This thread will maintain a list of all current and upcoming sales and markdowns on the Xbox Live Marketplace / Xbox Games Store for the USA.  YMMV in other regions.  If non-US sales are listed, they will be marked with their applicable region(s).

Please note:

  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.  This requires being a paid subscriber or within a console-activated "1 month complimentary Gold trial" account.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.
  • All known sales and information on sales should make their way into the OP. Major Nelson usually updates his blog with new sales information every other Tuesday.
  • ALL OFFERS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE! No information within this thread can or should be construed as accurate (or still valid), therefore ...
  • Always verify Xbox Live Marketplace prices before your purchase!
  • Spend wisely, have fun, and enjoy!

Just wondering did you expect a PvZ shooter game to have a story single player? Lol. What's the story going to be, started from a seed to saving the world from zombies. Anyway there's Garden Ops which you could play solo, which is essecially what PvZ mobile games are about, surviving waves of zombies.

Also these multiplayer only games could easily add some campaign later on. They just want to get online right. Dead Rising 3 could be played co-op but they added DLC which is single player.
I don't care about a "story" with a game like PvZ. I just want a single-player game with good level progression. The original PvZ had that, don't see why it would have been that hard to include it with GW. Making it MP only ruins the game for people who prefer SP experiences, plus it drastically reduces the life of the game.

Plants vs Zombies is pretty much single-player only with a joke story. All they needed was a Horde Mode with special rules on some rounds and a few bosses here and there. It's just EA being lazy again.
There is a Horde mode, it's called Garden Ops. While you may not like multiplayer games, there's many, many people who like MP games so this is a great game and it's really fun to play.

I agree its a disturbing trend. If that day comes, I'll just play my older SP games on consoles and PCs, and skip the multi stuff. Multiplayer games are generally short-lived, dependent on an active community and active servers. When those factors taper off, those games are dead. No thanks.
I'm guessing you also play Left 4 Dead solo because playing with other people just ruins the experience right? If they tacked on a full single player campaign to Titanfall, either 1) it wouldn't be releasing anywhere near March 11th, or 2) it would still come out March 11th and be as rushed and buggy as bf4. Titanfall doesn't need single player and they sure used every extra minute to make it fun as hell.

Also, I spent 8 hours beating the battlefield 3 campaign, and 700 hours playing the multiplayer. Tell me which one was "short-lived"

I don't disagree but there's no denying it'll be dead within a couple months, Titanfall is going to wreck a lot of MP games, then Destiny and COD in a few months.

It's not a whole lot of fun but you can set up a private Garden Ops mode to do it single player. It's such a fun game online, though. Take ME3 and Gears and give it a fun PvZ theme and that's it. Works for me.

I started with Civ on my 80MHz Power Mac in about 1994. That and Pirates Gold gave me so many hours of fun. I played Rev a few years back and enjoyed it ONCE but I'm not sure I have the patience for it again at this point.

Considering how me3 mp was very much alive over a year after launch, I'm not inclined to agree with you. Especially considering how people are relating the gameplay to their favorite shooters rather than this being a gimmicky entry into the genre

No way PVZ will be dead quickly. Even with Titanfall out there isn't any must have MP FPS/TPS till Destiny/holiday season hits. Wolfenstein is single player only, and the last Sniper Elite was pretty meh. So looking at current release schedule your looking at September at best before something besides Titan Fall and PVZ is there to fill that void.

I'm just going through Gamefaqs for reference, but outside of Arcade/Indie titles there isn't much listed.

Almost tempted to get those Kinect games, despite the fact I already own the 2 Kinect Sports games, for the sake of achievements. Still too expensive to buy them all, though.

By the way there was plenty of Black Ops 2 talk in here due to the deals, and interestingly enough on the 4th of March they'll release 4 new skin packs, along with a free one everyone just received if they were using Elite for a long time (it's going to get shut down). That is rather peculiar because no COD ever saw any kind of support (bar a patch here and there) after the next one came out, and while this is only a couple skins, not new maps, weapons, game modes or anything, it's still rather interesting and, probably, points out how Black Ops 2 is set to stay.
BO2 is here to stay for one reason, Sledgehammer.

In case you didn't know, treyarch and infinity ward made the newest CoD on opposing years. This have them each 1.5ish years to produce the next CoD. It was announced that this years CoD will be made by a new developer, Sledgehammerz well semi new as they have helped in previous CoD games, but the first time they will have lead in the game.

This means Treyarch now has 2.5 years without a game so they have some spare time right now. So what's the best way to use their spare time? Of course make a new skin for the gun and sell it for $2.

The one thing I hope this will allow them to do is make a consolation of the Zombies series all in one game. Like they did with BO1. Basically port all maps into BO2 and charge like $20 for it.

And here lies the problem and why I wont be buying an X1 for a long while-all the games in red are also coming to xbox 360.... Yeah they look a little prettier, but seriously they are giving me no reason to upgrade to next (current) gen. Now if Fallout 4 or Elder Scrolls 6 (no interest in ESO) are X1 exclusive, they get all of my money.

It's not going to die, there's plenty of older games that still have a nice community. Halo 3, Gears 1/2, ME3, Battlefield 1943 (XBLA) all have a community still going strong. It might lose some players, but people aren't suddenly going to stop playing the game. Also, if you're so against this game, why are you still arguing about it? Clearly it's something you're not interested in.

That's fine if you like MP games; many people prefer SP games and really couldn't care less.

As for an SP campaign (or lets just say a SP mode, because for games like PvZ you don't need a "campaign") delaying the release of a game, you're quite right. Most of these games being released for the X1 clearly are "unfinished", KI being the biggest offender. That's a sad testament to the state of good SP content, though; KI just had a few characters at launch, and they're gradually releasing more characters over time (and hoping people will pay for them, as well as for extra content). None of that is something to be proud of or excited about. These are throwaway games, which rely 100% on an active community and/or servers; once either of those two factors go away, the games are dead.

Titanfall being the absolute biggest draw for the X1, and being MP only, is a pretty sad thing. But at least it does allow people to just skip it (and the console itself, for that matter) since the developers (and MS) don't seem to care about longevity in their games.

Just as an aside, the 360 is my favorite console of last gen, and one of my favorite consoles ever (though I do love the PS3 and PS4 and have them both). I am not in any way anti-MS, have multiple 360s and hundreds of games for them, but the X1 is off to a truly terrible start.

Of course. People who buy in the first year (including me) know that. Theres not going to be a lot in the way of exclusives when the 360 and PS3 have a larger install base. Things will change in another year or so when companies go PS4/XB1/PC multi plat route. A lot of games were still in developement for the 360/PS3 and even the Wii U over the last year +

Woah didn't know that one statement was going to spark a discussion.

There will always be room for single player games but when it comes to shooting games it's all about the multiplayer experience. If you like single player games then shooters probably aren't the best genre to be looking at for that.

Think about it like this. Don't people complain about developers who have to tack on multiplayer to a good single player campaign? Look at Bioshock 2 or Spec Ops The Line. It's forced and takes away resources from the main focus. I see Titanfall and PvZ Garden Warfare as the opposite of that. Don't tack on a lackluster campaign to a game that's meant for multiplayer. I think Battlefield 3 is a great example for that scenario. I've read reviews that mention the forgettable campaign. Why bother? Most people are buying it to play online anyways.

The bottom line is not every game need multiplayer, not every game need single player. These games just need to be fun and games like Titanfall and PvZ are hella fun period.

These are XB1 relase dates.

3/11 Titanfall

3/18 MGS Ground Zeroes

4/08 Kinect Sports Rivals

Lego Hobbit

4/16 Trials Fusion

4/30 Child of Light

5/20 Wolfenstein The New Order

6/24 Sniper Elite 3

6/24 Transformers

8/26 The Evil Within

9/09 Destiny
In fairness there isn't much else releasing for any other platform either. I'm guessing that come E3 we'll see an onslaught of games announced for every platform, not just Xbox One (and PS4).

[quote name="BettercallPitPat" post="11574012" timestamp="1393784792"]And here lies the problem and why I wont be buying an X1 for a long while-all the games in red are also coming to xbox 360.... Yeah they look a little prettier, but seriously they are giving me no reason to upgrade to next (current) gen. Now if Fallout 4 or Elder Scrolls 6 (no interest in ESO) are X1 exclusive, they get all of my money.[/quote]

Considering the sales figures for PS4 and X1, there won't be anymore third party X1 exclusives that aren't already contracted. Titanfall is being talked about as a mistake already. The X1 was supposed to destroy the PS4. It hasn't been completely the opposite of that, but the PS4 is out to a significant early lead. That actually surprises me a lot.

When was the X1 supposed to destroy the PS4?

You're still talking a relatively low install base for both consoles even if the PS4 sold as much as the Wii's first year this year. Don't doubt the power of Microsoft's bank account either. They have MUCH more cash on hand then Sony, and are willing to throw money around for exclusives if need be.

After the amazing run with the Ultimate Game Sale, it was followed up with this Ultimate DLC sale on "Top Shooters" as my dashboard called it. It is easy to tell most here aren't as interested when there's so much divergence on the primary topic of this thread. Allow me to continue all the digressing trend until I get something I like on discount on the Xbox Marketplace.

Since even the Xbox Rewards has just decided to start off disappointing me for the month by not even having the punchcard offers ready to disappoint me (I cannot remember the last time I was eager to complete something for Xbox Rewards, it's been a while). I really hope it is for DLC this time around (instead of the usual Xbox music/videos, avatar parts, or in-app purchases). Also, I keep trying to take the survey, upon completion, it doesn't seem like the site remembers that and I can continually repeat the survey. Does that happen with anyone else too? (At least Forza rewards work for this month)

March will have a game I did not have on the 360 before with the Games with Gold Dungeon Defenders which I know has been free on other platforms before (and has more additional content on other platforms as well) so this month does provide value to my gold subscription. The first title of this month I have on disc and was one of the secondary reasons I got an Xbox 360 to begin with. Civilization has always been one of my most favorite franchises (ah, ye ol' DOS days), and I am confounded at all the negative reactions from this thread on Civilization Revolution. I have no idea how others can have a short game of Civ, I always seem to need another turn because I know what what to do now in order to crush my enemies. " fuck you, Gandhi," "I'm tired of your $#|+, Caesar," and "Step off, Elizabeth" because there's never a short play of the game for me. That addictive quality puts it over the top in my book. The only thing to make the game even more ideal for me is if they replaced all the world leaders with moe characters. Dabben don flauben. Odapri? Vollum falom.

I do not know what will be on sale for this coming week, so my prediction is that it has been a while since some Microsoft Games Studios offers. I would really appreciate discounts on DLC for Crackdown, Hydro Thunder Hurricane, Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet, etc. which I have rarely seen discounted and willing to part with cash if they were discounted. I mean, our next Deal of the Week can't be that disappointing, can it? We currently have all these Kinect games discounted and avatar parts earlier, so unless they plan on another gamertag change discount, there can't be a bottoming out, right? right?

Some digressions:

Also the new Strider game sucks and probably not even worth $5.
I'm glad you took the time to explain this, because I was shocked given your name. I've been hearing a lot of "Strider is a joy to control, play mechanics refined, great remixed soundtrack, and outstanding graphics, all to form a perfect game, 8 out of 10" reviews on it so I find your take on the newer game interestingly contrary to the expected. Sure it's not as colorful as the previous game which I loved and I do see the newer one is a bit darker, like Batman: The Animated Series in terms of art direction, but I thought part of what makes a strider game is his incredible mobility, such that maybe the environments has to accommodate by being larger. I've been meaning to muster up the energy to play my purchase, and I really do hope my yearly February full-priced gamble is worth what I paid it. Then again, given my name, I can shamefully say I've never played Radical Dreamers and I was only so-so with Cross in its day but looking back, it seems to be better through rose colored glasses. At least our 2014 can still be saved by fighting games with Capcom's Ultra, or the two from Arc Systemworks, or the three Sega fighting games (and I get Marie Rose this month).

You cannot translate it word for word because of crazy German grammar. I was trying to say "You should know we only speak german." Up to German 102, sentence structure is mainly Subject Verb Noun Any other verbs. For example: "I want to play Titanfall" would be "I want Titanfall to play." I hate it and wish secondary language wasn't a requirement.
Well you don't have to tell me cause I AM German lol...but in this case there was no other option...the whole sentence (it wasn't even a sentence and that's the problem) couldn't be translated because it had no meaning from the beginning. And if you're going to translate: "You should know we only speak german." it would have been: Du solltest wissen, wir sprechen nur deutsch. (the only thing that has changed here is only and speak (nur and sprechen) these 2 words switched places, everthing else is in the same spot lol
Forgive me being an uncultured stupid American for all I know of what it is like across the Atlantic pretty much is summed up by the documentary called Eurotrip. What I learned from it, is that by the time something makes it over towards Germany, it all turns into some Eurobeat/Eurodance remix. In my time I learned 4 languages, spending over a decade on each, then many decades past and now here I am having lost 3.5 of them and I'm barely grunting out anything sensible in any language, so keep at it and don't lose the languages you have as I did. Scotty doesn't know.

Dang, I missed the Burnout free cars by a few hours. Should have checked this thread sooner.
I caught this one, but the one that got away from me was a few years ago when all the separate retailer preorder and promotional DLC (like Dr.Pepper carbonated beverage, some convenience store, etc.) for Mass Effect 2 was released accidentally for free on the dashboard. It was my fault for continuing to lay in bed while a friend literally phoned, and I let it ring, when the message was to grab the DLC. I awoke to notice they were all pulled from the marketplace. That I will never let down. I know all the separate retailer (Germany, UK's Play, The Gap, Gamestop, Best Buy, etc.) preorder DLC was released for free one holiday season for both Dragon Age and Dragon Age 2, but no one ever told me if the same was done for Mass Effect. Now I gotta find myself a Burnout Paradise, which I initially shunned because I thought owning the original Xbox Burnout 3: Takedown and 360 Burnout Revenge would be enough, but with no satisfying sequel I'll give Paradise a deeper look (I also have NFS: Hot Pursuit to dig out of my backlog). DJ Atomika always finds me a few new tracks to love.

I remember Nintendo starting that they will never just be a software company so if both of there console and handheld market goes down every series will go down with it, because everyone knows if Nintendo sold games on the cell phone market they would make a ton of money
Yeah, I was going to say on this digression: has no one thought about the possibility that they can just leave and take all their property with them. Similar to my beloved Studio Ghibli which has plans for dissolution (despite their most prolific director retiring and un-retiring about 7 times) walking off into the sunset. It may be possible some are not completely profit motivated, even my favorite comic strip's author chose to turn down fortunes just because of a personal choice associated with his art. So if Nintendo chooses to leave the world of video games without their franchises, it would be a pretty sad day for me, but I'll understand, or do my best to live for another 80+ years after such that it becomes public domain ^^.

Any recommended dlc for oblivion that doesn't come on the GOTY discs? Thx!
Aside from the Horse Armor, all the DLC not on the Game of the Year edition are houses. You gain a home with beneficial items for different disciplines. So if you must get them, choose the ones in disciplines your character uses most (for me that would be all, at a discount). I got them when they were on discount one April Fools day (double price for horse armor, half off everything else). Also, if you are considering the horse armor, know that you would be better off just finishing the Dark Brotherhood questline instead, just saying, you'll thank me later.

I said this last week and I stand by it.
Wait, it is acceptable for quoting oneself? Man, I can like inception post more links! Which of course would:

First CAG post to ever make me lament the lack of a downvote. Well played.
I need to use a prior reply to reply to this with that American version of The Office gif of "NOOOOOO" because I know my post would get so many of those. At least someone will follow this reply with some Xzibit image. Which is why I best stop here. I hope we get some great discounts and word for a great rewards offer to match the good Games with Gold offer this month. Also, even though it is out for PC, I'm with TylerH wondering about the upcoming XBLA release Constant C, which is interesting because it has some interesting elements like the XBLIG Katten Patissier I bought way back.

EDIT: Juice el Savior> you can also scroll past all my prior posts too ^^. My posts are never worth reading, I'm never fast enough to find the deals to mention them, so it is all just stalling tactics from my backlog.

When was the X1 supposed to destroy the PS4?
Exactly. The X1 was always way behind PS4. Even on launch week people were still trying to talk me into a PS4 saying that X1 wouldn't play used/rented games, needed Kinect on at all times, etc. Even with all that, X1 was still selling over 2x faster than 360 did in the first 3 months. Both PS4 and X1 are already big successes in my opinion, and will only get better from here. It would take a big mistake from either side to start failing.

Got a chance to try a 2 player multiplayer game of Civ. The other guy lost within about an hour thirty. I kept going for about another hour after that, then they game ended from reaching turn limit. I would've won without that limit. Very frustrating that after over 2 hours, the game decides to end "early". I wasn't host, so there might be a way to turn it off. I was thinking the turns went 1 person at a time, but it looks like everybody goes at the same time. This way you don't have to sit there doing nothing while the other players take their turn.

Almost had another zombie win in PvZ Garden Warfare. We clutched every garden in overtime, but weren't about to kill the sunflower lighthouse in time. I'm having a hard time picking a class to play. I've been mixing it up between all of them. I expect domination and CTF game types to be added in the future. Maybe a game type where zombies defend.

Rock Band Blitz is surprisingly fun. I thought I would hate it, but picked it up to hear songs and it ended up being really fun.

Spent 20 minutes in Oblivion and it feels much better than Skyrim. I don't know why because Skyrim is pretty much a better version of Oblivion. The terrain looks terrible compared to Skyrim, but it feels better. I have the urge to explore.

I hate being only able to play on weekends. I picked up a ton of games in the last few weeks and I struggle deciding which one to play. They are all really fun.

Count me as one who was disappointed there's no single player campaign for Garden Warfare.  I love the idea of the game but MP-only means I probably won't ever pick it up if/when it comes to PS3 or PS4.

Don't get me wrong, I don't have a problem with games being MP only like Titanfall, I just think Garden Warfare is a missed opportunity for a fun and unique third person shooter campaign.

Soo.. Anyone who's rocking Garden Warfare on 360 want to run some garden ops or multi together?
You can ask that question in the Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare thread lol.

Oh also I think the reason Civ Rev got the call for the free GwG was, because it's old lol, its DLC. The scenarios are fun, paying for more articafts and wonders on the other hand doesn't make any sense imo. I love strategy games, played that game for hours back in the day. It's a great game, esp that they adapted Civilzation games for consoles so you can play for maybe 30 minutes if you know what you're doing.

Where have you heard this? With the amount of cash at Microsoft's disposal (compared to Sony being in the red), they can afford to buy all the exclusives/timed exclusives they want. This gen (last gen?) CoD always sold more on Xbox, not only because there were more Xboxes being sold, but once someone bought MW2, then WaW and realized that DLC came earlier on the 360, it swayed a lot of people's decision towards buying the consoles.

No doubt Playstation has more and (arguably) "better" exclusives but, personally speaking, they don't appeal to me. Most of these exclusives are either Japanese-based, (I'm going to get hate for this) a "rip-off" of a western franchise, or niche games that don't matter to me. Call me a "dudebro" or whatever, but I enjoy playing games like Battlefield or Halo or Gears more than I enjoyed playing Uncharted (played 3 through with a friend), which felt like a prettier looking Tomb Raider with a guy.

Maybe he meant making a Xbox 360 version for Titanfall. That's the only thing that would make sense. I hope they will have servers ready for the amount of people that will be playing. I have a feeling the number of beta players will end up being a small number compared to those that buy the game. Hype was pretty high before beta, but some people still had concerns. Then beta comes along and the hype meter goes through the roof.

Civ Rev lets you partake in building your own history of either conquering everyone's Capitals (Domination Victory), amassing your empire with your strength of culture with built up wonders of the world (Culture Victory), perfecting the art of science and taking to the stars (Technological Victory), or accumulating a certain about of money (Economic Victory) where people would be foolish to try and contend with your expansive luxurious empire.

http://civilization.wikia.com/wiki/Civilization_Revolution

Build troops or settlers initially, branch out and have a few cities with customizing how each city goes about their day in order to access specific boosts like more production, culture, tech or more food. Meet and set up trade/sight alliances with other AI and ultimately either backstab them or defend from them deciding you are the power house they fear. Diplomacy in this version is very limited compared to its PC brethren and I usually won via a Culture Victory.

I'm mainly a RTS guy but Civilization Revolution has that perfect just one more turn formula that you'd expect from a Sid Meier game. It takes a crazy huge and complex PC franchise and streamlines it fairly well for console use and like I said you can play games in short chunks, either saving, or by knowing what you're doing. Multiplayer matches can get a bit lengthy though, make sure you set some time aside as you can't save and load those.

As for crazy GamerScore, I'm at 77959 right now, grrr.  :whistle2:?

Edit: Hmmm, I initially was just going to cancel the download as I still have the disc but this game might be a good one to have on the disc to pick from anytime I like.

That is a good Gamerscore. You are on track for 99,999. I'm weird in that I prefer my Gamerscore to end in 9, so that I know which achievement got me my milestone. FarCry 2 discover all safe houses in southern territory was 100k. FarCry 3 first achievement you unlock was 200k. I am hoping FarCry 4 is out by the time I get to 300k. If not, I might be able to get one in Instinct Predator. Both times, I stopped 1 point before the milestone.

I love Risk... havnt played Risk Factions believe it or not... will i like Civ Rev or should i just leave it in the download queue. ..
I've never played Factions either. I picked up Civ Rev this afternoon and played for a good 2 1/2 hours beating a game. I liked it a lot. It is similar to Risk and I earned about 75 gamerscore in the time I put into it. I've been having a hard time sitting down and putting time in a game recently so two hours is like a marathon for me and it kept my attention til the end.

Knocked DuckTales off the backlog today (woo-ooo!).  Good nostalgia trip, with some challenging spots like the original NES game and the new stuff fitting in well.  Had an Extreme run end yesterday during the final stage of the game, was too disappointed to take another immediate crack at it.  Glad to get through it today.  So I expect a couple good things to go on sale this week so my backlog remains hydra-like, remove one game, get 2 more to replace it.

The devs could've tightened some things up.  I read a patch added the option to skip most cutscenes after beating the game once, though the option only appears in the main menu (not the pause menu) and doesn't appear to persist if you exit the game.  Forgot to set that option a few times when starting a gaming session and had to back out to the main menu to set it.  The patch also fixed a crash when trying to skip the cutscene before one of the end game stages [customspoiler=spoiler](racing Magica and Glomgold)[/customspoiler], but I ran into the same thing on the Moon stage [customspoiler=spoiler](giving Fenton the parts of the Gizmoduck suit)[/customspoiler] on both Hard and Extreme runs.  Shame they couldn't just have the Back button skip cutscenes rather than having to go into the pause menu and choosing to skip it.  Maybe for 3R or R3- Rescue Rangers Remastered.  Would also love to see Capcom / WayForward give Little Nemo : The Dream Master a face lift.

Risk: Factions is a console version of Risk where you can play either the old standard rules of Risk or have the new Factions specific objectives and different factions thrown into the mix. I usually find the original game of Risk tedious after a while, insert Seinfeld's Krammer & Newman playing RISK on the subway scene here, but there's enough variation and extras thrown into Factions to keep things fresh and entertaining.

In Factions there are set objectives each player strives to get. Say the first person to control 2 capitals will get a card, with this card they'll be rewarded with a stat bonus. A player could gain a card for controlling a set territory as well. As you can see there's many options laid out for each player. The first player with three cards and ends their turn wins the game. You can also gain the airport card where you'll be able to add a dice to all adjoining territories around said landmark. You can gain a defensive card where you get your defense stats boosted as well.

Scenarios of the maps change up gameplay and winning conditions. For example, while you'll have one map where everyone tries to mine minerals but can be flooded (reducing their territory's strength down to 1, by accessing the dam, another scenario would focus on controlling of a central point allowing said owner to zap a territory's strength down to 1. That map is always chaotic. Man, I haven't played that game in ages either.

I need to start knocking out backlog titles myself. I'm down to 9 GB free on my hard drive.
I know what you mean, I actually ran out of space on my 250 gb and had to put some stuff on a 16 gb USB stick. Thankfully I'm almost done with Mass Effect 3 so then I can delete those discs and save some space for other things (GwG in the future).

Sorry for the derail y'all. I think I was in that game with you actually. Was this pretty late at night on 360? Did you happen to see a zombie marine biologist (it's the scientist with scuba gear and the dolphin gun) during the match? If so, that was me.

Still deciding whether I should bite on BO2 DLC. I'd Play the crap out of zombies, but my usual group doesn't like playing that anymore and it's only so much fun solo.

You can add me for some zombies action if you want.

Also the DLCs got some brilliant zombie maps, better than in the base game imho. Very different and creative scenarios all around.

Played some more PVZGW and saved my team a couple times in Garden Ops. We had a Super Boss Round with a Gargantuar, Disco Zombie and Yeti and I was the last one left as a Cactus and managed to survive and kill the last zombie right before our Garden was destroyed. Then I played another match and was one on one with a Yeti while everyone was dead and kept running around rocks to block his attacks and dropping mines and walnuts and chipping away at his health until I killed him. I felt like a boss ;)

I'm already at 500 GS on the game. I think getting a single class to level 10 will be the hardest achievement. Just getting some characters to rank 6 takes quite a bit of challenges. I can only imagine how many it'll require to get to 10. You can use skip challenge cards to draw a new replacement challenge if one is too difficult. My buddy used it and got the exact same challenge haha. I think it's random though.

Tip: Certain modes make challenges easier. Anything involving killing the non-player controlled zombies (cone, newspaper, etc.) are easier in Garden Ops rather than waiting on players to spawn them in Gardens & Graveyards.

I haven't had the bad experiences on the zombie side that everyone is mentioning. Winning Gardens and Graveyards with zombies is consistently 50/50 all the times I've played it, not skewed to one side. Some matches are when you get a solid team of plants and sub par zombie players, but as a whole I've had just as many clean sweeps as I have been thwarted on the first garden.

I think his is a different problem and one I also have. If you're physically located in region A but, for whichever reason, your Xbox Live account is associated with region B, you can't purchase or download IP-locked games, even if the game is available in both regions. When you try to, it checks your IP to see if it matches the region you're buying from and, since it won't, you won't be able to proceed.

I'm considering migrating my Xbox Live account (so region A and B are the same) just to be able to get Civilization: Revolution.

I loved playing that game when I was young. My nostalgia for it has been so high that I've considered paying some ridiculous price just to get the cartridge for it. It was always fun getting a new animal, and seeing what it could do. Don't know if I ever beat it, but I would definitely pay for a version of it, even if it was just a straight port with no face lift.

You have to read between the lines a bit (or read the right articles, but you have to filter through some fanboyish stuff to find the ones that give a fairly unbiased view). Direct quotes from the developer (Respawn) and publisher (EA) that future iterations of Titanfall will not be exclusive, and wording such as "It will be good for the X1" are the best indicator that Titanfall's exclusivity to X1 is not being seen as the greatest idea now that sales figures for the systems are not showing the X1 to be the runaway leader.

EA execs in particular were definitely of the opinion that the X1 was going to destroy the PS4, and EA was very obviously in bed with Microsoft as the X1 was announced. I believe that opinion took its first blows during the uproar last year that resulted in firings and re-shufflings at Microsoft, and the sales figures have just added fuel to that fire.

I do agree that Microsoft has some deep pockets, and is not at all afraid of throwing money at a problem. The X1 is not going to fail, but it also isn't going to drive Sony out of the game console business like I am sure some Microsoft execs hoped.

The seeming ridiculousness of this statement makes me want to play this game...

I know what you mean, I actually ran out of space on my 250 gb and had to put some stuff on a 16 gb USB stick. Thankfully I'm almost done with Mass Effect 3 so then I can delete those discs and save some space for other things (GwG in the future).
Ha, I just removed Disc 2 to make room for Civ Rev last night.
