Easiest way is to check your X1 to see if the games were added to your "Games" or "Ready to Install" list. You can also log into the marketplace and see if it says you own each one.

I stand corrected. I Googled it, and 800 was the first number that came up. And I'd be surprised if half of those get the BC treatment on Xbox One. The funny part about this revelation is that somewhere around 400 Xbox games are already backwards compatible for 360, and barely anyone has used that feature since the 360 first came out. Can someone tell me why this is such a big deal on Xbox One when original Xbox games aren't even available at retail outlets? Is their plan to make Xbox Live more like Steam by making these old games available for download?

Ok so I'm away from my system currently. On vacation and didnt bring my xbone with me :(. Any suggestion as I'm not really enjoying mixer and want to stop it asap

If it was that simple, and they were smart, they should make it time based. Play at least 3 hours over 10 different days -- 1000g. That'll bump up those back compat gameplay hours for whoever decides to do a study in the future. lol

I was close to 10,000,000 in credit. Not anymore. Bought a 1966 Ford GT40. Picked 3 routes for the championship and set the laps to 1. Used the festival perk so I can start 1st.

I really dig most if these Forzathons. Gives me a reason to play the game for an hour or two ever week.

It's not as silly as something like SSX (although it does have some crazier events here and there). Events can get challenging and controls take a bit to get used to. I wouldn't call it a sim though.

What I absolutely love about it is how open world it is. Just being able to -- for the most part -- ski or snowboard wherever you want to go. Enormous mountains that allow you to just chill, take in the beautiful scenery and carve through the fresh powder. You can spend 30 minutes or more on a run if you wanted.

Just gives me the feeling of skiing like no other game in terms of that. I used to ski regularly but haven't for about 20 years. Steep brings back some of those memories (particularly when I was in the Rockies for a trip).

Not too big on some of the other game types like the wingsuits. Cool a couple of times but I prefer the ski and snowboard events.

I'm honestly not real far into the game because I have spent too much time just exploring.

As long as you watch the stream live and link your account you will get the games. Heck you dont even need the stream playing it can be paused and you will get it. It should not take a week. I think they are saying that because some people are not linking there accounts first and they have till the 16th.

I fail to understand how this is a selling point. It's a cool feature, but why are they thinking that this will be one of the things to make people run out to buy an Xbox One? Who makes money other than Amazon, Ebay, and thrift stores? Now, if they could make the equivalent of a NES Classic plug and play with emulated original Xbox games, I would buy that on day one.

According to Mixer's notification, I got the pot 19 hours ago, so it seems like they started handing them out right after the conference. I'm level 3.

You ever want to watch a movie that came out 10+ years ago? Even if you don't use it, it is a step to making sure we can hold onto our gaming history. It's almost impossible to play so many games because the hardware hardly exists anymore, why you get things like Sonic CD ports on phones.

If Microsoft is spending time talking about original Xbox games being BC with all Xbox1 family, I will hope they are smart enough to begin selling the games in the Xbox marketplace.

Good point. I suppose those of us who keep our old consoles and games are in the minority. I do like the idea of playing these games with a HDMI cable instead of reds and whites.
 
Watched a 4 minute Crackdown playthrough. It looks like Crackdown with a bit more cell-shaded presentation.  The movement looks good but at least the SP portion looks like it has no major destruction mechanic.  I wonder if they abandon the MP portion of the game.
