  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.

Guacamelee was okay. Glad I got it for free. Have fun trying to find every single collectible though. I got 80% worth of the achievements and said fuck this, it was way too tedious going for 100% completion.

Can anyone tell me how good the DLC for Dishonored is? I was planning on playing that starting tomorrow to fill the gap till Destiny comes out but $29 for all the DLC seemed kind of steep. $14.50 making me give it another look.

I could say fuck Dishonored even if it was free and get Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon. I almost picked it up last time it was $5 but didn't.

Amazon has the GoTY ed which went down to $15 just this morning (for who knows how much longer) if digital is a tipping point....

I loved it and 1000'd it, finding the objects, getting the mask parts, and getting all of the gold stars in El Infierno was never a chore for me.

LIFELINE DLC doesn't act like the rest of the SoD engine in that he game time stops when you're not playing, ie. go ahead and play it then come back in a month and everything should be as you left it... unlike the core game and BREAKDOWN DLC.

I just came down from a month and a half bender playing from the core game all the way through both DLCs* (although BREAKDOWN is never-ending, I played for weeks upto level 8--suffice to say I've experienced most of what he game had to offer and then some), see my sig for some validity.

Is your statement based on the license, or is it the best LEGO game ever in your opinion?

I enjoy the LOTR universe, but I'd rather play a super hero over Sword Guy #5. I'm willing to accept that it's not the license, just trying to get a feel for whether it's something I would invest time in.
 
Shadow Complex should not be missed. Just buy it. Spec ops looks like bargain bin soon for physical and not in a hurry to play it.

Will get the SoD dlc though. Played Mafia and it's a solid fun time.

Not a bad sale at all!

FWIW the initial real-life penalties have been dulled down significantly with all of the "TUs" (title updates) that they've done over time, the main improvement is that playable characters that are part of your crew can no longer be killed off in the off-time. Also, you can probably get through the main, core campaign in about 10-15 hours if that helps ease any trepidation for you--and anyone else thinking about it.

(Mild apologies for being a fanboy, the game definitely has some rough edges, and their forum is a anachronistic mess of old info and new.)

this ps3 one is on disc and requires install. i assume to 360 one is the same. the nachos are good, idk about the tacos.

It's not necessarily related to the image (Oscar was actually Mexican), but as the politically incorrect person in this thread (apparently), it's offensive when people use "Mexican" as a synonym for "Hispanic." It's when you start calling those from Guatemala or Colombia or Argentina "Mexican" that it becomes hatespeech...and I love it.

 
Picked up some games on GoD: Banjo Kazooie N&B, Spec Ops The Line, and Lego LOTR. Hear enough good things about Lego LOTR that I will try it at $5. The other two I got on physical discs, but can sell me and get the digital versions, less cases taking space in my house.

I added Crysis 3 to my backlog at the $12 price back in July and now I'm regretting it. $5.99 is a stupid price. I'm definitely going to pick up Banjo, SC5, and maybe Mafia.

Generalizing it always bad. This is exactly the same as calling a European (Germany, Sweden, UK. Etc) gringo... They find it offensive and an act of IGNORANCE, so if anyone is referring to all Latins as Mexicans please study a bit and try to act less ignorant.

Are the people posting all of these games on sale (mostly 1 game per post) watching xbldb update and posting the moment a new one shows up? If these are the normal weakly sale games, then why is everyone so eager to post and buy them right away when they will be posted on the first page of this thread soon and should be available all week? What am I missing?

Lego Hobbit is the only game posted so far I don't own on either PS3 or X360, but it's $10 and every time (without exception) that I cave in and buy a XBL game for $10, it's guaranteed to be $5 or less within 6 months. I think I'll just wait for it to hit $5 like Lego LOTR did. The Walking Dead S2 for $10.04... that was $7.49 last month. Some of the others are really good prices (Crysis 3, Specs Ops the Line), but I got the physical discs for those (and most of the others) for around $10 last year. If I could trust M$ not to pull the plug on the X360's digital games, I might be more inclined to buy XBL games, but right now I'd rather pay a bit more for physical discs in case they remove the games from their servers and cut off X360s from XBL in a few years.

You were actually right with your post! It's all about the pride of each country... Like Asians are not all Chinese. And yes there will be a lot of people who won't be offended because they don't even know what ignorance means.

Picked up the Bioshock Infinite season pass because I thought it'd never go on sale. I'll take that bone. Otherwise I own pretty much everything else but may convert some stuff to digital.

For any fans of Metroidvania games or awesome games in general both Shadow Complex and Guacamelee are awesome. I highly recommend both. I've 100%ed Guacamelee 3 times already and I rarely do that. It's luchador themed with lots of game references. The music is really catchy. Shadow Complex is completely different thematically. They're unique enough for me to recommend both.

Oh, no, I knew I was right. My response was 100% serious. I just mean that it's such a silly thing to worry about. I mean, I guess I just see it as a bit of a self-contraction. Foreigners leave their countries to move to America, then get mad when you don't want to honor/respect the heritage of nations they chose to leave. It's a bit of that "go back to your country, then" mentality, I guess, but at the same time, so many of us white Americans are mutts to the fullest extent possible (I'm several Europeans nationalities, and I don't know/care the whole list), so we don't have the front-row seat to the logic of such things.

There's my cultural rant. I don't care what you claim your nationality to be. If you moved to America (legally), call yourself American, because I'm not some geneticist who knows the physical characteristics of different ethnicities.

 
trying to complete my 1000 GS for far cry 3. Ubisoft is brainless and doesn't give people the option to kick players in co-op. two in one game were afk and we can't continue the mission without them.

is there anyway to set the preference for which chapter to do in public co-op either? tell me im missing the option. i see it in private co-op but not public

I totally agree with the part that you say that if someone goes to live in the states that they should consider themselves Americans... This is not about nationalism is about culture and ethnicities, but if it's easier for you to call all Latins Mexicans then go ahead... I know it must be really hard to understand all this genetics and stuff.

And leave alone the reason why people from all around the world migrate to the states (that gives america that unique arrai of cultures)... I'm quite sure that that's beyond your understanding.

Those online achievements are glitchy as fuck on 360. I swear I had to do some of those levels like 6 times just to get them to pop. Well at least for me they were glitchy.

i was able to find a competent team. got ready or not completed. no one ever gives me good reviews. i have no headset and always go medic. :(

the most retarded shit about co-op in FC3 is that even if you put the damn thing on Casual difficulty, its like goddamn INSANE MODE! I understand enemies getting a buff due to the number of players but they went waaaay the fuck overboard there. Stupid ass devs, if I put some shit on the easiest setting, OBVIOUSLY I'm not looking for a controller-smashing rage session.

I know enough about reasons for immigrating, but no reason on the matter changes my stance. The idea that you have to have first-hand or second-hand experience to understand a concept's moronic.

Yeah it's weird. We were on normal and I had to revive them about 13 times. I tried private co-op but it needs 2 players and im alone. :( also no 2nd controller.
