  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.

Meanwhile EU has had a sale on it and Earthbound (among other things) and they keep getting things like the Pokemon TCG that either never show up or take months to get here.

Depends on what you like. The Golf Club is out in 1-2 weeks and looks like an awesome golf game. I intend to get it if it's a reasonable price ($35 for Steam Early Access). Otherwise, I'd hang on to it until there's a digital copy of a multiplayer-based game you want (meaning it'd have a bunch of replay value), or I'd wait for some other digital-only titles worth your money.

 
The thing is, http://dlgames.square-enix.com/na/xboxlivearcade/, there are games there that I would buy on sale, but it seems like stuff that's beyond a certain date old, will NEVER go on sale again. I'd bite on a sale on Death by Cube, either Exit or Arkanoid, but nearly everything else on that list I've either already played and completed or have zero interest in. =/

 
Crystal Defenders is a really good, but really hard TD game. I got addicted to it on ios before came out on Xbox and was able to easily get all the Gamerscore. This was after a ton of playing on ios though. You can lose the entire level just by messing up one or 2 tower locations. Probably guides out by now for those that just want easy Gamerscore. I think you can also watch leaderboard replays.

 
Pretty decent third-person RPG, like Fable but much deeper. I have them both on PC though so I can't attest to console controls or issues.

I'm hoping for it to go on sale when the professor layton vs phoenix wright goes on sale at the end of the month. That's when it went on sale in the european market.

 
Tempted to get the Forza pass for the Rally part,  But then again, I could just pop in Rallisport Challenge 2 on the OG Xbox and it would be a better game probably.

 
I know that you can pay for an item using a combo of real money AND ms account

but does anyone know how PAYPAL works in the equation? after using paypal on the vergil dlc I have like a dollar left

is there anyway to carry that dollar into any other purchase as a combo with real money or ms account money?

 
For the guy asking about CoD on XBO: find a digital download pack at Target.  They were clearanced out at $20.98, and with a preorder card this week they are $5.98

Also, the Ubisoft server shutdown mentioned in the OP only affected some of the games listed achievement-wise.

Nope, I actually did that and haha nahh Rallisport Challenge 2 is really blocky. Recommend Rally DLC even though it's not a whole lot of rallying.

 
Pretty sure the Rally DLC is not part of the season pass. The season pass is for the car dlc. Pretty sure, it's been about a year since I played the game so I could be wrong but double check before you buy it.

I bought Crystal Defenders. I know it's "meh" at best. But I like FF and I like Tower Defense and I have a ton of XBL funny money...So whatever!

Meh. A lot of arcades from several years ago that should have probably got sales way higher than 50%. Risen 2, again, smells like GwG material. The sports games drops are likely permanent but they're not exactly inviting, you can get those games for a few bucks used. Also avoid Gyromancer like cancer: it seems like the perfect mixture of Puzzle Quest and Bejeweled Twist. It isn't. I'm a massive PopCap fan and adored every Puzzle Quest game, but this is just dumb. Square Enix really managed to ruin such a great concept, but they had the habit of releasing terrible XBLA games back then so I'm not even surprised.

It's pretty fun and fairly deep. It could use a better presentation: every graphical element looks lazy. Choppy animations, terrible textures, resolution which is screwed up, all kinds of spelling/capitalization errors, fugly menus. Too bad because the game beneath is solid enough, but that presentation is going to be very off-putting for a lot of players. I got it for free so no complaints, but I can see people skipping it by looking at the laziness of the graphics.

 
well last minute bite on the dead rising 2 DLC

and some of the DOA DLC is discounted as well.

and the 55 dollars in MS points from the gamestop promo was taunting me.

Yeah, you pretty much have to rigidly follow a guide in order to beat the harder levels. As a result, Crystal Defenders is like zero fun after a while. But it has cute Final Fantasy art, and the Achievements are easy since you just follow a guide the whole way through.

I really dislike CoD, but that console and controller are sick. I hope the controller is available separately.

Exactly what I was hoping. I'll probably stalk ebay for one. This also ends my hunt for a good priced Titanfall controller.
