  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.

That they added the extra cars since the pack was announced (and that I basically got the credit I'm using on it for free) really helps since that's basically $30 extra savings if you picked those up too further down the road.

Haven't checked out FCC yet but FC wasa great game and for under $4 I picked it up. Blood Dragon is only a couple hours and sort of a neon 80's hair metal parody of Far Cry but quite good.

I Played Far Cry on PC when it first came out 10 years or so ago and loved it. I was pretty unimpressed playing through this XBLA Classic version, don't really know why. Maybe the gameplay just hasn't aged well also what I remember being top of the line graphics 10 yeas ago now are pretty average these days. Not a bad game by any means just an average one. Blood Dragon is worth picking up though. I played through it a few months ago and it was pretty good.

Classic is your same old Far Cry. If you are a fan of the series and would like to replay the 1st game with improved graphics and voice acting than yes for the price right now it is a good deal.

Personally I don't need another nostalgia trip, and Blood Dragon is the only Far Cry in the series that has replay value for me.

Dashboard. Even when I was searching through Bing, it gave me two search results and would only let me rate the game. I made it to 60 percent downloaded and it gave the "can't download dark souls" prompt. Maybe it is fixed today.

Ironically I had problems loading the Playstation Network store as well.

Ah. Truthfully, I didn't read it since I'm not interested. Thought it would be relevant in here given that it was on sale. That is definitely weird that it would include so little of the DLC.

Far Cry Instincts: Predator is almost an entirely different game. It was essentially a remake geared towards consoles. As far as I recall the original Far Cry had no feral abilities and was much more open world. So they are actually very different games.

As others have said, there is a huge difference. The lack of multiplayer or map editor is disappointing, but for $3 you can't go wrong.

FCIP definitely wins for replay value for me. I spent hundreds of hours playing custom maps. I'd still play it if more friends played.

 
I was originally gonna jump on the last YDKJ pack sale, so I popped in the game(cause it'd been sitting in my backlog for over a year) and man..........I remember this game being a hoot when I was in college, but it just lost it's edge or something. All the jokes came off flat and it was just a mediocre trivia game. More annoying because of all the banter and taking forever to get from one question to the next. Even playing with my wife didn't make it better. Glad I played the game before I bought those 3 or 4 DLC packs

 
Does anyone know of any qualifying apps for the xbox rewards punchcard?

I tried disney and the Kinect improvement app and neither are showing on my punchcard after five hours of use.

I downloaded and spent more than 5 hours in the NHL Center and Red Bull TV app on the 1st and the 2nd. They FINALLY showed up as punch outs on the reward site today. Give it a few days for those punches to appear.

Along with what Dustinator said, I used the Gamespot App for 5 hours two days ago and it hasn't shown up on my account yet. I've just started using the Machinima App and will report if that works for the 5 hours, or if the Gamespot App eventually updates for a punchcard.

All of them should work.

 
Has anyone else found PlayTo to not work on 360 after the update earlier this week?

It now just sticks on "connecting to network device" on my computer and never actually connects.

Yeah that makes it a great deal, i wish i had known about the BB DoTD when i bought, but no biggie since i had $25.15 in my account already, so it only cost me $8.34 out of pocket which was acceptable.

 
I've been stacking currency for some good DLC, hopefully Ultimate Summer sale will have nice dlc and nice deals.  As far as GoD and arcade sale, I'm pretty skeptical. If cheap games have tendency of turning up on GwG I won't rush buying $2.50-5.00 games.

Lol yeah I had $3 credit from Bing, the $25 card and the $5 email code so my credit card statement just from the Xbox Store said 49 cents. Ahaha wow.
 
I am still torn about grabbing Saints 4....the price seems good, but with my backlog it seems like I'd find it cheaper if I waited. First World dilemmas

Eh, the storyline and characters, everything felt totally underwritten (plus Chloe is there for less than a third of the game! A TRAVESTY!). For a game hyped about Drake's past or whatever it felt like it really answered nothing and instead left more questions. In the very least we should've gotten get a scene where Sully teaches a young 13 year old Drake to be a master of snapping necks. Plus lack of puzzles and shooting never really felt quite right. Kinda felt this is one of those games that you could tell everyone was more focused on Last of Us as opposed to this and would've rather they had just not released this.

I finished Saints Row 3 outside of the side missions like assassinations and delivering cars and what not, and I can tell you from personal experience I am enjoying Saints Row 4 more.

*HOWEVER* Saints Row 4 has infamous like super powers, crackdown like extreme jumping and orb collecting, and your character moves like flash in terms of speed. So cars and a lot of weapons end up being useless since you can run and grab killing most people to start, and eventually your powers end up being.... overpowered. It is by far too easy for the most part. But yes, It's like the Saints had a wild orgy with Cole and some hot Crackdown agents.

But when it comes to the fun factor? Definitely worth it if your going to go right to it. Might want to pass if you have rather large backlog though, all considering I'd imagine the game will go free down the line or maybe even a few dollars cheaper. Hell It was $10 at newegg very briefly.

Fun factor: SR2=SR4>SR3>SR1 for me. Story wise SR2 and SR1 are still the best to me but that is of course my opinion.

It was $8 at BB a few months back. I'm sure it'll hit that price again or $10 mark or whatever. Otherwise it does feel like one big expansion from SR3 so you're not missing too much.

 
I'm trying to like Far Cry Classic but I just can't. It feels so dated and I have no nostalgia for it. I feel I can have more fun replaying FC3 or Blood Dragon, so I'm gonna pass. Let's see what next week brings to sales.

Those controls may seem clunky at first. Dark Souls is definitely a love/hate game, but one thing that's universally agreed upon is that the combat/controls are pretty close to perfect.

 
I just got $60 in credit for $35 cash but now you guys are talking me out of SR4.  I do not need another game right now.  I guess I will wait. For what I do not know.

Edit: FYI. The Epilogue for Prince of Persia was crap.  Personal opinion is not to buy if it is ever on sale again.

I thought the opposite was universally agreed upon. Combat feels like a broken mess.

 
I was going to pick up SR4, but only have 9.xx in my MS account and for the life of me I can't find any way to split the payment.  :/

 
I'm just gonna say I'm glad Dark Souls was free because I would have never known I'd I liked it or not. It's a 7 on my enjoyment meter atm.
 
Finally got around to logging onto my 360, and Invincible Tiger isn't on sale anymore. Not a huge loss I guess, but I was going to get it since it was so cheap.
