Some notes
  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold.  You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.
  • On Xbox 360, you must have at least a 1 month Gold subscription for sales and Games with Gold.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

Yeah kind of wtf, that they are already repeating the sales when they have such a catalog to choose from. Metal Slug I get as least being fairly popular. Then again it's Hamster and I have no clue how or why they do some things, and they just put out that broken Arcade Collection through Konami.
hahahah.....guess who just bought that 15 minutes ago. I hope it's not too bad, whatever is wrong with it.

Just bought Soul Calibur 6 during the spring sale. Could easily have picked up more but I'm rather broke. The spirit is willing but the wallet is weak!

The lack of store paper ads and stickied posts make me sad. We should start a petition to keep the three console threads all stickied at the top. They’re consistent first page and get the most attention.

Seeing FH3 expansion bundle counting down gives me hope that maybe some of the other FH3 bundles that are always delisted when not on sale might also be coming up. Those wouldn’t show up on your scans, right Bloomy? Since they’re not even active listings at the moment, right?

Little nightmares complete is intriguing me. Little bit of research states that the dlc is good.

Nothing really tempted me from the sale so I have A month before free money expires. Come on, something.

if you didn't like 4 the series isn't for you
Hmmm, I wouldn't say that necessarily. FC4 tried (unsuccessfully) to add 2-player co-op but it was limited and not very good. FC5 got much closer but wasn't able to nail it completely, as it wasn't split-screen and was only limited to 2-player. That's one aspect that changed the series for me at least, but each game also feels a bit different as they tweak things here and there. I've never loved one particular game but I do keep coming back because the series has changed over time. If you hate the core gameplay, yeah the games aren't going to do it for you but if it was another factor, chances are you might come around with a different one.

Just watched a video for the Toy Story Mania game. I'm tempted to pick that up, as it's one of my favorite rides at Disneyland, and it may be a game my 3 year old can finally play.

I think it was the gameplay, but it was also the fact that I REALLY hated the setting. It was by far one of the worst I've ever played in an open-world game. Far Cry 5s world looks infinitely better, but regardless it looks like I'll wait till it hits $10 or cheaper. Thanks for the info.

Are there any differences between the bioshock collection and the 360 games? i already own the trilogy
They did upgrade a lot of models and geometry on the first game but some graphical effects are slightly different, I'm not sure on 2. Infinite is basically the same. They run at higher resolution and 60 FPS. Bioshock 2 is missing it's multiplayer mode. All other DLC is included.

If you already own everything and are fine with the original performance and everything I'd say skip the collection. I played 1 and Infinite on 360 then found the collection very cheap so played 2 that way. I really don't think the games look that much better. Bioshock 1 360 has an option to run the game with a higher framerate for some reason, which hold pretty steady at 60 on an Xbox One.

Awesome, more Neo-Geo stuff! And Ninja Combat, no less! It's such a good-bad game.

"Who ARE you?!"

"You're the woman who---!"

"My name is KAGEROW! I was testing your POWAH! Please, let me join you!"

"Kagerow became one of them."
I get the two games Mixed up, Combat and Commando

I played the crap out of Combat in the arcade when I'd go on vacation with my family (Silver Lake, MI)

However, Commanda is good but kills your hand if not in an arcade (or turbo button)

I last played Toy Story Mania over 6 years ago, and recall it being decent mindless fun. The gameplay videos are pretty much exactly what you get, a shooting gallery. Would likely keep a 3 year old entertained.

Disc copies are not that common and stiill go for around $20-ish online, and this might be one of the few times it's ever been on sale. I've hesitated buying 360 Disney games digitally since they've given several as GwG so far, but you're risking getting it free later vs permanent delisting.

Montana more interesting than the Himalayas?

I hear JA sucks, but I like tactical games and it doesn't sound too awful. I'll try to make some time to play it before the sale ends and report back if it was worth the $15.

Dead Rising 1 still as awful as I remember. Waste of $6. Atleast Baja Edge of Control is a fun arcade racer.

Seems I struck out on most of my buys though. Mad Max is very boring and has terrible driving for a game that apparently has lots of vehicle combat. Dead Rising 1 sucks total ass, and I probably wont get around to playing Kings Quest for a while. I also didnt even know the entire first episode was free, as I probably wouldn't have bought it.

Oh well, only spent close to $30. Hopefully Baja, Kings Quest eventually, and The Bureau Xcom live up to it. On to the E3 sale

Montana more interesting than the Himalayas?
Yup, and youd think it would be the other way, no? I shouldnt have said setting entirely, more of just the graphics overall. Maybe I just dont like the Far Cry jank graphics. It was the same problem I had in my hour of Far Cry 3. Technically they should be very good looking games due to locations, but they have the weird color palette/blurriness that I just cant get into.

Any opinions on Road Redemption or Jagged Alliance? Loved the old JA games...
I bought Road Redemption during the Spring Sale. Refunded it shortly afterwards. Just did not like it at all, felt too much like a budget title.
That’s because it is a budget title.

I have fun with it. Best Road Rash fix you’re going to get.

Certainly not going to call it a masterpiece. It’s rough around the edges and primarily good in small doses. But it’s pretty fun if you miss those type of games.

Check out some reviews on Steam where it has “very positive” reviews.

Little nightmares complete is intriguing me. Little bit of research states that the dlc is good.

Nothing really tempted me from the sale so I have A month before free money expires. Come on, something.
That game is excellent and I really enjoyed its atmosphere and the tension it builds. The DLC is really good as well. I waited a long time for it to go on sale and immediately played it once I got it on sale. It introduced a new character and ties the story up between two different characters in an interesting way.

Yeah, FC4's world wasn't memorable at all thinking back but I do remember some epic nonsense in FC5 such as me landing planes in a town down main street, then shooting up the convoy heading at me with it lol. The buddy system is also great because of the cast to choose from. We loved having the dog, Boomer, the whole time because he was legit at playing medic to revive us whenever random explosions happened. There's also a bear you can use, called Cheeseburger. Pretty fucking great watching him go to town on rando enemies and all the chaos it made. If I had to rank the last 3 games, it would be 3, 5, then 4.

Ended up with
AC Odyssey
DragonballZ Fighters
Disneyland Adventures

Got to say that AC:Odyssey has me hooked, albeit a bit linear and repetitive.

Maximilian Dood and his friends had a massive 9 hour MK11 stream overnight. I didn't watch it live but skipped around the video some. He said he's going to edit down their Krypt experience so far into a Youtube video but basically the guys that were probably the most hyped for the game were pretty disheartened by how much currency everything takes and that the boxes seem to be totally random. One box they opened took 100 hearts, and you get 1 heart per Fatality.

I didn't see if they commented on this, but apparently you can't have even your custom outfits in ranked mode.

$10, May 7, will buy immediately.

For those who don't know, Puyo Puyo is the same basic game as Kirby's Avalance and Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine, which is the only ports we received in the 90s. In Japan, Puyo Puyo has been on almost every system ever made. Looks like they just took the existing portions of PP from Puyo Puyo Tetris to make a standalone traditional game, which I'm mostly okay with, but still mad we never got it localized since PPT was (physically! )published on Xbox in Japan.

Almost missed work as I played MK11 until very late, or should I say very early.

Anyways, I'm currently on chapter 5 of the story mode (needed to make it at least to chapter 4 in order to unlock Frost). And wow, transitions from cutscene to fight and back to cutscene are smooth AF. Facial animations are top notch and the voice acting - except for Ronda Rousey - is superb.

Haven't gone online just yet nor done any of the klassic arcade towers. And yes, I'm avoiding the Towers of Time until the difficulty and rewards re-balance hotfix is deployed (which according to Ed Boon, should happen today).

The Krypt looks great and even got a skin for Jax for opening one of the smaller chests. But it seems is better to leave it for later once NRS does their thing server-side with the amount of koins you get in-game. Though it does have an MK Deception feel to it and prefer the third-person view.

Same, I love this game and an equally mad the previous didn't come over. $10 is a day 1 price for me.

That's pretty much how I feel. I'm worried it's going to be delisted, don't ever remember it being on sale. Just wish it was backwards compatible.

Max said don't buy the game if you want single player content. Glad that people with some clout are calling WB out on their bullshit for turning single player content into GAAS microtransaction crap. Stuff like that gets the 'hotfixes' rolled out faster.
