This thread will maintain a list of all current and upcoming sales and markdowns on the Xbox Live Marketplace / Xbox Games Store for the USA.  YMMV in other regions.  If non-US sales are listed, they will be marked with their applicable region(s).

Please note:

  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.  This requires being a paid subscriber or within a console-activated "1 month complimentary Gold trial" account.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.
  • All known sales and information on sales should make their way into the OP. Major Nelson usually updates his blog with new sales information every other Tuesday.
  • ALL OFFERS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE! No information within this thread can or should be construed as accurate (or still valid), therefore ...
  • Always verify Xbox Live Marketplace prices before your purchase!
  • Spend wisely, have fun, and enjoy!

Before that comment, there was shockingly little Titanfall discussion in this thread actually.
I'm assuming because most people haven't picked up the game yet, haven't played because they're not home from work yet, or because they're busy playing. I'm sure we'll hear more about it tonight and tomorrow.

Well, that and the fact that's it's only on Xbox One and the PC at the moment, not 360.

Or maybe because people are trying to keep it on topic with XBL Deals discussion.

lololol Psyche! Or everyone else could be being split in half between piloting a robot or getting killed a few hundred times with Dark Souls II right now.

Looks like the after school Titanfall rush is affecting Xbox Live according to Xbox Live Service Status and floods of Ambassador questions asking why they can't sign in. Hopefully it gets fixed soon.

Just got an email from Harmonix about the Ooby Dooby song not counting for 1950s part of every decade achievement in Rock Band Blitz. I wasn't expecting one, but ended up getting a very positive response.

EDIT: The code was for 160 Microsoft Points ($2). I asked if there was any news about an update or a refund of 80 Microsoft Points ($1). I will be taking the suggestion in the email and picking up a Johnny Cash song.

"Hello!

A solution for your issue has been suggested.

The song Ooby Dooby by Roy Orbison is a bit of a strange case. While the song was originally released in the 1950s, the song we put out is actually from a rerecorded album, released in 1987. Because of this, the song has two dates attached to it in the song’s data. As you’ve noticed, some aspects of the game recognize it as a 1950s song, while others recognize it as a 1980s song. This isn’t something we’re able to easily change, since both dates are technically correct.

We are sorry for the confusion we know this has caused some players who may have purchased the song explicitly for the Achievement. Here’s a blank song code that will allow you to purchase a different 1950s song in order to unlock the Achievement. One of the Johnny Cash songs will do the trick!"

Major Nelson tweeted about it:

http://twitter.com/majornelson/statuses/443498090561933312

I love how he clarified it wasn't a Titanfall issue. I guess a "Titanfall issue" and an "issue caused by Titanfall" are technically different...

Killer Instinct is still fresh, but I wish 360 fightsticks would work with it.

I'm super jelly about those that get to play Titanfall today. Friday feels so far away. Sounds like launch went pretty smoothly, so late beta wasn't a waste of time.
There's a little doohickey that you can purchase (came out in winter of last year I think) that allows use of any controller on anything...but I don't remember what it's called. I heard SBFP talking about it on their podcast, I'll update when I find it again.

Actually I recall it might have been a USB attachment. Does the XBone have USB?

(EDIT: I believe it's the CronusMax)

Don't worry, the 360 owners are right there with you regarding having to wait for Titanfall. Except you're lucky to get it on Friday, rather than two weeks later.

I read over at SRK that it was causing problems (breaking X1s). I might look into it more once (if) Titanfall starts getting boring. I'm looking forward to Fulgore. I've been using Spinal since he came out and have actually been winning.

It's a shame that he doesn't have a website or something like that where he could post important information for everybody to see when things go awry with something on Xbox 360/One/Live.

WTF!!!!! I JUST ordered SC5 from GoHastings for 11! PLUS shipping! That's so stupid!

Retro city Rampage? Any roeper and eberts out there? Not sure if i should spend the moeny
Personally I enjoyed the PC version of RCR a lot; I considered it a lot more fun and the missions better constructed than Grand Theft Auto, although I'm admittedly quite jaundiced against that series. RCR is top-down, an a knowledge of 80s gaming and general pop culture is practically mandatory to really get the most out of it.

Also, there's a 3DS version which is supposed to be the best one available. Consider this before buying the Xbox 360 game.

It's because it'll show up in the blog history, and you can't have that happen! (Same thing with the delayed February update).

Or because more people look at Xbox Support when something goes wrong and that's why they moved it there.

Cheese and crackers I didn't think the sign in problem would last this long. Constant stream of people asking for updates in Ambassador Chat.

I couldn't care less about console war, and what i said could be applied to any major launch of any next-gen console. It shocks me the acceptance mood towards an unreleased and first-timer franchise, people should be more cautious and it can't be denied that Titanfall is the current (only?) exclusive game hook for the xbone. Why the rush? But i'm not here to flame the thread, keep having a good time.
Expect the reaction if you just state out a single lined statement and then place a hashtag in your post. More cautious? The team of Respawn are behind Medal of Honor: Allied Assault, Modern Warfare 1 & 2 and now the hit Titanfall. I think the hype, which initially grabbed so many E3 awards you couldn't fit them all on a retail box copy, was well deserved, positive feedback from the beta was a good sign, so yeah move along.

The man was actually traveling back to Seattle as he went to Austin for the SXSW Titanfall Twitch Launch Event, he tweeted a pic today of him looing at his Titanfall laptop at the airport.

The CMS for his site can't be that complex that he couldn't post something quickly if he has internet access. He even tweeted several times within a half-hour of that tweet.

It seems that if people were signed in before and signed in shortly after the problem began, it didn't affect them. It also seems like not everyone was affected by the multiplayer problems considering these guys have been streaming since yesterday.

Yeah, it only affects some people. I wonder if it is a problem with a certain isp.

The fact that you said Roeper rather than Siskel suggests you may not fully enjoy this game.
I wish there was a "Post of the Day" feature, because this would be it. (Sorry bardock).

Makes me sad, but part of me likes to think that wherever they are, they're butting heads over their opinions in movies, just like old times.

Poor Roeper, had some big shoes to fill.

Beat Dead Space 2 tonight finally. Dam Chapter 14 was intense and I give props who beat it on the highest difficulty.  I almost feel bad I waited so long to play DS1 and DS2.  These games scare the crap out of me but they are so well done.  Hopefully the 3rd won't be too big a disappointment.  Not sure if I will jump into right away though. Need to clean up some achievements and then play Severed.

Probably gonna go for SoulCalibur V.  Single player seems to be the weak point of the game, but is there stuff to unlock at least?  Even if the single player is sub-par, I'm sure I can get into it if it offers some sense of progression.

Nope, you can get it for $5 on X1 if you have the PC/WP8 version though.

Yeah, and you had to have bought either of those versions by a certain date (back in December of 2013, I believe) in order to see the discounted rate on the X1/360. Overall, a pretty enjoyable game.

Ah, was unaware there was a certain date. I got it for the $5 the day it came out on the One, but yeah it's a fun twin stick shooter

Wednesday whine engaged......Back to working my backlog over; I either have this week's deals or they just are not compelling enough to go for them. Wednesday whine energy depleted.

All i care of this Titanfall crap, is the fact that it's supossed to be the reason why there's no online for Dark Souls 2
currently.
Wait wait wait

Does Dark Souls not have online play yet or was this just a temporary problem? Was thinking about trying it from Redbox, bit I need me coop.

I thought that the 360's marketplace would be long forgotten now with X1, but it seems we'll still be able to get some good things this year, it's something!  :D/

In for, at least (and half off their price xD):

- Batman Blackgate

- Child of light

- Pier Solar (for cheap)

- Abyss Odyssey

- Shantae

- Super Time Force

Nice looking schedule. I backed the Shantae Kickstarter so I've paid for that already, and Child of Light is looking like a definite buy as well.

I see Syberia; assuming that's a straight port of the old PC adventure game? Pretty cool.
