  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.  This requires being a paid subscriber or within a console-activated "1 month complimentary Gold trial" account.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

The first Halo can do that. I ended up getting lost quite a few times while playing it, but it's not too bad. Eventually, you find your way. The story in the games is par for course with FPS's in my opinion. It's not that great, but the books and supplemental stuff is excellent. I'ld say ODST and Halo: Reach probably have the best story lines of all the Halos.

 
So now it seems you can buy stuff from website with Microsoft Currency ONLY with Xbone games but NOT with 360. Microsoft continues to dissapoint .

I know. It wasn't that long ago that I was always on xbox.com buying stuff, now I barely use it. It's really amazing how much MS fumbled alot of great things that, as a gamer, made me love their service.

I played through it for the first time in 07. It was a chore, but I'm glad I did it. I still need to play the second one, Reach, and 4.

ODST is my favorite game in the series so far.

While the books and extra stuff (Such as Legends, Forward Unto Dawn, and Wars) are great, I personally thought the stories in the Halo games was really good for a FPS, it's easily become one of my favorite franchises ever since the first one released on Xbox and I've played through them all multiple times. Really looking forward to the collection coming out in November :D

Where have you been since Xbox One launched? I believe it was a little before then that Xbox.com stopped letting you use credit for 360 content. Time to upgrade amigo

Yes, but requiring that you use credit for Xbone stuff is news to me. Is that how it's always been?
 
I do like this trial gold gets you the XboxOne game for free still. I am not interested in the 360 games this month so getting to purchase Guacamelee without having to use my 3 month card yet is nice.

 
So basically we can BUY the Xbox One version of Guacamelee (for free with Gold) on the web, but it's not actually available yet to play on Xbone?

My body is ready. Probably will save the $5 for Xbox One sales next week.

Rented Sniper Elite 3 until Sunday. It feels weird. Something with the movement is weird. I haven't quite figured it out yet. Online was dead tonight. Got into 5 lobbies with only 1 other person (different people each time. Played 1 FFA with 1 other person where I just ran around shooting randomly into the air while the other guy was trying hard. It was really boring and I didn't get my achievement for sampling modes (I really hope I don't need to play ever gametype). Hopefully more people will be on tomorrow.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that sometimes the enemies glitch forward sometimes when walking. Hasn't caused me any problems yet, but in a game about sniping, I'm sure it will eventually.

Of course, as soon as the trial expires, you can't play the game anymore. Though you could play it later if you renew.

I think the person was just trying to say that using trials can get you the GWG on the Xbox One. Trials usually can't get you these games and offers, just the ability to play online.

Do you guys know what the cheapest Xbox Video content we can purchase for the Xbox Live Rewards offer they have going right now?  I see some $1.99 SD Purchases for some television series episodes, but I was wondering if they had any that were $0.99 like cheap movie rentals.  With the recent sales these past two weeks on various games, I think I'm pretty close to the $60 threshold.

It seems like operating on a daytime schedule, looking for jobs, and taking advantage of giveaways like the Facebook thing should be your priorities (in that order). Sleeping all day, not working, and missing out on the opportunities that come with being up in the daytime is a terrible combination.

But that's easy advice to give without knowing the whole situation.

Believe me I would if I were getting aid. I however don't qualify. Been trading in my disc games to GS for xbox credit whenever something I'd play comes on sale on the marketplace for cheap.

Sleep is very important. If I don't get my 22 hours a day, my body starts leaking all kinds of nasty fluids, so I understand. Not 22 hours straight of course. That'd be ridiculous. I wake up for 5 minutes once an hour.

Regardless, it's still good advice, and something I wish I had done sooner during my unemployment. Granted, I'm in a crappy job now that I can't wait to get out of, but hey, a paycheck! 8-[

 
Hey guys, does anyone know where I could (legally) get The Simpsons Arcade for the 360, or am I SOL? I took a LONG break from playing any video games at all, as well as reading any game related news b/c school (From August 2013 to December 2013; and started on my break again from January up until May), and I was recently looking at the trials I had installed on my 360 with the intent of buying the full versions of a few them and I noticed Simpsons Arcade was delisted.

I really expect them to fix that soon. There's no way they intended to do that, as nice as it is.
