Some notes
  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold.  You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.
  • On Xbox 360, you must have at least a 1 month Gold subscription for sales and Games with Gold.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

Gameshare partner already bought Wrekfest, so he's useful like twice a year. Can't wait to race my modified lawn tractor even though already doing it on the pc nothing Mortal Kombat level happens when you run over someone that wrecked in front of you.

For those that got the Samurai Shodown season pass while it was free, it now shows that I own the version that is on the store, and I can download the first DLC character.

My memory of Gears of War 2 consists of putting up shields backwards to beat Horde mode.
Until they patched in the ability for enemies to kick the shields over, even backwards ones. Any memories of "ring dancing" to XP boost?

I'm slowly making my way through the Japanese version of Gears 2, 11 achievements to go. 2 Horde ones (24 maps down, 5 to go), 3 XP leveling, 3 co-op campaign, co-op Road to Ruin, Insane campaign and then the grind of Seriously 2.0.

I don't think I did Horde on all the maps in the US release, so it's been interesting going through them for the JP version. Some great Horde maps in the game, like Nowhere, Grind Yard, Under Hill, Memorial, Highway. Though I often find myself trying to mark enemies and remembering that wasn't introduced until Gears 3.

Pushed through to Act 5 (I think) of Gears 2 and it has somewhat gotten better, but it still has way too much vehicle/flying combat. Im surprised how much I actually like the true gameplay of Gears, so I'm not sure why they felt the need to add so much vehicle combat. That tank mission in Act 4 literally took close to half an hour. Not fun.
Do you count vehicular combat as controlling the vehicle, or also just riding a vehicle? I remember the tank section in Act 3, stupid frozen lake. I don't remember much else where you're controlling the vehicle, though there are parts where you're riding a vehicle and possibly using it's weaponry (assault derrick turrets).

There's been vehicle segments in each of the numbered games so far. I don't remember if there were any in Judgment, though I don't think there were.

Speaking of gears these came in 2 days ago and these feel really nice in my hands.Ill be giving away the dlc for kait Diaz I believe it's a outfit for gears 5.Just like this post and I'll randomly pick someone.
My Elite has developed some upward drift in the left stick. Need to dig through the settings to see if adjusting the dead zone will fix it. Might've bit if the Gears 5 controllers were Elites.

Nvm. Game is terrible. It's basically trying to kill as many enemies as possible then suiciding, respawn, repeat. That's all the game is, at least playing solo. You take WAYYY too much damage.

I can see how it might be fun in coop, but its basically unplayable solo.
These posts were a rollercoaster ride!

YES! I remember doing this when they had 10xp or 4xp till 4 am and some ass would join the game and break the cycle .Meanwhile we had one good player who was surgical with the gnasher and hunt that player down so we can get to level 100.

It's been so long since I played but I remember they did a special event where the little bugs that explode were the only enemies. Put on the fence that kills them and walk away from the game and solo to the final wave for some easy xp. I think it was gears 3 maybe?

I did that a little bit, but was pretty boring. I mainly just gutted it out during high XP events, aside from below.

The multiplier in the JP version is currently 44x. Was broken for a while, but a server migration during maintenance restored it. I think some people might try to boost in KOTH for TA sessions, but most boosting now is doing wave 1 of Insane Horde on the Security map. Clear the wave, get XP, jump into the fences, repeat.

That was Gears 2, the Tick Tick Boom Horde event with Tickers and Boomers. I let my Xbox run during that event, too. On the Security map, Tickers would run into the fences or go blow themselves up at the button trying and failing to turn off the fence. I don't remember if the Boomers could turn off the fences, but splash damage from the Boomshot would sometimes get me behind the fence.

Yeah.... I think I'm completely sold on Wreckfest. I just can't decide if the 20 extra cars in the Deluxe edition is worth an extra $20...

https://youtu.be/9Ig5uPm3GaY

Just hoping the U.S. Rewards Hot Deal gets fixed so I can use some funny money to buy the game

On a side note, it looks like those BC updates are fixing some of the poor alphabetizing. My Oblivion tile is now under Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, almost all of the MGS games are spelled out now, and all my Splinter Cell games are under 'Tom Clancy's' now.

Resident Evil Revelations 2 is still under BHR2 :(

I just gotta say that the level on Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice where you're completely in the dark is one of the coolest levels I've played in all gaming.  Playing in the middle of the night with headphones blasting probably made it much more entertaining, but holy crap I won't forget that for awhile.  When I got to the part with the
creatures in the house and all along the path

Do you count vehicular combat as controlling the vehicle, or also just riding a vehicle? I remember the tank section in Act 3, stupid frozen lake. I don't remember much else where you're controlling the vehicle, though there are parts where you're riding a vehicle and possibly using it's weaponry (assault derrick turrets).

There's been vehicle segments in each of the numbered games so far. I don't remember if there were any in Judgment, though I don't think there were.
I mainly consider vehicle combat as controlling the vehicle, but I do somewhat consider riding in one too as vehicle combat. I'm not a big stationary turret on a moving vehicle fan, and any game that has them instantly loses favor with me. But that frozen lake part was just awful. Literally took me close to 30 minutes as I timed it.

I also consider controlling a reaver as vehicle combat too, even though a monster is obviously not a vehicle. My main gripe in this game is that it apparently takes 10-12 hours to beat but at least 2 of those hours are spent either controlling a moving thing or shooting off a moving thing, with almost each act having 30+ minutes of vehicular combat. This was supposed to be a 3rd person cover shooter.

Are the vehicle parts less abundant in the next few games or does it just continue where 2 left off?

Trying The Bard's Tale Trilogy. It may be accurate, but that means the UI is funky. I can't figure out how to level up. Or where to go in the area they set you down in.

How much do you like jiggling boobs and paying a ridiculous sum for additional outfits? If the answer is yes, then this game is for you.
Don’t care about the outfits as long as the gameplay is good. And boobs? Who doesn’t like boobs? :)

I should pass anyway. Got too much in the backlog and if I want any fighting game it’s probably MK 11.

How are you seeing the entire list? All I get is Rage 2 when I click that
A lot of items are selling out quickly. I had Rage 2 standard, World of Final Fantasy Maxima and Mutant League all in my cart and the order would not go through. All items went out of stock. I did happen to get Hitman 2 Gold Edition to go through, though. Some really fantastic deals on their site at the moment.

I got DMC HD Collection, A Way Out, Call of Cthulhu, Vampyr for shipping before they sold out and Rage 2 Deluxe for in store pickup.

I just gotta say that the level on Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice where you're completely in the dark is one of the coolest levels I've played in all gaming. Playing in the middle of the night with headphones blasting probably made it much more entertaining, but holy crap I won't forget that for awhile. When I got to the part with the
creatures in the house and all along the path
my heart was racing as I was terrified. Beautifully crafted level.
I was thinking about that game and yeah I know this is a very weird hung over connection since it's a fairly standard traversal system, what if Phil approached Marvel/Disney right now about making a Spiderman game... yeah wouldn't happen

Gameplay is pretty solid for DOA. Mostly small tweaks from 5 if you played that, just nicer looking with new stages and characters. Costume prices are out of control when compared to the competition, but you can at least buy each outfit individually for $2-3 if you really want one, on PS4 you could only buy them in huge packs.

$15 is a good price since individually buying characters is like $5 each, plus you'll have the story mode. Part of the negative reception at launch was a lack of features, but casual lobbies have been added since then, which was the main missing feature. Since the game has a F2P version I assume it will keep a decent playerbase, at least at the lower ranks. I never had trouble finding games but I stopped playing a couple months ago. You can play 4 characters for free if you want to try the game out.

All you'll miss out as far as actual content in that boxed copy are Nyotengu (pre-order character), and Phase-4 (collector's edition character). So far they have also added King of Fighters characters Mai Shiranui and Kula Diamond post launch.

So...Anthem Legion of Dawn edition is $14 at M$ store. Would anybody recommend it? I do have ea access but it’s not in the vault yet.

I'd consider the new DOA if it were digital. I just don't want to have to swap discs on my Xbox One... it's already a big hassle on the PS4.

General consensus seems to be that the Cataclysm event was mediocre at best while not really fixing many of the issues the game has. The upcoming road-map is nearly non-existent and shrouded in mystery. The lead producer of the game left Bioware two weeks ago.

Personally I'd stay away still. Supposedly the producer that left has a reputation of making terrible decisions on previous projects so that one might actually be a good thing.

Okay, I guess I’ll hold off. It’ll come to EA access eventually. Thanks for the heads up.

I was going to buy We Happy Few because I've been so morbidly curious about it, but then I saw Wal-Mart has it for 15.24 so I just got it from there.
