I think that second one was leaked like a year ago but hopefully it's finally coming true.

Gotta be honest: I skipped quite a few pages for this reason. Call me old fashioned, but I'd rather be surprised and let these companies reveal what they are offering when they want to.

#NotMyPricePoint I won't buy it at $499 but maybe in 3 years at $250. $499 is what I thought it might be but I was hoping for $399 so they could really sell a lot of units.
 
If I can get it for $400 with a trade then I will do it most likely.  I barely spend my disposable income and depending on the release date you are looking at a 4-5 month window to save your nickels.  $500 seems like a bad move all over again but many were predicting $599 so I guess this is a decent price point.

I have read that there *might* be multiple SKUs for Scorpio. But $499 is a fair price. 

Either way, it is a lose-lose for MS with the PC/Sony warriors.

If they feel it is too high, they will say "nobody will buy that lolz"

If they feel it is too low, they will say "that thing must suck lolz"

 
Seeing a few "reports" that Forza Motorsport 6 is one of the free games you get via Mixer today.

Consider it a rumor for now.

Yep, I just did this. It's deceptively easy. Go to the menu at the top, select "link to my Xbox" and it registers your gamertag with Mixer, which then appears in the upper right hand corner.

Gotta hand it to them, I probably never would have logged into this app if they didn't do this thing with E3, it's a great way to get people using it.

So are these Mixer things just a chance to win? Or for all people who watch? Not sure I'm going to be able to watch but if it's guaranteed that you'll get something for watching....well, perhaps I'll have to see if I can move some plans around.

If this was the price/spec back in 2013 I probably would have bought it vs the PS4. $100 premium for actual performance over a stupid Kinect would have been probably worth it to me.

Assuming this is the price I can see me upgrading eventually. No time soon unless there is a good trade promo. Even then I doubt an OG XBox one will get much in trade value.
 
$500? Oof. Guess I'll wait for a sale then.

I honestly think this is the plan all along. Hype it up as expensive as hell then show $400

Only way I'll bite at $500 if it includes the new revised elite controller that is rumored and a big pack in title like Forza 7.

I've only played the first Forza Horizon and don't know if Motorsport would be my thing (I'm guessing it's not) but free would be a great price to give it a go.

The internship I landed lets me work from home, so I'll probably have the press conference on while I work on that. I remember the 2013 conference and how much they said 'TV', I was bored to tears. Amazing how they've turned it around.

Lol at everyone now complaining about $499 all of a sudden. Sure $399 would be better but everyone was swearing it was going to be $600-$700 up until like 5 minutes ago it seems.

Indeed. To be truly competitive, they could have shown off the fact that it's more powerful than the PS4 Pro and then actually price match it, but whatever. As long as they give us a reason to buy the damn thing, I'm sure there will be some decent-enough trade-in specials somewhere for the XB1 to make the price reasonable enough. And with all XB1 titles working on Scorpio, there would be absolutely no reason not to trade your XB1 in anyway.

Exclusives, though. We need them. I seriously feel like this E3 is going to make or break them. There's been way too many PS4 exclusives lately that have caught my attention and they've had excellent variety, and Xbox Play Anywhere is hindering them, not helping them. I can sell of my XB1 and run Xbox exclusives on my PC better than my XB1 can (which is shocking considering my PC's age) and buy a PS4. Not that I want to, I have too much money invested in Xbox at this point, but I wouldn't be missing out on anything if I did.

I think I may have just gotten Forza Horizon 3 for free (with Mixer?).

I was looking a Reddit and saw people talking about already have gotten Forza 6 yesterday by logging in. But a few said they got Forza Horizon 3.

Anyway, logged in and went to the Xbox channel, which isn't streaming. No go on Forza 6. But just for grins I tried FH3 without the disc and it worked!

There isn't a free play weekend of FH3 right now is there?

Would have rather had Forza 6 since I don't own it but having FH3 digital is nice too. And guess I will trade in the disc...
 
I can't watch it live today. If I sign in and go to the Xbox mixer channel now staying idle I should still get the mixpot correct? I know on all other contests as long as your in chat you count even with the video stopped.

500 is the regular price when all the systems come out paid that for the xbox and 360 day one and for the ps1 day one i paid that. It will n e cheaper later but i know i will be geting ine on day one

My Forza 3 is starting without the disc as well
 
Where are you guys seeing what you won?

The $500 factor would probably be a non-factor for me if Switch weren't out. At $400 it's almost impulse level for me. But I still haven't bought a switch yet.

Didn't see anything, but some people on Reddit had said they got Forza 6 or FH3 yesterday (popped up in their Ready to Install).

I didn't see Forza 6 so just tried FH3 and it worked without the disc. Can't say 100% that I got it through Mixer but didn't own it digitally before.

Maybe it's unrelated and only temporary.

A couple days ago I think Dennis was saying something about it working without the disc so I assume it's free play for E3. I own both FM6 and FH3 digitally so I can't check it out myself.
