Oh, you fucker.

Beat me by 2 minutes.
Yep. I've earned by gold star for the day.

So far, Trussel has been doing a fantastic job at giving us what we want.

I've got fond memories of "Zany Golf" and "Hole-In-One Miniature Golf" from way back in the day. I'll definitely try the demo and see what kind of vibe I get.

I'll probably pass on mini-golf. Looks interesting, but I really scrutinize games I'm going to jump on for more than 400 points. I get them occasionally (like Alien Hominid), but there are lots of games I'd have at 400 that I pass on at the 800 level.

Gyruss, can't quite decide yet. I'm a sucker for shooting games. Gyruss looks alright, not sure if I'll enjoy it more than I'm enoying Jet Pack Refueled. Yet, the price is right, I'll definitely download the demo of it.

Wow, I can't believe how quickly (at least seemingly) XBLA has turned around. It wasn't long ago that RootBeer Tapper was the "big" release. Now, it seems like every week, there is something interesting getting downloaded. Even if I'm not into it, there are games that someone is getting excited about and enjoying greatly.
Minigolf seems tempting, but the OXM review was not that favorable.
they did say the online and custom coarse design was nice though... DEMO will help in making choices.

Mini Golf looks good but after the way Sierra screwed up Assualt Heroes, I dont know. They never did fix the co-op which was the main reason why I bought the game. I'm not sure about supporting them after there poor response and igonring the playing on live co-op issue. Plus it is $10....sheesh

Just wondering but what is the co-op issue in particular? I've played co-op several times with my friends and haven't had any connection errors or the ilk so I'm curious as to whether it's a limited problem or a very specific one.

That and, in a best-case scenario, maybe we can find some semblance of a workaround for something that probably shouldn't have made it through certification.

I'll try both.. but it's NICE to see something like golf. Regardless of your personal feelings on it, it IS nice to have more variety.

With BBR last week, it's nice to see some different kinds of titles on the XBLA. Even if your not interested, you still have to sorta appreciate it
$10 for mini-golf?

fuck, I'll just go to Putt-Putt.
True I think its only $5 or so to Putt-Putt in real life.

I'd easily get it if it were 400 pts, but I dunno about 800.
Its only 36 holes which is 3 courses. No way 3 courses are worth $10 If it had more then 5-8 courses then I would get it for $10.

Well I for one am a huge mark for mini-golf, so I will be getting this for sure. Hell, I rented a Rugrats game on PS1 a long time ago just because I heard it had a decent mini-golf game, which it did.

About an hour to go, right?

Well they are both out.
I tried downloading the demo for Gyruss.. but.. it stuck at 1% and said could not download, try again later.

The 3D Ultra Minigolf demo is at 80%, and it's going.. so that's fine.

Edit: Just played the mini golf demo. Hmm. It's ashame they only give you 3 holes to play, but it seems pretty cool. I hate to be cheap about it, I have 11,000 effin MS points so I'm not worried bout wasting any money..just not sure if I'll play it. I gotta check again, if it has local multiplayer then I'll buy it since i know me & my BF will play. The game is pretty cool though, so don't blow it off because "its an $10 mini golf game". The graphics aren't amazing, but it doesn't matter really since it's an XBLA game. Not bad though, may play the demo again. The last hole in the trial version is pretty cool though :)

The achievements don't seem impossible too, so that's always a plus :)

Anyone else try to download Gyruss yet? Any initial impressions? I went so far as to purchase a new 1600 point card, in case this game was good enough to make the full purchase. Won't get a chance to download the demo until later tonight.
Yeah the Mini Golf game doesn't seem too bad at all. Don't know if I'll purchase it yet or not.
Yeah, played the demo again. I may just buy this.
Just can't wait for more people to come home, try it and rant and rave on how this should be a 400 point game, this is garbage, blah blah blah
Once again MSoft fucks this up with their riddiculous pricing.
Negative pyrogamer post # 17,083.

Hate to break it to you, but Microsoft doesn't set XBLA prices. They just set the minimum price of 400 points.
