I'm not sure if joining a co-op game would help but I'd be willing to try if you want. I just have one achievement left in the game for doing all the stunt jumps. I need someone with a fully leveled up agent to throw me through them.

Crackdown 2 really improved upon the original. The wingsuits were fun to use. I should get back to that DLC too. Hopefully the new one has some other cool gadgets.

Dreamfall Chapters: The Longest Journey is the sequel you're referring to. It's being developed by a different, indie studio which the lead writer and director of the first two games is the head of(Red Thread Games). They had a Kickstarter back in March 2013 which surpassed it's goal of $850k. It raised a whopping $1.5 million with the help of some additional funding by some institute. The game is coming to Mac, Windows PC & Linux with PS4, X1 and SteamOS still being considered. Interestingly enough, Nintendo came to Red Thread Games in the pre-production stages to give them a dev kit(Nintendo's intital push to court indies by giving them free dev kits) and the final game will be coming to Wii U consoles. It's still targeted for a November 2014 release, but I swear I also haven't heard any updates about this game since last year.

Glad they went with the full game route instead of the original, episodic plan they had. I'll get it for Wii U when it finally comes out. There's an option in the main menu before you jump back into your game to "turn back on" all the gangs and their bosses. It's like a New Game+.

You can use the ramp trucks (some are parked in certain places on the map. Other times they are driving around) to make it through the harder rings. Just drive them into position and use a better car to jump from them. It's cumbersome, but not too bad.

god I'll never find the last few orbs I'm missing, I swear I've looked everywhere for them and never could. I was so happy how they made it easier to find orbs in Crackdown 2.

HAhaha, I felt the same way when I was playing it. I stepped away from the game for a while and then came back later finding my last orb about 10 feet off the ground! Here I was jumping off of skyscrapers super high but yeah immense joy and exhilaration finding that last orb. I'm not finding all those orbs for Crackdown 2, screw that. Hopefully they're placed more strategic in Crackdown 3.

I say wear head phones if you're trying to find orbs, their audio cues are extremely helpful.

Oh right, yeah you can turn on gangs from the main menu.

Crackdown 2 was at least arguably the worst follow up to a pretty good game during that console's lifespan. What a total bummer that game was.

Yeah the original developer is back so I have no doubt the new Crackdown will deliver. Crackdown 2 was developed when the original developer was making the MMO APB, both games got Luke warm reception.
 
So Im hearing this upcoming transformers game really sucks. $60...no. $20 or less...go for it.

and on topic of crackdown...Yes I agree...Crackdown had me hooked...Crackdown 2 had me go bleh after few hours.

I'm not a man. But now that you remind me (it's been a few years since I played Crackdown 2), I guess it didn't have too many improvements. It was more of a tweaked experience. The orbs were easier to find. The 4-player co-op was extremely fun. And I really loved the wingsuit. Otherwise I can agree it was a lot of the same. If anyone was expecting tons of innovation they would be extremely disappointed. I just remember it being quite fun and an easy original 1000 GS. I haven't played much of the DLC.

I can't wait for Valiant Hearts to come out this week. That E3 trailer got me. Granted I get emotional easily when it comes to movies and games, but I really like what UbiArt is doing.
 
I think 2 improved from the first game, but not enough. It felt like Crackdown 1.5

Better, but not enough to be called a sequel. If playing with friends, you'd be better off just getting 2 and ignoring one.
 
Don't forget that the demo of Crackdown 2 is actually the early portion of the game, and you can carry that save progress into the actual game. 

I wish more games did something like that where your progress or leveling could be saved and imported into the final game, both singleplayer and multiplayer demos.

 
I just tried getting back into Crackdown after all the talk.  Lost my saved guy, so that sucks.  Then I tried to play co-op and when I finally got someone, he dropped out after a few minutes.  

Anyone up for some co-op later?

Mmmm, agreed. Dead Rising 2: Case Zero did that and I felt they gave more than enough incentive on that one. Def think that needed to continue but now demos are a rarity.

IamnotBatman, you could basically be Robocop, Crackdown is pretty much the unofficial Robocop game we've always wanted. Shoot bad guys and level up, then drive through the city and take on more baddies. Dead or alive you're coming with me. :p

That encouraged me buy that arcade title, even though I didn't buy Dead Rising 2. The potential of it, as well as being a more miniature Dead Rising really interested me. It's the value of it that makes it neat, like a thank you for playing or sampling the game, and so you didn't 'waste your time' (I know that's the wrong expression to use, but it just seems like the most understandable one). Maybe instead of waste your time I should say it saves you time. That's much better.

I remember being disappointed when the Battlefield Bad Company 2 Beta was available to play, yet you couldn't carry your stats forward. Yet your collection of Dog Tags from knife kills did carry forward, so they were tracking data for it, just not rank or stats. I liked that Gears of War Judgment imported the OverRun demo data, unlike the Gears of War 3 Beta data.

I was really, really disappointed when the Halo: Reach Beta data couldn't be used in the final game, as I had made a few neat [videos] from matches I both lost and won, and one in particular took me hours of timing every pan, tilt and zoom just right.

Can anyone speak to the quality of Deadfall Adventures?  Skimmed a few pages back and didn't see anyone mention it (on my tablet so may have missed it though).  Considering grabbing that for my 360 or Outlast for my X1, but not sure if I should just say fuck it and buy neither if Deadfall isn't good and Outlast seems like a candidate to be on sale within the next few months

Seriously though, everyone needs to stop flipping pages. It's really simple, as long as you're using the mobile or desktop site, just scroll to the top of the page and the searchbox actually says it's searching "This Thread" (whichever one you're currently reading), type "deadfall" and you'll see two or three CAGs already left impressions.

Anyone think RYSE will be a deals with Gold this week? Seems like it was advertised earlier. I have a bunch of XBL credit but if it's gonna be $39.99 I'd rather just get it on game fly
 
I saw Happy Wars is coming to X1 and will feature cross-platform play on 360. It's cool news, but I haven't played that game in a looooong time.

That's great news for people who play it on either system, as that should keep the population numbers high for everyone.

If you haven't played in a while they've updated it with new features, like upgrades for weapons, new types of weapons, and even some newer gametypes occasionally.

I have to install the game and buy the Launch Pack from there, right? Do you know how intensive the game is? I only have a PC with integrated graphics.

I am really getting into pinball from these games. I just picked up the Gottlieb and Williams collections on Wii for $5 and $3 respectively this weekend. On other platforms, the season passes are $30!

 
More than likely it'll be Ryse for $39.99 and the Season Pass for $19.99

I'll probably end up biting, I traded my physical copy in during the target triple TIV and am sitting on a lot of credit.

I expect we'll see TITANFALL before long as it'll be a good way for them to sign people up for Gold memberships. I'd pay $40 and trade my physical copy for sure.

Why would you pay $40 for a copy you're stuck with forever when the game's nearly a year old?

 
I get the feeling one of the free games for next month will be one of the Mass Effect titles. If so, I hope it's 2 since I already own the first.

As for this week's sales, give me classic Call of Duty games, Duke Nukem 3-D, or perhaps Shank.

 
Has anyone ever used two different sets of turtle beach x42s in the same house?

I found a pair for $60 at WalMart that I might get so I have one for my xbone and one for my PC but I was wondering if using two different sets in the same area would cause issues.

Anyone have experience with this situation?
