Speaking of PS4, I bought ADR1FT this weekend since it was $6 on the PSN sale. It is okay, but the XB1 fam isn't missing much without it.

Yeah, I had a tab open on the deal page yesterday, refreshed to do an order and it said that "due to popular demand" the deal had ended early. First time I've ever heard the phrase used to explain something bad happening. "Hey, this deal is so great that we're just gonna end it! Thanks!"

Has anyone been able to play Halo Wars DE on either Xbox One or Windows 10? I redeemed one of those NYC event codes and the game downloaded as a 10 MB token with Halo Wars 2 but I couldn't find how to launch it. I've since deleted that token and now it doesn't show up in my RtI list for the console or for Halo Wars 2.
 
The first post listing this week's deals doesn't show GTA V?  For some reason, that's on sale again this week, in case anyone missed it last week.  (I only noticed because I've been watching the price for someone who wanted to get it...)

When did you first install HW2 or put in the code if it's digital? It seems there is a timed wait between when you install HW2 and getting a code via the dashboard for HWDE. I had the 10MB placeholder for a good while but I didn't get the dashboard code until over a week after putting in my HW2 code. Not sure if that was because it was a week before release but I would think now that it's out they wouldn't make you wait.

I played through Halo Wars definitive early January. I didn't get my code until about a week after ordering though so there is likely a delay
 
The code for HW DE is supposed to be delivered via XBL message between 7-10 days after purchase (or redemption, in the case of a UE code purchased from Amazon or the like).

I redeemed the code and started the download Thursday evening. What is odd is that I uninstalled and reinstalled that token a few times to see if it would "knock loose" the DLC and let it download the full effect, but when I tried that this morning it just didn't reappear for me to redownload it.

What else is odd is that I also have the Isabel Pack from that initial redemption, and after I soft restarted my console this morning, that was no longer installed and had to be redownloaded.

I guess I'll wait til the end of the week to see if I get a message from Xbox Live with a HW:DE code.

Damn, forgot about that. I already picked up Catherine, Blue Dragon, and DBZ UT which puts me at $20 and some change. I would have picked up Xenoverse if I had remembered the promo, but Xeno 2 will probably work. If they add up to $20, I might instead grab MagnaCarta2, Bayonetta, and Trials of BD.

You know, I want to believe that, but why have that limit of 1 per customer in the fine print if you can get a $5 gift card for each. It's not like you can buy multiple copies of the same title digitally on the same account.

Anyway, is it worth a gamble to buy multiple movies in hopes of getting multiple gift card credits? If we don't end up getting the $5 gift card credits for the extra movies, is Microsoft pretty good about refunding people?

Damn, tempted to jump on all of them simply to break up the gift cards I have into $5 increments. Certainly picking up Hateful Eight, Django, There Will Be Blood, and The Departed as I might actually watch those again. Doubtful I'd boot up m$ movies when I already have them in my Plex library, but whatevs.

Tempted to try buying all with my $300 of Xbox Credit... but even if I got $5 back for each, I bet the promotional credits I would get back would have to be used in a year. HMMMM Decisions.

 
I thought Sony was actually developing the Crash Trilogy but it's an Activision studio. It definitely could be timed exclusive. The discussion seems have come up because Sony Irland tweeted that it was exclusive, but then deleted the tweet. It doesn't appear to have it's own website, I'd expect it to have an asterisk like Destiny DLC does if it was going to be multiplatform. I could see anywhere from 3-12 months before it could go to Xbone and maybe Switch.

Looking at the the E3 and PS Experience that it was shown at, and on official Sony outlets like their YouTube, I don't see the "Exclusively on Playstation" disclaimer on anything that Sony always uses. Maybe there is something to this.

Sony probably just wants to capitalize on the original game's association with Playstation. Given that later Crash games were multiplatform, I'd be surprised if this was more than a timed exclusive.

DON'T DO IT! It's fine when you get the new "toys" to play with, but Jesus when there is a bug. It nukes your Xbox and it's very hard to get it working again. As soon as I can get mine working again and online I'm backing out.

I had to reset my console to factory settings twice, once with the current software available on Xbox.com for download, and the second time to the original code released on launch. The tech that helped me with the process said that if that had not worked then the console would have been "bricked" and there was nothing Microsoft could do about it in that case. Let other be the guinea pigs, there's not enough incentive to risk turning your console into a brick.

I haven't read anything about this bug and I haven't experienced it myself. Does it only rear its head when you try to join an MP session within a game, or when you try to play any game with an MP component (regardless of whether or not you are going to play MP)?

Other than one time where my console just lost its mind and I had to download an image from xbox.com, I've had no major issues with being in the beta or even alpha ring (except for maybe see above). I'm a big fan of being in betas and the occasional alpha, but I got stung really hard in the Windows Insider program. Something happened to my W10 desktop and it tried to download two different updates for my build of Windows and couldn't fully download either. I went through the restore process to go back to a previous version of Windows and the wizard was all, "Windows? I don't see Windows on here. Let's start from scratch, k?" I had to install Windows fresh from media, which sucked because I was still using my free upgrade from Win8 and had to pop open the install media I bought and use that product key.

TL;DR - I think squirrels are awesome too!

I know it's risky, I was just curious. I'm usually lucky with this kind of preview software, so I'm actually thinking of getting in, but I like snap and it's pretty much needed for Rainbow Six Siege if you want to get more XP
