  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.  This requires being a paid subscriber or within a console-activated "1 month complimentary Gold trial" account.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

That's been our way of doing things since the start. There's a reason that we all have developed massive backlogs over the last 10 years that will require specialty coffins that will allow our decaying corpses to play our games.

In all seriousness, I wish I would have said no to a lot more sales over the last couple years. The shitty games in my backlog keep me up at night.

This is hilarious, and hits close to home! I've been trying to give random backlog games a chance and if I don't love it within 20 minutes DELETE and don't look back. Now I have an x1 so I can have new fancy games that I don't play too

Ps-rocket knight was clearly made for children :(

Multiplayer...I just never saw the need. Like my 360 friends list or whatever it's called, consists of one person...lol. Anti-social gaming...lol.
 
I ended up deleting about 50 people on my XBL list. It got annoying when I would get on and be bombarded with invites and people who took it personal if I didn't wanna play something.

Yes, also, if you run against the boss from mid-distance and start a combo, if done right, your punch or kick (your combo starter), will land before the boss attack (unless he grabs you, which means you did it wrong). That way you can crush him with any character.

Thanks guys (sorry can't multi-quote on phone). I'll give it another go Monday after Evo. The first attempt (before reading your tips), he kept webbing me until he had enough meter to do crazy super that does insane chip damage.

Noob question, what does the D stand for with commands? That's the tutorial level in stuck on. I feel like it is probably something important if it is in the tutorial.

The range of game types I do like is really very narrow, Very Narrow...lol. Indie/xbl arcade titles usually fall under the not my taste category. A few that I liked are...

So far I think the sale has been ok nothing special. I picked up batman blackgate and assasins creed liberation only because I have never seen them on sale before. Aside from that I got portal 2. Everything else like ng2 is actually cheaper at gamestop. I'd rather have a disk copy then digital download especially when my harddrive space is running low. Also got kingdoms of amular for free on ps3 either sometime last year or early this year. Forget sometimes since all my games on ps3 were free aside from the ps3 exclusive bleach Soul Resurreccion

I have a firm stance that I won't play most MP games solo.  Everything is usually better when played with friends!  I'm at a point in my life where it's hard to game with new people unless we click.  Luckily I still have one friend who isn't tied down - or at least manages his time better than those who can't.

 
I keep looking at the lists to see if ANYTHING appeals to me...

So far, I've bought:

Gears 3 (which I still own on disc, but figure I'd like to have it digitally... OK, I was just sad from not buying anything during the UGS).

This hasn't been a very good UGS for me...

I am. Been playing Banjo-Kazooie HD. Been waiting for a sale since I registered over 3 years ago so... jumped immediately to the top of my "Must Play" list.

Also tried out Charlie Murder last night and it was... interesting. :p

Wow. A few of those have been on sale a million times (Unbound Saga) and Wik: Fable of Souls is good but just grab it on one of the Xbox Live Arcade Compilations you can probably grab for a $1 somewhere. The rest is a good mix of meh and good games.

Drats. Didn't know the single day sales were past the first day...missed out on Liberation, but I'd probably not end up playing it until the next sale anyway.

How long ago was Unbound Saga on sale?

I didn't bite on the Banjo bundle in case any of those other games went on sale.

I have Shank 2 from the previous sale. I don't understand why they passed over the first one.

I have Double Dragon on PS3 when it was free for Plus members. I wanted to put it on Xbox in the event my PS+ subscription expired and I couldn't play it (otherwise I'd jump right in @ 99 cents).

No idea, but it's probably been a while for Unbound Saga seeing as I don't have it from the US.

If you have Shank 2, you can probably skip the first until it sees a sale. They've been crappy about discounting it on Steam too.

 
hahaha I remember Unbound dropping to like $2 during a sale. I can't remember when, it was during those dark days before xbld.com where I would manually check every demo I had whenever someone claimed to have  price drop.
