xbox live games with gold and the xbox one

Can I download xbox one games before I own the console?  I'm thinking about getting a One soon and I'd renew my gold subscription in advance if it meant I could bank a handful of One games now.

I assume it's as simple as downloading from the xbox.com site, right?
