.

It's too late now but I don't know if it's worth all the trouble lol
I am not having any luck getting them to import from Xbox One FX2 to Xbox One FX3. This after grabbing them from the 360 sale and then imported them to Xbox One FX2.

I keep FX2 installed for tables like South Park and Street Fighter that are not on FX3 so now it looks like it will also be for the Balls of Glory and Bethesda tables

Listen, it came with a free beanie. Sure I haven't worn it, but it came under the pressure also of coupon was going to expire so I stand by my purchase on the sentiment of it came with a nice beanie that'll appreciate in value. AND LISTEN I don't gotta take this from you! Where do you live so one of my butler's can show up in one of my golden land yacht's to throw one week old caviar in your face for insulting me?

The frame rate is currently unlocked outside of battles on both XBox and Switch.

Whatever info was given was false info before or they changed their mind from the XBox backlash.

Switch frame rate. I haven't seen anyone do a XBox video yet (paging NXGamer or DF)

I am in the same boat on most... however truly despised the deer god. I think it was an early one when there was more time to keep up

Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 would have been in the bottom 1% of games I would have guessed that would be coming to Game Pass, ha if anything I'd assume a de-listing before that. I guess anything can hit the service now.
I haven’t played one of these games since x-Men: Children of the Atom and the first two Marvel vs Capcom. I was never good at them either put they were at least fun. I didn’t think I’d see it on the service but wow, it’s a hot mess.

Forgot the PS4 copy I had came with the beanie!

Livelock is fun if you like twin stick shooters
Zheros--eh, not that great.
Super dungeon Bros--it was ok if you have a few people. Twin stick shooters I believe
Runbow--horrible
So many me-- I like it a lot. Good puzzler.
Super time force--bored me to tears
Chariot--seemed fun at first but then got stupid. Maybe a fun drinking game.
Death squared-- good puzzler.
Castle storm-- fun for awhile. I took a break and my memory of how to play got lost and now I can't play without starting over.
Knight squad-- didn't care for it.
Deer god-- probably one of the worst games I've ever played.
Volgarr-- if you ever played rastan at an arcade in the 90's, it's just like that.

Gonna be a +1 to the other dude who mentioned Pneuma. A very good, short game that I enjoyed more than portal.

Havent played the other and never will. Just looking at that list makes me shake at how bad a service GwG has been over the last few years. Just giving out absolutely pathetic trash games.

Really? I think it's pretty decent, great fan service with such a huge roster, I've had a lot of fun with it. I owned a 4mb ram cartridge for the Sega Saturn to play the import games in between Children of the Atom and the first Marvel vs Capcom proper. Xmen vs Street Fighter, Marvel Super Heroes, Marvel Super Heroes vs Street Fighter. The classics.

I wave at you with my Dovahkin horned beanie from the BB SE version that I haven't worn once and haven't played the game more than 5 minutes downloading mods.

All the talk about the Fractured but Whole got me thinking that I never finished Stick of Truth. Went to play more last night and my save is gone. Really strange. Haven’t had that happen in ages.

Newegg has some Xbox one controller for $40-44 after coupon code "emctuut36" (must subscribe to their newsletter to use the code). My favorite controller right now is the Sport White, which is $44+tax (free shipping).

The roster is good but I don’t like the way it’s animated and the fights seem to be more of a chaotic blur than the older ones.

BC versions? None of these have been on Xbox before.
Oops. I misread when I saw X2 and was thinking of FF 13-X2.

I’ll blame it on the brain cells I killed in my college years. And the high I still have from Clemson’s win on Monday.
