  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.

I'm not talking about the style preferences, I mean the literal original master animation to the show is damaged after not being taken care of. I Forgot the source, but I think it was at a San Diego Comic Con panel where they discussed that an HD remaster of Batman: The Animated Series isn't possibly because of how damaged the original animation footage is.

Wouldn't be the first show to have that happen through lack of care or act of Cthulhu. Without the originals there likely isn't a practical way to create a quality HD version.

I wish. Guardians is still laggy as shit on consoles. It takes more than a minute to find a proper match and you'd be lucky to be able to finish said match without being disconnected. All they've done is release DLC for it.

Wouldn't WB and/or CN have duplicates or somewhat originals since they were the original TV broadcasting stations?

Warner might but they might also have been the custodians in the first place. I don't know what technology they would have had available for use at point but I would have to imagine that anything but the very original is likely going to be insufficient in quality for a good BR. Only the people making those decisions know for sure though.

Those are the broadcasting versions, which are easier to replicate, the original unedited animatics are what's needed to do things like enhance color and such for an HD upgrading. That's the key component and when it's FUBAR'd than really there's not much that can be done.

Yeah. I get that. Its just disheartening that my favorite cartoon from childhood will "never" be BluRayed. I missed out on the big CE boxset will the entire show and now that everything I get is bluray, I want it to happen so bad.

And I didn't necessarily mean WB would have the ACTUAL original, just maybe one of those duplicates. Like in that Making of South Park "6 Days to Air". One of those hi-def VHS looking things, lol.

Oh well. Here's hoping, and praying, they'll announce something this year.

The error here is that either you didn't change your payment method on the 360 just prior to purchase ... or that you forgot account credit still requires you spend it from the console. What was fuck 'Ed was for the first few weeks after the points->currency switchover, account credit purchases still did a credit card authorization for clearance before XBLM billed the actual funding source. At least THAT is fixed! :lol:

It's not BS, my friend ... if you bought the tables prior to FX2's release, then FX2 enables a free download of the corresponding tables upgraded with new graphics/physics, but you still only "own" 1 version of the tables. For the uninitiated, this is because FX2 became a free launcher for trial tables, and FX was delisted on day that FX2 released. Consequently, those of us who originally bought them now have to have those original tables downloaded from the Purchase History (from way back in 2010) if the FX2 tables ever get deleted ... a process I just had to re-do when I switched consoles (to restore the offline Drm license). But thanks to the app downloading the tables (and not the personal account), we OCD completionists will forever see the 5 tables yet to be purchased in XBLM, but they do show as present & unlocked in the app. :p

Damn the cut scenes in dead light are fugly. Usually the art for those is one of my favorite part of games, but this art looks pretty ugly with no animation. Almost as bad as dead space ignition. My design nerd combined with game nerd is bothered by this.

I used to be a bit paranoid about off-topic banter getting smacked down in here by mods, but enough people didn't mind, and nothing happened about it so I figured the mods were just letting us do our own thing. Is that no longer the case?

Wait, Skullgirls Encore is out? Since when? I just bought the Steam/PC version for $2.82 to get Big Band for free,

Maybe they released now on purpose because Big Band just came out (for PC as well).

Also, they lied about making the colour palettes free. And they did the annoying thing and didn't include them in a bundle like they do on PC. Ugh. There's 8 of them and they're each $1 vs. all of them together for $5 on PC.

Get the free characters while you can guys, they'll most likely end up costing $5 each afterwards. You don't even need to own the game to get them, so there's no point in not getting them now.

And for those of you with limited HDD space, they're only 108 KB each. :p

Its not nearly as bad as this thread. I just think the mods don't really care anymore. This thread is always on topic in my opinion. You guys always talk about the sales and if the games or content on sale is worth buying.

Terraria recently got a massive update that apparently deletes all your characters/worlds. I'd have been upset if I'd made much progress. There's some great changes in the patch, like no longer needing to jump over one-block inclines.

Yea that update was really good all the extra enemies and bosses and the little touch ups here and there

 
I downloaded Squiggly and Big Band, and my game, after a 7mb update, doesn't recognize the new characters. Maybe I should delete it and download the whole game again?

They appear in your character selection screen, guys?

Whoa dude, what a dilemma. Either keep playing like before, or update and lose all progress. At least you get something in return, something good, so it's up to you if you're ready to start again or not.

Can't you upload the character to the cloud, update the game and download your character to your hdd again? I guess that doesn't work either, but it's worth a try.

Crap, Xbox is scary. I think I liked it better when Microsoft charged for patches and publishers had to take the time to make sure everything worked. I'm going to see if the PS3 version of Terraria has this bug.

Who would have thought we were going to miss paid patches. These save-losses and stuff are becoming much more frequent, with the developers clearly making many more patches with less work into them, rather than splitting everything into large patches that add and fix a lot of issues. This thing did already happen in the past (Fez anyone?), but it's like the 3rd time or so I hear about such an issue in the past 2 weeks or so. Hooray for lazy patches, at this point we probably need to abort each patch that comes out, make a backup of our saves, and then patch, pretty much every game. Damn.

 
The content in this thread is fine. I feel comfortable in this thread. I can keep up with this thread.

The PSN thread is this thread on crack x10. Every time I look there's 10 new pages of posts. It's intimidating. I just bought a Vita yesterday, and I'm hesitant to even ask the questions I have there. It seems like a closed off community to me. No offense to them, that's just how it appears to me.

The update changed a ton of stuff. They might have intended for you to start fresh. On their forums people have been saying older worlds aren't working anymore or are glitchy. You'd have to make a new world anyways to get access to new content. Unless something has changed, Minecraft works in a similar way. Although with MC you can still play older world, just not with new content.

I laugh whenever people say MS doesn't know what they are doing. They just keep breaking to consumer outcry. Consumers that don't know what they are talking about.

Haha you're description about the PSN thread is pretty accurate. But honestly just don't ask questions that can be easily answered by Google and don't bitch about trivial things and you'll fit in fine. I'll answer any questions I can about Vita if you post over there.

EDIT: Oh and for the love of Christ please understand the concept of sarcasm if you want to post in that thread. This is basically true for any forum on the internet but it's especially true in the PSN thread.

Feel free to ask any question you've got, as long as it's not easily answered in the OP and you're not a jerk about it. Tyler can back me up on the fact that I answer most of the questions I see to the best that I can. There's no need to be afraid of the trolls, as they can be easily ignored.

Haha, I bought the whole Hitman saga (bar the first one since it's not on X360) with the sales around Absolution. I still did not touch a single game as I'm still playing other things. Almost forgot about Hitman already, too. Goddammit backlog.
