This thread will maintain a list of all current and upcoming sales and markdowns on the Xbox Live Marketplace / Xbox Games Store for the USA.  YMMV in other regions.  If non-US sales are listed, they will be marked with their applicable region(s).

Please note:

 • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.
 • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.  This requires being a paid subscriber or within a console-activated "1 month complimentary Gold trial" account.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.
 • All known sales and information on sales should make their way into the OP. Major Nelson usually updates his blog with new sales information every other Tuesday.
 • ALL OFFERS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE! No information within this thread can or should be construed as accurate (or still valid), therefore ...
 • Always verify Xbox Live Marketplace prices before your purchase!
 • Spend wisely, have fun, and enjoy!

Yeah, I have non-buyer's remorse for not picking up TMNT. The game was heavily panned - GameTrailers gave it a 2.4 out of 10! - and I was hoping for better sales. Haven't picked anything up, might pick up Duck Tales. Does anyone remember if the Ultimate Games sake has a recap on the last day? Someone earlier said they did but I don't think that's true.

If the last day doesn't have anything good then it looks like I'll buy Skyrim and the 2 big dlc's for it. Surprised to see that its around 3gb, I expected it to be bigger than that

How is Dawnguard and Dragonborn dlc for Skyrim? should I skip either one?

So DR2 OTR is going to be $6.59? Or is it $59.99 normally and now on sale for $19.99. I might "bite" at under $7.
its normally $19.99. Its definitely worth it for the Sandbox mode alone, which is the entire reason I dropped 20 bucks on it.

If you find you like skyrim then both dlc packs are great. Awesome game. If you have to pick one dlc, go with dragonborn. Terrific game!

How exciting, they finally updated the hoppers in Forza 5 and now it looks like Nurburgring is in rotation too!  My favorite map in most racing games.

If I already have DR2 do I need Off the Record version? That's the only thing that might possibly be good for me out of the other four games.

you don't need it, really. If you already have the first one and enjoyed it a lot, but felt annoyed and rushed at the time limit and just wanna go around and kill zombies with a vacuum that shoots saw blades at your own leisure I say you should definitely get it for Sandbox mode. If thats not overly appealing to you then its a tougher sell. The story mode is slightly different, but I haven't gotten far enough into it to say if its better or worse, though even if it was better I doubt that alone is enough to sell you on it again. But overall I enjoy it, even though I have normal DR2

It's a different story so, YMMV.

Diff main character and gear, bad guys are the same names, but their stories are completely different.

Payday 2 is still 40€ here so I guess it's not on sale in Europe, the same as MGS GZ.

DR2 OTR is not on sale anywhere right now so I guess they forgot to pull a switch...

You may as well be in Russia Canada.

Yeah DR2otr is still showing at $19.99 here now.
It's on Nelson's blog so I would expect it to hold up even if it doesn't flip until morning.

What the dingus was that Vega (Balrog) movie at the end of Evo today? Was it supposed to be teasing a new series/movie or did they just decide to put up some random Vega movie? It was really cheesy, but I'd watch more of it.

Indie films, much like Balrog's movie they showed last year, and the one where they explained why their names were switched on the american version of the game. I assume that next year we get a Sagat short film.

Can someone explain to me what Dead Rising 2: Off the Record is? I played DR1, but never played DR2. Is it some kind of expansion or side thing, like the cheaper downloadable titles? Or is this a full game?

It's kind of an alternate history expandalone. Switches the DR2 guy for the DR1 guy, changes up the details of the story, adds weapons, and a sandbox mode. Same map and enemies and junk but it's a full game like they took DR2 and remixed it. Or like DR 2.25 or something.

Also I just double checked and the price on DR2 OTR is live now for anyone that was waiting.

A full DR2 expansion pack. Basically you play as Frank West instead of Chuck Greene. With a slightly different story. They added an amusement park too. IMO Frank > Chuck so DR2 OTR > DR2.

Put it like this. Did you like Frank? If so get this one, if not try DR2 to try another character

I got it, so its basically "here's Dead Rising 2 if we stuck with Frank instead of introducing a new character". I prefer Frank as well, which is why I haven't played DR2 yet. Thanks man.

Yep, and as long as you don't care that it's not canon in the DR universe it's probably the better option if you're only playing one.

Welp, I was just cleaning up a bit and found not one but two copies of Gears 3 I forgot I had bought a couple months back and now have a digital copy too.

You want my physical copy since my disc drive died? I paid full price for the OD version a week before the sale. You should start a cult of Marcus and collect Gears 3 copies.

Between the fact I bought so much at previous sales and generally not so impressive prices, I didn't buy much just yet. Season 2 pass for The Walking Dead (still waiting for Ep1 to become free or something), Bastion (had it on PC from a bundle but wanted to play it on 360), and for now that's it. I expected to buy a lot on daily sales, and yet, here we are. Hopefully tomorrow will bring some bonkers stuff but I'm not holding my breath. I'll probably bite on Skate 2 and SWOS. Also DuckTales.

My huge list of games I bought this sale.

Kingdoms of Amular - only so I can trade in my disc copy
Thought no one can beat my insane list:
BloodRayne, Skyrim
but you did sir. As for the new daily deals - crap as usual. DR2 is IP locked for me - yeah in 2014 this s..t is stil a thing! Thanks MS.
Huh? Why are you begging for a sale on Splinter Cell Conviction? Just go to Ebgames/Gamestop and grab it for $4.99. Now Blacklist would be good
It's 10€ on xbl market so it would be like 3€ on sale.
Used games here cost almost as much as new copies, launch titles go from 10€ (kameo, pd0, pgr3) to even 25€ (cod2). That's why I almost went full digital, it's not even worth it to look for cheap games :/

Damn i really wanted silent hill hd

Never played silent hill 2 and 3 use to scare the crap outta me

is it really that broken that its not worth even 10 bucks?

Apparently there are crash and bugs reports and 360 version is the only one that has not got any patches. I wouldn't support Konami for their half-assed job.

Just reading up on it and seeing videos and its insane how crappy of a job they did

and its not like i can get it cheap now and wait for a patch since its been out for over 2 years already smh

Kinda crazy that its even 40 bucks at its normal price and this broken

What a waste

Read this crap if you haven't already. They knew it was broke but released it anyway

The issue I read was that they built the HD collection from a beta version of the games. Konami lost the source codes for the final products. http://www.destructoid.com/silent-hill-hd-was-made-from-incomplete-code-228158.phtml

Wow and I thought Australia had it bad. Out of curiousity, where are you and is the used game market even like that when it comes to classifieds there (craigslit or whatever website your country prefers)? I find it can be really awful here in Australia but usually pawn shops are the way to go, especially since the PS4/Xbox One came out, as I can get most games for under $10 as long as they're about a year old. Before I realized that buying games for me was crazy.

For example most games even older ones hold their prices here at at least $49 AUD even years after they're released. There was an extremely rare clearance sale on some Xbox 360 games this weekend at a local retailer but they weren't scanning right. I managed to snag Metal Gear Rising for $8 but it scanned at $78 as prices are often that high even years after release.

Well I hope for you sake we see Splinter Cell Conviction go on sale - considering we've seen a few $5 Ubisoft games this sale so far you might be in luck. It's a fantastic game.

And in terms of Silent Hill HD - I'm caught on the fence. $10 is a good price for something that can be very hard to find a physical copy of. But you know it's a bad sign when the publisher offers a refund for releasing an essentially broken game. I might hold off until I grab a PS3. I already grabbed MGS: GZ for $10 thinking that was the sweet price point and I'm kinda regretting that choice now. With all the talk of updating MGS after all its iterations, I was hoping that they would have improved the gameplay a fair bit but it feels really clunky for a stealth game or a shooter. It just doesn't work for me.

The Eurozone has crappy used game prices. Same here in Italy, there used to be a couple 2-3 Euros used games at GS, but it's quite a rarity nowadays, hardly a game goes below 10, and there are 2-3 years old ones gladly moving around the 20-30 Euro area as well. The best chances you get in Italy for good prices is finding clearance bins randomly - it's how I've found some Kinect games for 5 Euros (including Fable The Journey), Naughty Bear for 1 Euro, DJ Hero 2 for 10 not long after it came out, PES2013 for 2 Euros (new), and so on. For us, these digital sales is where it's at, because they usually beat the prices of their used disc equivalent, assuming you can even find it.

I'm italian and the used market here is not that big. When a game has less than 12 months they accept it for promotions (like "get a new game for free/9€ bringing 1/2 games", but once the game is more than 1 y-old then it's value gets closer to 0.

I went to a Gamestop this week and the only games that were under 10€ were DJ/Guitar Hero, which are useless for me since I don't have the instruments. GOW Judgment was like 30€ used (USED), COD2 was 25€ (while COD4 was 22€ and COD3 was 20€ which doesn't make sense to me), there wasn't even SC Conviction (or Blacklist) or any other game I'm interested in (SH HD, MGS HD for example).

Look at this:

About SH HD: I'm going to buy it anyway at the end of the sale if I still have money in my digital wallet, I don't care if it's broken, I've never played them and I won't never find them both for under 10€.

"Cestoni"! Ahah :p

I once found Fallout New Vegas for 10€ (1 year after release), Halo Wars (1 and a half year after release), then nothing else. Thank God there's Amazon...
