Hydrothunder Hurricane (Dec 27th deal) is now live at a price of 400 points

great price coming from its original price of 1200 points

now to wait patiently for Limbo and hope its at least 50% off
I dont think the daily deals are just one day only.
did you check?

If Limbo isn't 50% off at the very least I will just grab Pac Man CE DX, it is certainly worth the 800pts.. which is all i have left actually :)

I'm on the fence for Hydro Thunder Hurricane. Has anyone played the game. Is it worth this seamingly good price? I'm away from home for the holidays, so i cant try out the demo.

Damn! I was away for Christmas and I missed getting The Writer for Alan Wake! I guess I'll just have to pay the 560 for it. Oh well.

I have played the original and it's a solid arcadey title. If you like your racing served with absurdity, hidden pathways and a splash of water then you will dig HT.

Yeah, the last time there was a sale, I think the other two were only discounted to like 300 or 400 points?

Glad I waited on the Shadowbroker one though.

Finally! Didn't jump when they last had it on sale at 560/360pts each, for 200? What a deal! So I start up Mass Effect 2 again with the new downloads, then spend 3 hours playing the free Firewalker missions that came with the Cerberus network. Figures.

Are all 3 of these worth downloading? I haven't played ME2 yet, but just picked it up recently for $11. Don't want to wait to play it though and pass up on this deal if this DLC is really good.

Shadow Broker is the best of the 3, but they all have their positives. Kasumi's is a nice change of pace, and gives you another character (Kasumi). I just finished ME2 yesterday (for the first time) - amazing game. The DLC is definitely worth picking up if you like the game.

I was thinking about buying the PS3 version this January since it includes all of the DLC on the single bluray disc, but getting all 3 expansions for 600pts (which were 75% off from Rogers!) I think this is too good to pass up.

Both overlord and shadow broker got over a 9.0 from IGN. Kasumi got a 7.5, but it was dinged cause it was too short/not enough content for 560pts. The shadow broker DLC will bridge into ME3.

This is off topic, but has there been any more word on possible bridge DLC (after Shadow Broker) for Mass Effect 3? I beat Shadow Broker on Insane a few nights ago, died about 12 times :)

^ I don't think anything has been announced. Considering that the PS3 version is supposed to be the "definitive version" according to Casey Hudson @ BioWare, I'd assume that no more DLC is planned. I still haven't played Shadow Broker yet, but does it leave any loose threads? No spoilers please!

Thanks, onemorechanc! I was going to wait for the GOTY edition, but this is exactly the excuse I needed to pick up the game now.

Thank you for the update. It stinks that there might not be any more DLC, but all I will say is you will have an awesome time! Great Missions, probably took me around 5 to 6+ hours to complete. The only thing it leaves is you wanting more content! :)
Btw, Amazon.ca dropped the price of ME2 to $15! What awesome timing!
Thanks for the tip ... that is about the right price for me!

Also, the Sonic deals are now live ... updated first post with details.

Come on Microsoft...bring on Limbo! lol Although I would settle for Plants vs. zombies as well :p

i'm torn on whether to buy limbo or just wait for more of a price drop in a future sale. With how low we saw all the former summer of arcade titles go (less than 600) its sad to see Limbo at 800 considering its considerably shorter than the other SoA titles

...good thing I have 24 hours to decide

I am disappointed that Limbo did not go for 600MSP like some of those other Summer Xbox Live titles. And for that reason I have decided not to purchase it. Why all of a sudden are certain games only getting 33% off only when Lara Croft and Castlevania got 50% off.

Limbo is supposed to be a short game anyways so I will just wait for it to get to 560MSP to 600MSP and if that never happens then no loss. I will save my points.

Maybe I will get Comic Jumper instead now since its supposed to be a longer game.

Given that Limbo is on many "Game of the Year" lists, I think we're lucky its on sale at all. With all the press the game is getting for end of the year stuff, they didn't have to put it on sale at all and it would've still sold well.

I doubt it will drop in price anytime soon after this, so I would jump on this now if you've been waiting to pick this game up.

i just finished Comic Jumper last night and I wasn't too impressed with it. Although its humour factor was spot on, the actual gameplay was a bore. 4 hours of pure grinding doesn't equal a good time. I actually wish i hadn't purchased that one for 800 as it seems better suited as a 400 title based on the repetitious gameplay. It is definitely Twisted Pixel's weakest effort so far. The only truly good thing in the game (besides the humour) is the unlockables: theme, 2x gamerpics, more splosion man levels, 3x avatar awards, multiple videos w/ the developers...etc

The thing about Limbo is I played the demo. I didn't think the game was all that wonderful but for 600MSP I was willing to pick it up. However, for 800MSP for such a short game I have zero interest. By the time it ever does (if it ever does) drop to a reasonable price I probably will not have any interest left in the game.

Heck if they were going to give such a terrible deal for Limbo, I would have loved to have seen DeathSpank for DoTW.

Thanks for your review/opinion of the game. I heard the same complaints about the game from review sites. I also have seen a bit of a playthrough on Youtube of the game. To be honest the only reason I want the game is for the "Smiley Hat" but I think 800MSP is a bit to steep. I guess I will pass on this also.

Meh, I was hoping for a reason to hook my 360 back up to the net. Paying $12 for another digital game in my backlog isn't worth the effort.
Limbo is $10, not $12. 800 points = $10.
I think the other poster meant with the conversion of points. We pay more for Microsoft points in Canada then the U.S.

i.e. in the U.S. 1600MSP is $20 and in Canada its $20 for 1400MSP.

NO NO NO! God fucking dammit! My internet is down so I'm using my proxied internet at my work. I can't get onto marketplace...I've been waiting for a deal on Limbo for ages

didnt know that as I never connected the Xbox. Cool thanks!

I love how the xbox marketplace can queue up downloads - I would have missed all of these deals since I was away from my xbox for the holidays. Now, if only my PS3 would get a system like this.

....and actually have some holiday deals instead of listing a bunch of popular downloads at regular price ;)
