  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.  This requires being a paid subscriber or within a console-activated "1 month complimentary Gold trial" account.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

What's the deal with the XB1 sales?

Such a bummer Raptr can't keep track of XB1 time and now xbldb doesn't pick up the sales either. But I'm guessing that's a issue on MS side. Wouldn't be a issue with Raptr if my X1 actually kept the right amount of time played with my games.

The X1 drought has been having me play the 360 quite a bit lately. Titanfall can't come soon enough.

Anniversary is a darn good game, I'm enjoying it. But if you want the best of the bunch skip right to Fable 2. That is one of my all time favorites and definitely worth $10. You might find it cheaper on ebay or at Gamestop, though.

There's nothing there to initiate a download. It just tells me that I had purchased the game where there used to be the purchase button. I don't see a way to access the Download History for Xbox One games to set them to download either, as they only seem to offer that for Xbox 360.

For all you guys with Batman Arkham Origins, this is probably not the news you would like to hear, nor is it very good PR for the devs lol.

It was a stupid fucking idea to add MP to the Arkham series in the first place. Ruined what was otherwise an awesome game. I would have tried to 100% it if not for that garbage. I held on to the game for the Bruce Wayne trials and the upcoming Mr. Freeze DLC but I don't care one bit for the tacked on MP.

Yup i had the ce preordered day it went live on amazon. The statue rules but feel swindled on game. I bet these developers just keeps pushing us until we had enough. I do not see enough people stand up to them yet but they got plenty more room to rip us off but hey people uprised for me3 so who knows.

Now if we all getthe warface codes i would be happy right rip? lol

 
I was honestly hoping that Fable 2 Pub Games would go on sale... I want it because I want to do every fable game, but I don't want to pay $10. I don't think it's ever been on sale...

Yeah dude. Id be a happy camper. I'm willing to give people a few arcade games for their code, lol.

I LOVED the Batman AO CE. The game was great too. I had literally no glitches on my first run. On my hard mode tun though, that was the bitch glitchfest. And the Bruce Wayne Initiation was a joke. Still at 1000/1050 -_-

I just can't wait for Rocksteady to annouce their game (which I KNOW they will) soon.

The MP was dead since day one it sucks cause it was fun. I had to wait 45 to 90 mins for a lobby to fill. I did not try sp i was waiting for a corrupt save fix which they failed to fix. My friends kept me updated with them complaining there save corrupted again. I had to boost mp after 2 weeks of dead mp. I still think the statue was worth the price. I customized one for someone and doubled my mula.

 
It's kinda weird paying for 2 DLCs that each are at least double the price of the actual game...definitely grabbing both the Fable 2 DLC though.

Thanks for the info, truly revealing. I expected something like that. I guess it's time to put some delay on buying Telltale games: the 800 MSP/10$ tag doesn't seem too appealing knowing this. That 400MSP sale on TWD1 seems the right price for upcoming series.

 
Loading up xbldb to see the discounts was not a good idea. Now we're all having our "Finkle is Einhorn ... Einhorn is Finkle" moment about this week's sales. I guess it is well themed since I think in the NBA it will be all-star weekend, but it doesn't account for the Valentine's Day this Friday for game sales. (I do enjoy cheering for my NBA team, which is good but unlikely to win it all.) I know the NBA2k4 sale does ostracize everyone else, like me, wanting something else more substantial than discounts on buffs. Then again, I want discounts on outfits in fighting games, so I guess I'll let the NBA2k fans have their moment.

I still have some interest in games coming to the 360. I'm still not ready to move on yet given the initial cost for me to transition to the X1. Titles I found that piqued my interest include Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, Stranger of the Sword District, NUNS Revolution, Child of Light, Stick of Truth, Jump Stars Victory Versus, YAIBA: Ninja Gaiden Z, in addition to the new Strider, and various fighting games coming. I will admit it has been a slow month so far for me, but it gives me time to pretend like I will go through my backlog. Give it time, some decent stuff could be coming.

The day one on-disc DLC keys for Fable Anniversary have been on sale for a while now. This time I want to warn that the Platinum Hits and Game of the Year editions of Fable 2 have the DLC already on disc. I too am waiting on Anniversary to drop in price then start on the series, I have the rest (even the original Xbox's Lost Chapters which is backwards compatible), since people on my friends list on Xbox tell me the series' zenith was the original, and still up there with 2 but took a nosedive by the 3rd, fortunately 3 was our first free Games with Gold.

I will still pay to shorten my gamertag to the key part, and I've purcahsed a couple avatar parts before. Still, the current offering of a tiered pay for amount of stat boost as a sale does feel like Microsoft taunts me. Happy Valentine's Day and NBA All-Star weekend, everyone. EDIT: decided against the rhino scene, and instead I'd rather repeat and remind Microsoft, nothing says you love us more than pizza and arcade games.

Wow, that is pretty much the dev giving gamers the middle finger lol. Thankfully I beat the game in a week and was able to trade it back to GS for more than I paid for it (during the pokeflip era). Definitely not going to purchase future content from these guys, though.
 
I'm like grimly curious about this NBA jewelry DLC now... Does it actually show up in game, like do they wear it out on the court? I can't find any relevant YouTube videos.

As long as jewelry is super shiny and has huge ass logos they might as well use BLING on the court, look on the bright side players can actually blind their opponents outmaneuver them and score a dunk. Brilliant strategy : )

I don't have a problem with the NBA 2k sale (which should surprise nobody if they've read my comments in the past).

I am completely sick and tired of $60 games going on sale for $40 though.  To me that's not a sale, that a "what your price point should have been in the first place, nimrods".  EA does it too, and it ticks me off every single time.  I don't know when or if I've EVER plunked down $60 for a full game, PC or console, and I don't ever intend to.  So that disguised as a 33% discount just sits wrong with me.

But yeah, after the Countdown Sale this happens, a few months of the DotW afterwards seem lame by comparison.  Still excited about Toy Soldiers: Cold War coming up though for GWG...

I've stopped worrying about getting more games, working on STILL trying to get a new HD instead (tight budget until taxes can come back).  Going to be going on a vacation in April to a fancy mountian cabin with a bunch of bigscreen TV's (possibly a projector too) and plan on taking my 360 with me to get some (offline) gaming down there.  I'd like to get the HD and be able to download my games before I go then...  I have GWG games I haven't eve played yet.

 
I see sales this week are kinda weak, nothing sparks my interest.  I'll use that time to stack them MS currency up, and be looking forward to something nice to come by; hopefully soon.

My backlog is getting attention these winter days I have managed to get through about 35% of my backlog, "I feel good, so good..." (just sang that)

..And finally, finally got my hands on Diablo 3.  Loving that game!!!  Console port is fantastic and controls are super firm so much better than mouse and keypad.  Folks if anyone wants to have Co-op Live time hit me up, I'm doing story mode now and wouldn't mind some multiplayer.

Only Square would have the balls to charge for content like that that should be free. They're completely ignoring and spitting on the people who want subtitles again("Last Remnant" on PC the one exception).

EnixSquare should call me when they offer Japanese for FFXIII too.

I Can already assume or figure the character's won't get any more likeable or story any more understandable no matter what voice is coming out.

I tried to get through the original FFXIII again. Made it to disc 3 and couldn't take it anymore. It's like I could manage to play one disc's worth of content every few weeks and then the story/characters made me want to strangle a dolphin. Played the Lightning Returns demo so that I could have the Siegfried garb/costume should I ever want to buy the retail version. I can tell you that just from that brief experience with it, the characters don't seem any less horrible. And it isn't really much of a RPG either. SquareEnix have completely screwed up one of my favorite franchises of all time.

As far as I've seen, all the skins have a formal wear sort of feel to them with card suits displayed as well. And I think the heads you can unlock for most of the characters are basically skulls. I think Zer0 has a cannon ball through his or something like that.

At this point we officially reached the "more DLCs outside of season pass than inside it" phase. What a waste of money that Pass was, in hindsight.

It's still a ridiculous system of callous price-gouging. The Headhunter dlc ought to be offered as a bonus of some sort, at least to those who bought the season pass/GOTY. Something like that might earn Gearbox some favor, which they need after Colonial Marines. It'd help, though Randy Pitchford's laughing all the way to the bank either way.

Now, to continue playing Tiny Tina's Assault. Ahem.
