  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.

Well, I picked up Destroy All Humans and Injustice.  Enjoying both so far.  I'm still considering getting the Red Faction Armageddon DLC.  Reviews say it's not worth the money, but maybe it is at half off.  I love me some Red Faction!

Also, I'd love a Destiny 360 beta code if anybody has an extra. 

 
Bought Destroy All Humans! Path of the Furon. Never actually seen a copy of that game in stores--granted, I don't look for games in store often, but it's a good price.

 
Anyone still having issues buying stuff with account credit? I've been on and off with Xbox support and they're not helping at all. They say my account is split wtf? How and why?

You can tell the guys behind Halo made this: Shielded enemies, colonization of planets. I thought the scope works much better than a D-Pad click. I also like how there are energy bars (even for shields). I'm not a fan of some of the respawn points. Sometimes they are way too far back so you're running past all of these environments you already cleared. The navigation menus feel like something you'd control via Kinect or Playstation Move.

But my favorite part of this: NO ENEMIES THAT SOUND LIKE EWOKS! Those little guys felt so out of place in the Halo games. Then again I'm at Level 2 so maybe they show up later. But yeah, it's pretty great.

XBLDB added another DLC pack for Painkiller called "Operation Zombie Bunker" for $3.49. Which of these non multiplayer DLC packs are worth getting?


Thoughts on Risen 2? I never played Risen 1 and there's no demo for it.

I bought Risen 2 in March and haven't regretted it one bit. The voice acting is laughable at times, (lots of times) but the quests are all pretty fun (even the side ones) and the setting and different islands are all pretty well done. I am about half way through, but now that I have an XBone I have a hard time turning my 360 on lol.

For anyone who buys it, I highly recommend you just keep your provisions, grog and rum up and remember to be patient in combat. Also, if (when) you run into a crocodile find a glitchy spot where they can't hit you and just shoot them repeatedly lol.
 
I'll be glad when this Destiny beta is over. It's taking away from discussing AWESOME games like Raven..........and DAH Path of Furon!..........Frontlines aaaaaaaaaand I just don't care anymore. Can't wait till the weekend so we can begin speculating about next week's Deals and when we become disappointed by those, we start predicting August's Games with Gold titles.

What, this thread ain't predictable? :whistle2:

 
Speaking of Frontlines. For 3.99 a game like that is a Kit-Kat bar. If you are even a little Battlefield or CoD fan = Just grab that game!

Frontlines has its moments it's a fun ride.

There's a code drop thread for giving codes, and a trading forum for selling codes, please use them. We really don't need 10 pages of Oprah-style giveaways.

How much are you paying for your Kit-Kats??!?!! I can go to my local 99 cents store and get 2 four-packs for 99 cents.

Unfortunately, I already have what I would want on sale this week(Batman AA, Batman AC, Darksiders, Red Faction Guerilla) and what I would like, just ain't low enough(Jeopardy, Spiderman). The rest, I just don't have the time anymore in my busy schedule. I'm looking at you Raven, you snoozefest!!!!

The consensus is that it's a very slow game. I downloaded the demo last night(3.13 gigs UGH!) and I can confirm, after 8 minutes of NPC talk which didn't hook me whatsoever, I gave up and deleted that shit. Ain't got time for that when I can be playing good games in the backlog. $7.50 for all the episodes doesn't help either.

Just FYI for completionists. The ranked servers for Frontline are offline so you will not be able to get the ranked multiplayer achievements anymore.

Yes, you can host and boost all the other multiplayer achievements. But there are 3 that specifically state "ranked" matches so you won't be able to get those three anymore. You can't host a ranked match; requires a server. Sorry.

NERDiots had a poll(yes a POLL) of what gamers would want for XBL's August freebies and people are now taking that list and running with it saying some of those games will be coming to GwG for August. Don't buy into the fake hype people!!!

That's not even a plausible list in any dimension where Activision is a Scrooge-style of company that can't even offer decent deals for their games.

Almost forgot that the AirMech Arena closed beta on X360 is starting tomorrow as well. Practically a suicide to run it next to Destiny, but I'll give it a shot surely, looks fun enough.

 
Any advice on how to get an external HDD working with the Xbone?  It's USB 3.0 and 2TB in size.  Formatted it to NTFS on my PC just to make sure all the preloaded crap was off of it, and it's still saying it doesn't meet the requirements, which I know is BS.

the 360 was really picky with usb sticks there is probably an easy fix but the hard drive might really not meet the requirements

 
Major Nelson has dropped ~60 XB1 Destiny Beta codes across a couple batches on Twitter today, and has said he'll drop some more tonight.

Street Trace: NYC was delisted from the marketplace. Demo is still up, as well as themes and gamer pics.

I got a copy way back when they were bundling it for free with Darksiders 1. Keep hearing about how great it is, finally broke it out this week to try it before I make a decision on the DLC.

Also I have two Xbox 360 codes for Destiny, PM me if you want one. ETA: Both gone!

It's fan-fucking-tastic, I tell ya. We need more garbage posts that contribute absolutely nothing to any conversation.

But on the topic of Darksiders 2 dlc, there are no achievements. Not a one. How does this still happen with games these days? Kinda has me questioning whether to purchase, or not. Anyone have an opinion of the quality? I've seen people say the game gets boring after a while, not sure adding more length to it would be a good idea.
