  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.  This requires being a paid subscriber or within a console-activated "1 month complimentary Gold trial" account.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

I normally would wait for sales on their titles but I wanted to show support at launch for the UbiArt ones. And I have to say I'm loving the new Intenso power in Guacamelee STCE and the new areas. I found a cool Qbert reference. And I like the other updated references like the Super Time Force one.

Ive been enjoying all the ubiart games. It surprised me because im used to disappointment from ubisoft. I dont know if im in a nostalgia stage in my life or what it is but, i havent enjoyed really any aaa titles this gen. Most fun i had was with Ryse, i enjoyed bits and pieces of dr3. Either way i know with this nextgen of gaming we have to wait for amazing aaa titles. Just like with ps3 and xbox 360 it all took a while.

With AC4 from Best Buy, I won't need anything else for a week or 2.

I'd get some of the crappier X1 games if they were on sale for $5. Dead Rising season pass for $10 or under would also be great.

They already did the Dead Rising 3 game and Season Pass a few weeks ago. Got them both. And the backlog stack keeps rising.

 
So Microsoft doesn't allow you to use your account balance in conjunction with any other payment? They want to charge my credit card the full amount for Child of Light because my account balance is 4 cents short.

I am assuming you are not doing it on console?

Also I think once you press to confirm payment it asks you if you want to use the xbox live credit.

I don't really remember. So wait till someone else answers.

Just pick the CC option and it'll give you the choice if you want to use your account credit. I've done it plenty of times.

 
I'm pretty sure it doesn't tell you that you can use both until you confirm purchase (on console). They should change it to tell you sooner.
 
After the horrible CN announcement today I'm hoping for some good XBL deals this week. We haven't had anything worthwhile the last few weeks so we'll see what this week holds..

That Fable price, what a joke.

Definitely getting Skate 2 though.  Maybe GoW3, Darksiders 2, Witcher 2, Portal 2, and Sensible World of Soccer.  Will have to think about whether I should swap my KoF13 with soundtrack for the digital.

Some prices even with the huge % off are not appealing

SFxT still ends up being $10.

Portal 2 for $6 is pretty sweet though.

Witcher $10 isn't too bad.

Skate 2 $4ish

Gears of War 3 for $5... almost want to double dip considering how much better that was then Judgement.

Will keep an eye out since we get new daily deals.

If not, TWD2 pass, portal 2, and maybe ground zeroes are good.
 
I noticed that Gotham City Impostors has been delisted on PSN, so I'm wondering if it's free on Games with Gold as a last ditch effort to get some DLC money out of it before everybody else loses access for good.

Wasn't it delisted because the servers went down as part of the Gamespy shut down?

Already planning on getting Witcher 2 and Dishonored with this sale depending on how Thursday goes.  Can't pass up on that deal.

Portal 2 at 6 is possibility as well.

The PSN version was part of the list of games taken out when GameSpy went offline. As for the XBLA version no idea if it's WB or Microsoft keeping it alive but they're happy to make any scrap of cash they wouldn't have otherwise to be sure.

A lot of the games that were killed on PC and PSN seem to have stayed alive on XBL or had minimal impact so I would have to think it's the way that MS has different networking requirements and keeps XBL much more closed than PSN.

I'd think that if they were going to do that, they'd have done it a lot sooner instead of sell nothing on both platforms for the past year or two.

 
Man... If Silent Hill HD wasn't such a huge steaming turd of gaming fail, I'd love to have those on GoD...

Honestly, other than possibly Portal 2 in the weekly sale, I'm kind of meh on all of those. They've been on sale for near as cheap or cheaper before, mostly...
