  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.

Good news, I just tried to purchase Tomb Raider on Xbox.com to see if the price was changed. Sure enough not only was it 30, but you can actually use your XBL account balance to pay for games on Xbox.com now. It wasn't like this a week ago. This statement on the OP needs to be changed.

A friend watched me play the old Doom games, I guess if you have the game extended outward that gets you more motion sickness than if you're looking at the game in a small default size. Funny, I get sick flying but I've never gotten sick from playing video games. Body just doesn't like that up and down shit.

Xbox division is hitting home runs right now, I swear they're batting 400.

Yeah, the film grain in ME1 is pretty coarse, like 80 grit coarse. It's a lot less noticeable in ME2 as sometime's I'll actually forget that it's on, especially if I play ME2 immediately after ME1.

 
Almost every 360 game has been making me feel sick lately with Arkham Origins being the latest one. Think I've been playing too much Titanfall.

I looked at a few other games to see if the rumor was true that Tomb Raider, CoD and Thief were only a preview. Looks like no other games are on sale. I was hoping for Lococycle for $5 or Crimson Dragon for $10. Oh well....now to decide if I should spring for Tomb Raider or wait for it to get down to $20.

If you haven't played it already, it's definitely worth $30! The game is fantastic. Not sure its worth $30 for a re-buy, though.

All of them are priced differently, the problem is there's a bunch of conflicting reports online.

If anyone has bought any of the imports within the last year, check your transaction history on the website and report back so we can put it in the OP.

The only one I bought was Band Hero, and it was $5, iirc.

The most "official" results I've found online are that Guitar Hero 5 is $6 to import, Guitar Hero: Smash Hits is $2, and Guitar Hero: World Tour is $3.50. The only one I've found no info on is Guitar Hero: Metallica, other than it being free the first week.

Only game that made me stop playing due to real bad motion sickness has been Duke Nukem 3d. Oh and Venetika with its framerate issues and tearing made me having to close my eyes for a rest till i decided to quit it.

 
What are people's thoughts on Thief for $29.99? Good value or not?  Reviews seem mixed with a Metacritic score of 69.  I've never played any prior Thief games, but I really like stealth-oriented games like Splinter Cell or Dishonored.

 
That version of Trials does include season pass.

World of Tanks is a little more fun than I was expecting. It is very confusing if you don't watch the tutorial videos, so I had a friend let me out.

Worst part of Arkham Origins so far is the sniper section of the boat. If they shoot me once, I die. In my game when I die, I stay dead and have to dashboard. Frustrating and made me rage quit over to Titanfall a few times

Honestly, I only ever had to restart a few times. Mostly on boss battles and a few with the Deadshot mission. Honest F Ups on my part though.

It's actually a pretty simple game once you master the basic buttons (all 3 of them :)). The trick is knowing the other tanks' weak points, which is anything but easy. I just shoot whatever part I see and it has worked out pretty well for me so far (almost 1100 kills). It's when I go up against a higher tier tank or someone who really knows what they're doing that I get my ass handed to me. Pretty fun game.

 
The spotting part of the game confuses me a lot. I'll be shooting at a tank then he disappears even though I'm looking right at him.

Warface Beta has achievements and doesn't appear to be bad for a free game.

Nope. The last beta game that released had achievements as well. Asul of Gods or whatever the hell its called.
 
Versus match of Warface was terrible. When I said not bad, I had only played tutorial. Constantly having errors connecting to server (think it is from hosts quitting). I'll give co-op a shot later.

I think that's just their way of saying that it's not completely done yet and will get updates to add/fix things in the future. Microsoft may not have the best means of really conveying that sort of thing on Xbox 360.

 
So has anyone played the new Yugioh game yet? Either I've gotten bad from not playing Yugioh in a long time or the AI is insanely difficult.
Beating the first duelist (I won't spoil) is not too bad. But the next ones are hard, especially with the beginners deck.

Might wait for a sale on this before I buy.

Well the deck they start you out with is really bad. After you win a match/duel you will get some cards to make your deck better. I do agree though that the AI is ridiculous (for being the first ladder of the first series). I would imagine the more you play it the better cards you will get and the AI won't seem as difficult.

Haven't played the new one, but 5Ds was the same way with difficult AI. Granted, I don't know the first thing about the Yu-Gi-Oh card game.

I could probably explain it to you in newb-friendly terms if you want (I'm not deep enough into the game to know the meta-phrases that only pros know, and use them without realizing it).

I had to fight the second duelist three times before I could beat him and then promptly get my ass kicked by the next duelist. I might buy the game if I get better/used to it. It's the whole reason I didn't delete the trial yet.

 
Just a heads up that the Guitar Hero DLC from Warriors of Rock and avatar items seem to have been pulled already. I just went to download a few songs and they were already gone T_T

What? New Yugioh? I haven't played Yugioh in AGES and I've been kinda wanting to...what platform is this?

There's been vitriolic feedback about it in the PSN thread, suggesting that the reviews weren't embellishing the terribleness of the reboot. That it's already half off a month after launch is a sign of what's going on with that game.

Everything I've read and heard (from journos and my friends and acquaintances IRL) has been either suspiciously neutral (like they are trying to only focus on the positives on the game) or just negative in one way or another. My 2 cents are if you wanna try it out, I think it will get much cheaper than 30 very quickly.

 
Playstation's free games for April have been revealed. I only mention this because there has been crossover between PS and MS before(Sleeping Dogs, Lara Croft GoL, for example). So there is a SLIGHT possibility these could come over to the 360. And please leave the fanboy slandering at home mmmmm'k? ;)
