  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.

For the people talking about expiring points. The emails say "promotional points" that sounds to me like bonus/promos you got for free are expiring. That stuff usually expires relatively quickly. Could be wrong though.
 
I liked Anarchy Reigns quite a lot, and I'm seriously thinking about going digital with it for 5 bucks. It's 7.6gb though, that hurts.

 
Roman Reigns > Anarchy Reigns. Saw a review that says it's more multiplayer with a crappy camera and lame campaign mode. Think I'll pass.

Funny. I was going to start playing Alpha Protocol on disc.

Not familiar with the Viking game so I may check out a demo if it exists.

Yeah that's what I'm wondering, this seems to be quite a big sale going on. Obviously there's a Sega Publisher sale but a lot of these other games going on sale are quite random.

Supposedly, the whole reason why it's taken so long for the 360 to get updates is because their patch size was over 4gb and Microsoft doesn't allow sizes that big.

Which they knew. They knowingly "submitted" the patch to MS knowing that it wouldn't be approved instead of updating the game in small increments.

I seriously doubt 360 is getting the patches, I bet they just made the dlc work with the original version

Comparing those two specifically really comes down to which character set you like most. Marvel fleshes out the ideas started in lego Batman 2 (hub world with actual stuff to do instead of just going from one level to the next, unlockable characters in the hub world that need you to do more than just pay studs, one long cohesive original story, etc) but they're both very similar. LB2 focuses on Batman, Robin, Superman, Joker and Lex Luthor with the rest of the DC cast, mainly batman villians and Justice league heroes, thrown in very hodge-podge and "also ran". Lego Marvel you start off with Hulk, Iron Man and Spider man, Captain America and Mr. Fantastic against Abomination, Sandman and Doc Ock and that's just the first two levels. The cast just grows by leaps and bounds and from what I've played so far, actually incorporates a LOT more characters into its story, if that's your thing.

No, the Harry Potter games do not have voice acting. I enjoyed 1-4 much more than 5-7 for some reason, though both games are fairly similar. Too bad 1-4 isn't on sale.

 
Also, for those interested, amazon has the lego movie videogame for $40, shipped free for a physical copy.

Also didn't see anyone post that sonic 2 is 2.49 and VF5FS is 3.74.

Can anyone comment on or recommend Mickey Mouse's Castle of Illusion at that price (7.49)?  Last time it was on sale I had enough funds to either get MM or Ducktales and chose Ducktales.

 
Go with Lego Marvel if deciding between the two.  Marvel has a lot more characters to unlock, better story incorporation of those characters, and what seems to be a larger hub world.  More bang for your buck in Marvel IMO.

I played a little Castle of Illusion thanks to it being free on PS+. It was pretty fun. If you are looking for a fun, pretty, old school type of platformer, I'd say it's a good price.

 
Nothing for me. Although I did check some reviews for Sonic racing, and it looks like it might scratch my old Crash Team Racing itch. Wish it were under $10, I'll have to think about it. It's already been said a few times, but Vanquish is amazing. If you have any interest in action games at all, go for it.
