This thread will maintain a list of all current and upcoming sales and markdowns on the Xbox Live Marketplace / Xbox Games Store for the USA.  YMMV in other regions.  If non-US sales are listed, they will be marked with their applicable region(s).

Please note:

  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.  This requires being a paid subscriber or within a console-activated "1 month complimentary Gold trial" account.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.
  • All known sales and information on sales should make their way into the OP. Major Nelson usually updates his blog with new sales information every other Tuesday.
  • ALL OFFERS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE! No information within this thread can or should be construed as accurate (or still valid), therefore ...
  • Always verify Xbox Live Marketplace prices before your purchase!
  • Spend wisely, have fun, and enjoy!

XBLDB is one of the few sites I whitelist in Adblock, and there's an ad for "20000+ Asian Women Seeking Love", so I've at least found something to spend money on this evening.

I hate to ask this - I did read most of the first several pages - but I'm still confused:

I have none of the Pinball stuff.  Someone said the main game was free (?) and then you buy tables.

If I only wanted the Plants vs Zombies table, I would get the free base game and then buy PvZ and be good to go, right?

If so, does anyone have a link for the free game I need to download?  I searched on XBOX and it's rather confusing with trials and fulls.  I'd probably get the Marvel and Star Wars tables too.

Thanks for any help!

Well I look forward to another exciting week of non-deal talk on this forum as other than NFS I doubt anyone will be parting with any spacebucks this week.
Don't know, man. This place is already getting pretty weird, and it isn't even Tuesday. Anyone else talks about jizzing on themselves, and I'm out.

So I know it's late, but how much of the arkham city dlc is worth it? I've seen people say harley's revenge isn't worth it and I really don't care about skins. Basically, should I get the on demand game for 5 dollars and be done, or should I get the game of the year edition? Thanks.

Also, does the dlc have many achievements?
Did you play Arkham Asylum? If so, did you play the challenge maps? Most of the DLCs are that, just with different characters. Catwoman has her own challenge maps, and then so do Robin and Knightwing. So if you liked playing those mildly redundant maps in Arkham Asylum, you'll really like it in Arkham City, as they not only want you to play the maps through a few times, but want you to do them another set of times in what they call Campaign Challenges. Don't worry about the name, though! There is nothing campaign-like within them. It's just another set of challenges that you'll trudge through.

The only real value to the DLC is Harley Quinn's Revenge, but even then you'll play through it and wonder why you did, as it adds nothing and is very poorly written. It's also written by different writers, so the tone is noticeably changed.

So no, none of the DLC is worth it. But if you like the idea of playing as a different fighter in levels and the brief Campaign Harley Quinn's Revenge offer, it might not be the worst DLC to buy either, especially on sale. Just know that you can't do nearly as much with Catwoman, Robin or Knightwing that you can as Batman.

The main game is nothing but a HUB for all the tables and it's free that's right, and yes you did nderstand the concept right, so if you buy the PvZ Table it would be the only FULL table in your Game...

The Game itself should be found on the xbox itself easily but here is a link to all the pinball fx 2 stuff you find the main "game" on the left side "Buy Game" Free (you might have trouble "buying" things from the site if you don't have Paypal or a CC attached to your account so I would recommend searching again on your Xbox for the Free Full Version of Pinball FX2 it shouldn't be that hard to find...anyway here is the link:

But what would you do with 20.000+ Asian Women? Even if you pay $1 per Woman that's quite expensive..plus you would have to keep them alive...

It's days like this that make the ignore function handy.

These last two weeks have been great for that cross section of folks who love basketball and Borderlands but never wanted to pay sale prices for them before now. In fact, I really hope some guy who has been dying to slay loot midgets and shoot digital hoops stumbles across both sales tonight. Someone deserves to be happy.

As for me, I'll be staring blankly at my backlog, thinking I should play something... And ultimately end up watching more of The Shield's final season.

So I ended up getting:

SoD: Breakdown

Lonesome Road

Old World Blues

Balance of the Force Tables

PvZ Table

Epic Quest Table

Mars Table

Core Tables

Ms. Splosion Man Table

Rock and Bullwinkle Table

Marvel: Vengeance and Virtue Tables

Street Fighter 2 Table

Just download the main client thing thing (the main trial). Then you're good to go once you buy the tables you want.

Remember guys, for the Fallout games you can get the vanilla version and "rent" the GOTY version from Gamestop, install the DLC, and return the GOTY version.

Come on man, that's a little extreme, don't you think?

All hope is lost. Guess i'm going to get Pacman. Anyone knows if the DLC is worth it ?
Well get the pack with all the stuff if anything since it saves you like $2 at current prices. It's Dig Dug and race car skins, a couple audio tracks and a few more boards. Basically looks like more of the same.

I guess M$ still hasn't gotten their fuck together on xbox.com... I purchased the Pac-Man CE DX DLC bundle and used my PayPal instead of some of the $100 credit I have sitting on my account still. Is that really not an option still?

Thank you! This is what I wanted to know. I hardly touched the challenge maps on asylum. So now I know I can skip the dlc. I really like the campaign stuff but I really don't care about challenge maps.

Harley's Revenge isn't worth it, but GOTY has the campaign sections where you play as Catwoman. Honestly you're not missing all that much if you stick with the base game.

Damn... I'm torn... do I buy arkham city or not? I'm not gonna play it anytime soon... my gold is gonna go out possibly before the next sale. I've 11.83 in credit...

Opinions please

All day I've been trying to talk myself into buying the Pac-Man DLC bundle and the Pinball FX2 classic pack of PS3 tables, but that Pac-Man stuff seems cosmetic and my pinball $ is probably better put to use buying Zen's new Star Wars tables next week.

edit: Ugh. Seeing this week's craptacular deals is pushing me towards a last minute (and probably stupid) impulse buy. Somebody talk me down.

Since the deals suck, I'm just going to say...wow on that Adventure Time season premiere. That was, darker than I imagined although it was foreshadowed numerous times so I wasn't too surprised.

My Saints 4 season pass actually worked, so that's two free season passes Ive gotten from screw-ups. Very fortunate....
Thanks. I was wondering about this, but was worried about downloading the stuff that comes with the season pass.

Another week of this NBA jewelry crap. It's been on sale every two months. Seriously who is in charge of these sales. At last PSN had that $0.99 sale so I got something.

Anyone else having problems redeeming Xbox Gift Card codes on Xbox.com?

I have a $5 code that I keep trying to redeem and it gives me an error even though it doesn't say it's used (it pulls up the Confirm screen for adding it to my balance). If someone has a $5 code handy, you can try out mine to see if it works on your account, and if it works, give me yours? If it doesn't work, then we at least know it isn't specific to my account.

I agree. Plus you'll be saving room on your hard drive.
And by the time I wanna play it I'll have held out for a copy cheaper than that. Thanks... I just needed someone to say that so I'd believe it. Damn I am loving arkham asylum though...

Honestly I'm just worried of screwing up like I did with bioshock 2. Never played one until I got them both on sale for 400 MSP. I played straight through 1 in record time and became immersed in Rapture. Then when I started 2 I was all Raptured out. I never got past the first big sister encounter because after that lackluster encounter I thought I was Bill Murray in Groundhog Day.

Basically that's what I'm worried about.

Yes, I've been unable to redeem both Microsoft Point and Gift Card codes. The confirmation screen identifies them as valid, but I get an error when redeeming. I filed a support ticket last week and I'm awaiting a reply.

Where's your code from? I redeemed a $15 code from retail, and 3 $5 codes from online. It's the 4th $5 code that's giving me trouble.

Has Silent Hill HD ever went on sale? babygump would have to clean off his belly with all the goo he would shoot. babygump would also like a Mega Man deal.
As someone else said the PS3 version was actually patched to make it a decent game but Konami wouldn't pay the MS ransom for updates so the 360 version was untouched. They even did a recall on it for those who bought it new.

If you don't have a PS3 then either don't touch it or wait until it's sub $10 sometime.

I actually like the PS3 Zen Pinball tables that were recently converted to Pinball FX2. Tesla is actually one of my favorite tables between both versions because of just how charming the aesthetics and music are. You also occasionally hear little sound bites of Nikola Tesla as you shoot the pinball around the table. El Dorado is a fun one too, reminds me a bit of Sony's Uncharted series - which I am glad it is not, otherwise there is no way in hell it would have come over to Pinball FX2 since that IP is owned by Sony / Naughty Dog.

The Tesla Pinball Table gains even greater perspective if you know anything about the history of one of mankind's greatest scientists:

How do I use Spoiler tags?  I think that Drunk History Vol. 6 video is awesome, but I understand that some CAG's may have slower connections or using mobile where they don't want to read posts with embedded video.  Thank you.  :)

I just cannot decide whether to buy some of these pinball tables or wait for a sale on the PS4 tables.  Obviously only want to be buying tables on one platform.  Unsurprisingly they don't look that much different side by side.  The more I read though the more I think I'm leaning towards 360 despite already having three of the Star Wars tables from PS+.  The 360 has more tables than the PS3 (PS4 has like half as many as 360), the cross buy's a mess and doesn't extend to the PS4, and I think the bumpers feel a bit better for pinball on the 360 controller.

Before I buy a bunch of tables am I overlooking anything?

  • amazon GC

I'm talking to a support guy right now, He says my code is valid but deactivated. May be the same case with you.

3 of the 4 codes I bought from CrazyGameTime worked. It's just one that is busted.

You should contact Microsoft support via chat like I am. Chances are they'll tell you what's up, then "escalate it" to an advocacy team which'll take 3 - 5 days to get back to you because only the advocacy team can do jack shit about anything. :p

This is the best sale I have ever seen on Pinball FX2 content. The first time I have seen all the individual tables go on sale. All the prices are outstanding. I went ahead and bought every single table I was missing (Star Wars: Balance of the Force, PS3 Pinball FX2 Pack, Doctor Strange, Civil War, Nightmare Mansion, Street Fighter 2, Earth Defense, etc.).

You also get some Avatar Awards for your cumulative scores across all Pinball Tables in Pinball FX2. I am still working on getting the 100,000 Wizard Score one. :D

If I buy the ACIV Freedom Cry DLC will I be able to play it on my Xbox One? I noticed it's 9.99 on the xbox one marketplace instead of the sale price on the 360 marketplace.
