Yes it is, you cannot play ranked Halo on trial.

Also, don't forget if you download the Mass Effect 3 demo you get free gold until the game comes out.

Thanks, Dark Rider. Any tips on how to access Halo unranked matches? I've never been able to figure it out.

Also, are you serious about the ME3 demo/free gold? Sounds too good to be true! (Like peanut butter and chocolate together.)

You should be able to find social matches (like grifball) that are okay.
