  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.

fixed. I remember getting about 15 minutes into the game and being at the point of verbally yelling at the screen something to the effect of "I don't care anymore about you or your stupid dwarf story, just let me pass!". Five minutes later it was uninstalled.

 
Thanks to everyone who gave recommendations on Dante's Inferno. I didn't think I would have time to play the demo tonight, but I wound up being more awake after work than I expected. I enjoyed that enough to buy the full game, and I think I'll dedicate Friday to playing through it.

I initially put some thought into adding Soul Calibur II to my haul in this sale, but I don't see it living up to the light nostalgia I have for those days. Fighting games typically aren't my thing, and the 360's controller tends to add to the frustration.

I will still pick up Dust before the week ends, but thanks to Microsoft inexplicably banning my billing address during the $10 promo fiasco, I have to buy Xbox credit through Amazon to make any purchases. I'll wait and see what else strikes my fancy before I settle on how much credit I add.

Hey uh, what's going on with Radiant Silvergun? According to xbldb, it just got bumped back up to $15 today after only one day of being on sale, and it's not on Major Nelson's list of games on sale, either. Considering I just ordered an XBL Gold card in the hopes of buying that later, I'm a bit miffed.

Asura's Wrath was fun to play. It has an anime style to it (if you're into that). It even plays out similar to an anime show with little sections broken down and "previously" and "next time". Although most battles, especially the boss battles, devolve into QTEs, it's a fun experience. The replayability is there if you want to attain the 'S' ranks, complete with different gauges and grab the achievements.

A word of warning though: Although the game has an "ending", the true ending is paid DLC (thanks Capcom!)

Paid DLC that also REQUIRES you to S rank the stages or some stupid $hit like that. Still mad I paid for that as I don't feel like playing the stages over and over to S rank them.

I'm getting super slow downloads and error messages.

A 32GB Flash Drive I bought from Amazon months ago decides to fail and now 27 gb worth of games are gone. I have 6 flash drives loaded with stuff, I hope those at least last until I get a 320 GB HDD.

You get 95% of the "real" ending lol. I couldn't bother trying to 'S' rank everything so I just watched it on Youtube and it barely made a difference.

Had the page up from yesterday showing the $7.49 price, went to buy and it came up $14.99. Canceled the purchase.
 
I'm kinda surprised these daily deals haven't been categorized like the Christmas sale. Each day has just a jumble of mixups. No all fighting, action, racing, etc.
 
I'm loving Runner2, awesome game for completionists who likes a challenge. I bought the game yesterday and I've pushed the A button 14.853 times. Yep... loving it...

 
Is the Dishonored dlc any good? I want the game but if the dlc is worth it I'll just wait till I find a deal on a game of the year physical copy

So tired of seeing the "pointy" hoody bastardizing each era's culture. It only worked in AC1 because of the monks and wasn't "blinged-out" like every later AC iteration.

After looking into it more, Radiant Silvergun seems to be the DOTW on the Japanese store, which leads me to believe that it was lowered on our store purely on accident. That makes me really sad. o(╯□╰)o

MS needs to pull off a great danmaku sale. Have all the bullet hell XBLAs on sale for at least 50% (Radiant Silvergun, Trouble Witches Neo, KoF Sky Stage, Guwange, Ikaruga, etc.), and also everything that's up as GoD (pretty much everything by Cave), along with DLCs for everything. That would be a sale that'd made me go broke, even though I own most of this stuff.

OH! And if you complete all the Animus training sessions (which are fun anyway) with at least a bronze, you unlock the Raiden outfit from Metal Gear Solid which Ezio can wear throughout the entire game.

Thanks for the heads up; I played through the game and only found out about this easter egg thanks to chip cheezum's Peace Walker LP. Maybe I'll get back into it eventually.

 
I instantly grabbed Dante's Inferno and Alan Wake. I don't have a DBZ game, and I am somewhat a fan, but 9.98 is still a bit too much for Ultimate Tenkaichi. 8GB left on the hard drive, so it's probably best I.."Take it easy"

 
Mmm, picked up Alan Wake's American Nightmare (was broke last time it was on sale), Guardians of Middle-Earth (heck a buck huh), Rock Band Blitz (TA gave it an award), Motorcross Madness (I loved PURE and am a big racing fan) as I had pretty much everything else or don't want it. RUSE & Driver SF might be games I'd pick up but I feel since Ubisoft I can find them pretty cheap once I get to playing them.

 
By the way, tomorrow sales are gonna be FIFA related, at least part of them. Yikes...

fuck. I was waiting to see which were the rest of the daily deals before purchasing Radiant Silvergun, since I thought it was Dotw and Major forgot to post it.

Well, Sine Mora is a half-western production. It's good, but nowhere near as great as the Japanese danmaku classics. Fusion: Genesis is not even a danmaku, it's a meh space shooter with floaty controls. Radiant Silvergun and Ikaruga could be worth it, but when that bundle came I already had the other 2 games, so there was no point in picking it up. And besides, it isn't the same thing, since it's "just" 4 games and they're sold together: not really a sale if you have one or more of these titles (like I do). I'm pretty sure most (if not all) GoD games of said genre have never seen a sale (or a good one, at least), and not even most of the XBLA ones get on sale often. I bought KoF Sky Stage, Trouble Witches Neo and Guwange at full price as I gave up on waiting for a sale on those. Likewise, I bought Akai Katana, Deathsmiles, Dodonpachi Resurrection, Dodonpachi Saidaioujou, etc. on disk, partly because there have often been soundtracks and such as extras, but also because, if they're on GoD, their price is high. It's too bad such less-known genres get sales very rarely, I'm sure more people would give these games a shot if they could be bought for 10-15$ instead of starting from 30$ upwards.

It was super cheap during the Countdown to new year's sales. I tried to find the exact price on xbldb, but it's not shown there. Pretty sure it was something like $3 to $5 when I bought it during the last or second to last week of December. Amazing game, btw.

edit: it's been on sale three times, actually. I bought it last one for $5 since the DLC was also on sale at the time.

Yes, I had 4 things queued up last night, left to background download while I slept, and they're still not done. Probably close to 20 GB worth of stuff, but I still expected it to be done when I woke up. Haven't checked the progress, but I can still hear my Xbox in the "background" state. The servers must be getting hit hard with all of the sales :p
