I see that there is a Resident Evil 7 Deluxe combo pack that comes with the latest movie and I wonder how many people would consider that a worthwhile inclusion...

Really though, if you're with someone who is making what you do to unwind an issue, why are you with them? Find someone who will play games with you, or are at least somewhat interested in them.

The wife and I play Minecraft, Nazi Zombies, Gears of War, Diablo 3, and Animal Crossing together. She also plays The Sims, Elder Scrolls Online, and numerous other games on her own.

I guess it just depends on the women you're around. Hasn't really been an issue personally but I've never been big on just picking up a girl to "score".

Really, I get the impression that some of the recent comments are from people don't talk to enough people in general and are making assumptions based on nothing. In my local social circle alone I know at least 4 or 5 women that play a lot of video games, and I see a hell of a lot more at the local geek hangouts. I think there are still more men in the hobby by a decent margin, but there are still plenty of women around now too. Our little Xbox thread isn't exactly a great sample size. What do we have, 50 regulars max?

I've never been more perfectly summed up. For many years, I was nice to women and I got nowhere. Now, all the jerks I went to high school with are married (if Facebook is any indication), and I'm still alone. They get to have sex at least once a week now. Meanwhile, I spend my nights lurking the Maitland Ward sub-Reddit. It's not fair.

Contributing to the off topic talk - southern CA boy for 30+ years, fav team is the Atlanta Braves cause I watched TBS games on tv. They were always on and Atlanta seemed like such a cool place in the late 80's/early 90's. Green Bay Packer fan cause my school colors were purple n gold, so everyone was a Vikings fan. I wanted to be different and I love cheese. Basketball I just enjoy watching the great athletes play - Lebron, Steph, Kawhi. Entertain me

Regarding the opposite sex - Divorced after being w/a girl through all my 20's and escaped the crazy fiancée last year upon learning she hid a drug addiction from me for 10 months. I got out quick after learning that. Now I have the wisdom and confidence i never had(after going thru a lot of shit), so I can brandish a mohawk and goatee long enough to braid. Screw the bars and dating co-workers. The gym, grocery store, church and game-related hangouts are the best places to meet cool people for me. Course, those four places I mentioned are some of my favorite hobbies(so to speak), so that's how I meet like-minded individuals who share some interests I have

I'm getting pretty interested in Injustice 2 as well, but I think it's worth waiting for at least some kind of bundle if not just the eventual GOTY. I want to read the comic before anyways, as I've heard pretty good about it, and it was running continually pretty much since the last game came out.

A friend of mine has been playing it and praising it pretty highly. Only thing I'm not sure about is the randomly generated levels.

What do you mean "turn the thread into"? this thread has been nothing else from the beginning, and that's why people kepp coming back...it's why I keep coming back even though I'm not as active like I was years before...

As for the Mr. Niceguy talk. It's like others said, being nice but also being too shy/passive at the same time can really get in the way of finding a potential partner. I was like this too years ago, hell I was torture for me to even talk casually with anybody...but things changed, I changed, and confidence is a key. In my case the internet was a great help, since you can be more open to people if you don't have to confront them directly. At some point I just adopted the whole thing IRL: I'm more confident than ever, talking to people or girls is extremly easy now for me, even though I was really struggling wi that 10 years ago. I got my first relationship with 21 which is kinda late. I had 4 relationships so far the longest being 5 years, and with each you learn something more even if it didn't work out. 2 times they broke up, 2 times I broke up.

For all of you out there struggling, there IS a chance. I got out...it's not easy to overcome yourself and part of me will always be the introvert/shy person but I can deal with it now...better than ever. I'm even in a leadership position since 2 years where talking is everything...my 17 year old self would go cry and hide under the bed for being in such a situation...but here I am.

I don't think anyone will buy a game just to get a free movie but if the game is at a price point they want then the free movie is a bonus.

Free included movie has basically no value to me if I can't add it to Vudu. I don't watch movies on my consoles. Perhaps a hold over from the 360 days (RROD) and my original PS3 sounding like a Jet plane. Rather watch movies on Chromecast, Roku, BluRay player etc.

Also now that my gaming gear is in the basement less likely to watch a movie on it (watch movies upstairs on a larger TV).

 
Just got back from taking my family to Disneyland. If you think DLC is bad on Video games, try taking a Disney trip. The park entrance is the Standard version and then you can buy a LOT of DLC :)

So much fun though, my kids loved it. Haunted Mansion was the favorite ride, that and the Carousel, they are really young so they don't like the bigger rides yet.

Hey, I don't know you personally, but from what you just typed it would appear that perhaps you have baggage in terms of resentment and some idea that you've been *cheated* out of the attention from women you deserve. If you have that attitude, women will notice and it might as well be girl repellant.

Metal Slug 1 is really easy for 1k completion.

Fatal Fury 1+2, Art of Fighting, King of Fighters 94-95, Samurai Shodown, and Galaxy Fight all have the classic cheap SNK AI but can be done in 1-2 hours if you keep going at it.

I Only got one and it was done a few years back. I Got the Art is Resistance logo from the Nine Inch Nails, Year Zero album on my upper right arm.

I Just made sure before I got a tattoo that it means something personal to me and if someone were to confront me about it either immediately after I got it or even decades done the line I won't have any regret in getting it and can defend it. For me the tattoo was because I grew up with the band since really 3rd grade and I watched as they went as a means to channel all my angsty feelings into something more technical and kinda grew up with me. That and I enjoyed the ARG story that went with it and the fact that I can get behind art as any means of rebelling.

Also definitely sleep on it for awhile. I Had a few ideas back in the day that looking back I'm glad I didn't do before settling on this. Like really keep it in your mind for I'd say months before saying "yup, I want to spend a good amount of cash to get this on me."

Got three myself and all 3 have different styles and meanings. I personally thought on mine for a couple months after I first had the ideas and then went from there. I'm still debating on sleeves for both arms, my career field limits that idea unless I want to wear long sleeve shirts year round. Which I do not.

 
Date night needs to get here fast and be amazing. Pretty soon we are going to be sharing our favorite recipes for game day. This was one of the more surreal weeks.

Most people recommend only getting something if it really speaks to you. I've heard of putting a picture of a design up somewhere you'll see it every day for a month to get used to it. Really depends on you though, I know plenty of people that just get stuff they think is cool pretty regularly.

Personally, I got Peach after a friend of mine came up with a design I liked, same with a Jill Valentine. Games mean a lot to me, and Mario and Resident Evil were a big part of that history for me. I want to get a Samus tattoo next, something Claire Redfield related, and I'd like something Halo, probably my Reach Spartan if not Cortana. The plan is to eventually get full sleeves, with one probably being the major Nintendo girls, but money has been the hold up.

Some people want stuff for very personal reasons, others just want something that looks cool, start by figuring out why you really want one and that will probably set you down a path to deciding what (and if) you want to get.

I have 49ers logo on my arm. Loved the team all my life, so why not get a tattoo of it? I would avoid anything you haven't loved for less than 5 years. I almost got an Aldmeri Dominion (ESO) tattoo, but grew out of that phase within a year so glad I didn't.

I want to get Bob101910 somewhere. I was thinking inside of my lower lip.
