If you could compare Catherine to another game, what would that other game be?  I'm not really into Japaneezy games but if it's fun to play I'll get it but I'm wondering what are some other games similar to Catherine.

There's a couple of synth wave podcasts on the Xbox One Podcasts app that I really like.

I only recently discovered synth wave / retro wave music last year. These 2 podcasts helped me find some artists I may not have discovered on my own. Now if only Band Camp had a Xbox One App. Thankfully you can put songs on your One Drive and listen to them through the Groove Music app.

This is a long shot but there's a game called Robo5 on Android (looks like it may no longer be available on iOS). But the puzzle mechanics are almost identical to Catherine.

Can't say this enough. Storywise, ME1 > ME2 > ME3, though as a package, ME2 > ME1 > ME3. And this comes from going through two playthroughs of each game at 55hr+ each.

Well, that Robo5 game came after Catherine so obviously it took inspiration from it. But looks like it's just a buck on Google Play and you can get a refund within two hours so if anyone wants to see what the puzzles are like in Catherine and has an Android, that's not a bad option to try out.

So I picked Awesomenauts and loaded a game tonight, the nice thing is it will load you into an online match that starts with bots then drop others in as the game goes on but there weren't many people playing at about 8pm est. I'm gonna keep playing and hope more players are on. Maybe this weekend I will have better results.

You could try hooking this up to the 3.5mm port on the controller, but it would be cumbersome and suffer from some lag. I can't really think of anything else since the Xbox doesn't have Bluetooth functionality or support USB adapters.
 
DOOM mp players? How do you use hacks and how do you launch your demon? Just tried mp for the first time like an hour ago and now rank 7, got the victory achievement. Didnt like it at first but it kinda grew on me a little. Red/blue is too Halo ish

Wait. .. doesn’t the XB1 support fully wireless headsets? And wouldn't those work with a USB adapter (since it doesn't support Bluetooth)?

I just got an XB1 S for Xmas, and am looking for a decent, reasonable priced headset ($80-100). I was hoping to get a fully wireless one to play games, similar to the PlayStation Gold headset I use with my PS4 and PS3. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I heard the Ipad version is excellent to the point where people wanted them to port the controls to the Steam version.

Hopefully they can release a Switch version ;)

But yeah the combat was more Baldur's Gate back in the day. Mass Effect 2 took away a lot of the RPG elements but damn was the combat good. ME2 might not be my favorite game of all time (Suikoden 2 still is) but it was my favorite game on the 360 just ahead of the first Bioshock.

I can't believe Nintendo couldn't get Tetris on the NES classic. Damn them Bloomy!

I know most of you don't care about Elite Dangerous, but this is awesome and worth watching. There's been hints of an alien race being in the game for like a year, and someone just made first contact today.

This one is 129.99 at TB website (may be cheaper elsewhere, but I didn't look). It is completely wireless. Most of the first gen X1 headsets required the chat adapter and a wire to connect to your controller headphone jack.

I always played Femshep so it meant in the end I was stuck with Samantha, who was cool but a distant third place when Tali and Jack are the obvious best choices.

Thanks. If it's just the chat function that requires a cable/adapter for most headsets, that wouldn't matter to me.

Here and there, I think it maybe only video game podcast I listen to. I Like the casual sensibility they have towards games where it isn't "ZOMG! HOW DARE THIS DEVELOPER DO THIS?!" Since I get that enough from enough people and other websites.

Started The Division yesterday and I have to say it has been awhile since I played a game I kinda love and hate at the same time.  There are times when it produces some really nice moments but as a solo player mainly there are times when I just wonder if the game designers even care about the solo player.  I would love to know if mission design changes at all if you are solo or in a group.  As far as I can tell it does not and I am really not looking to experience the campaign with randoms.  I like to take my time.  I am so used to Warframe now that adjusts enemy density based on the number of players.   Oh well I think in the end I will finish the campaign, mop up some achievements and move on.

Aside from the random NPCs and encounters you see on the streets, the main activities do take player count into consideration. I played through the whole campaign solo on one my characters. When solo, the one thing to be mindful of, so that you don't have a bad time, is to get yourself at least one level above the recommended story mission's level. So do side missions or encounters until you level up. Then do the next story mission. Rinse and repeat. It's useful to do that anyways because those encounters unlock areas in your base and give you access to more perks and abilities.
