Looking at a walkthrough, I think I got about half way through chapter 3 of RE4 on GameCube.

But now it's time to rectify that...

...after I get through about a dozen other games. :)

Sad to say it, but I missed RE4 mainly because an ex-supervisor of mine loved the game, and I hated him. He was a dick who made my life hell at a job that I had 11 or 12 years ago. The last thing I wanted to do was to go home and play it after hearing him praise it at work. So it had nothing to do with the game itself. And like others, I own the game on several formats and have never gotten past the title screen. It's weird sometimes how we have emotional responses to media only because of the context in which we discovered it. Or maybe I'm the only one this has happened to. There are certain songs from my teenage years that still put a lump in my throat when I hear them now.

You can add me to the list. I think I purchased every console version, multiple times on some, because I kept hearing nothing but great things about it. I finally played it last December and stopped after I got to the first village. The wonky controls was just too frustrating for me. I'll hopefully get around to trying it again soon.

Anyway, I'm 2/3 for BC titles today so that's cool. Too bad I beat both of them already. Stacking's great as is the Lost Hobo King DLC (wait for a sale on both though, $20 is steep for such a short game) and Daytona USA is a classic.

Don't have TowerBloxx, apparently it was on sale once back in 2010 and never again.

Whoever theorized the RE bundle glitch is back because of some sort of server rollback is probably correct.

Can't wait for all of us to get banned over it. :bouncy:

Edit: Oh shit, XBL Rewards finally bumped me to Star Rank 3, and I'm already 15% to Star Rank 4. Awesome.

After watching some Youtube/Twitch plays, it definitely seems like the animation issues were over-exaggerated. Plus, some of the "problems" that reviewers quoted have been there since the previous games.

Also, Zelda's won GOTY this year, there's no point to try and compare any other games to it that release this year.

I'm terrible with horror games, so all I've played from the series is 20 mins of RE 6 and an hour of Racoon City.

I lucked out and own all my RE on playstation so for 20 bucks I got most of my collection on one of my other systems totes worth it

for you not as much if you're low on funds

if you got the cash buy it just for fun

 
I've somehow only bought RE 4 twice, though I've only finished it on PS2. If I had one less game I'd buy this bundle, but it's still not worth it as I don't think I'd play 4 or 6 very soon. Honestly a lot of RE4's gameplay feels clunky when compared to RE5's many little refinements, so I actually prefer it overall.

Sorry man! My game was crashing like crazy, and I could only get it to work with jimbo. We're gonna run BL 2 again tomorrow or Thursday, we'll definitely get you in if XBL isn't shitting all over itself again.
 
Count me as another who owns far to many copies of resident evil but has only played 5.
For me its the fear of the anticipation of fear that prevents me from progressing in horror games. That's right, in games I'm afraid of being afraid! Lol

Yeah sucks you could not get connected till we were done. Took us 45 min to get connected and kept losing party chat. Hopefully they get it straight so we can party up.

No worries. I am just frustrated with XBox Live not working when I have time to play online. It's not often that I decide to play online and experiences like tonight are not fun. Glad you and Jimbo could play a bit.

 
I've been playing Far Cry:primal the past week and enjoying the shit out of it. That kind of SP game is right up my alley. Kind of reminds me of Shadows of Mordor or something.

It's a good thing I have stuff to play. Thursday and Friday will be spent with a bag of frozen peas on my crotch.

Primal surprised me because the best thing about Far Cry is the weapons. They pulled it off though.

Agreed, was playing this before Horizon, was upset to stop until playing HZD, but traded that today and looking forward to finishing Far Cry Primal. Have always been a sucker for a good Bow and Arrow in a game, still love Turok.

Turok was my first 64 game and I've always loved those games. I actually really enjoyed the 360 one but I don't think many people played it

primal is cool but as an animal lover I wasn't a big fan of the opening mission of that game

I'd love to see more Turok games

 
I've actually beaten Resident Evil 4 on Gamecube and PC, and own it on 360 and now Xbox 1, so am I doing this wrong? Pffft and some think the current president's daughter is annoying...

 
Well, after arguing back and forth with MS about the stupid Oscar movie deal, ended up having all 12 of my purchases refunded and,of course, licenses pulled. They argued that the deal ended had ended at the time of purchase (around 9:30-10 pm Feb. 27 when it was plastered all over the pages for the movies and IIRC was until Feb. 28).

Just pissed about the whole fiasco. But when I was getting no where with the $60 gift card argument after numerous calls and emails, I was done and just wanted my money back.

So far the potential is there but retail is too much of a thing for the industry still. Ask me again when we get the PS5 and the Xbox Two, since Steam has normalized all of this on the PC end, but the console industry is still very much a physical presence in general.

Emulation and VC-type services make up the rest. I'm sitting on a lot of NES and SNES games because of their value but get tired looking at shelves and shelves of games, even if my inner child is rejoicing. Having stuff means being responsible for it, and I have too many immaterial responsibilities already.

My biggest concern is that if fewer and fewer games are available physically, we will start seeing fewer and fewer Collector's Edition versions of games. Gotta keep those SteelBook cases coming!

That doesn't bode well for me. I've been waiting a week and a half to get a final answer, after my initial 2+ hour phone call during which I let them take over my computer to gather evidence - the same evidence they have made me subsequently email them. I have the original screenshot of the deal terms taken on my phone, they show it was supposed to run through 11:59 PM PST on the 27th. The last time I looked at it, I noticed that the end date showed "2016" (whereas the start date correctly shows "2017"). I suppose they could use that to claim that other parts of it, such as the end timezone, were in error as well.[attachment=26022:Screenshot_20170227-223735.png]

I keep contemplating the resident evil bundle. If it drops down for a third time I think I may fold. Since I used the last of my credit up last week I may hold off on buying anything unless there's a super deal on something I really want until south park and red dead. I bought a 4tb external during the visa checkout sale and installed 285 of my 385 games, maybe I should actually play some of those.

Speaking of playing games. Any chance anyone has scrabble on X1? I want to get the stupid mp achievement and of course no one is playing and no one has joined my TA session. Should only take a few minutes.

Wheels of Aurelia - A story game(walking sim but driving a car) set in 70's Italy, I liked it a lot

My least favorite was Dear Esther followed distantly by Fragments of Him. They all have easy achievements and don't overstay their welcome. If you don't go in expecting AAA games and are willing to overlook some minor issues I think they are all entertaining.
