Thanks onemorechanc. I'll be picking up Splosion Man.
A reminder 1400 points cards are $14.99 at the Real Canadian Super Store till Thursday January 28th.

Hmm, the AC2 DLC (Battle for Forli) is only 320 points.. is Ubisoft being generous? Or maybe it's really short? Or it's a 1000 byte unlock key and they know there will be backlash?

yeah I bought a 2800 point card for 30 at RCSS during the holidays, after getting Ballad of Gay Tony, I will be getting splosion man, 400 points is a great price for it.

And if people actually take advantage of those sales, that could help make sure they keep having good sales... I hope

I hope we get to hear about oter upcoming deals. I have 800ish points left and while I want Splosion Man, if Braid drops soon and I miss it again I might explode myself.

Wow, first The Maw and now Splosion Man... Twisted Pixel must be happy to get the co-marketing. At least these deals are getting better and better. :)

I wasn't too big on letting The Maw filling the burning 400 point void in my virtual pocket but it almost did. Very glad that 'Splosion Man will be taking it's place, thanks for the heads up!

Those 5$ off 1400 and 2800 xbox point cards will be back on sale on the 28th to the 3rd at maxi & cie, also the 12month XBL will be 10$ off!. 3rd week in a row!:applause: So RCSS should turn out the same. Just price match those at F.Shop or B.Buy.

Wow, Splosion Man for 400 points is killer. I'd be all for that, but I don't have a Gold subscription, and I'm not about to pay one to get a deal. :D

I would be very, very surprised if it was an unlock code. It seems to me that the exclusion of the content was necessary for the game to make it out by launch date.

Ususally, I ignore all forms of DLC. But I really really liked AC2. And if I can get about another hour or two of enjoyment out of the game, I'd pay 5 bucks for that.

Also, I have over 3500 points on 360. I was so tempted to pick up Splosion Man a month back, but I figured something like this would happen.

Whenever I buy a GOTW it seems I never play it. It's wierd, it's like if I'm not paying full price I don't bother with it.

Maw, BC-Rearmed, N+, Shadow Complex. I bought them all cause they were cheap and hardly touched any of them...

Oh well, maybe Spolsion Man will be different.... :)

So joystiq says it's one hour long.. that's why it's cheap. Next DLC is 400 points and ties in with this one, so I'll probably wait and get them together.. combined it's still only $9, so reasonable I guess.

I'm sure everyone else has figured this out as well but please do not buy the 2800 point card for $5 off . Buy 2 1400 point cards.

Well if everyone thinks 'Splosion Man is a great deal, I'll have to bite on it today! Hey random question, but if I have two gamertags, and the XBL Gold membership expires for one of them, can I still play the Arcade games that I've bought?

I don't see why not.. silver members can buy and play (offline) games.

I bought splosion man too! Good deal.

The Gold membership only gets you a cheaper price on the game. They don't take the ability to play the game away from you if your gold membership expires (that sounds very sinister). I don't want to type this but playing online of course gets nixed without a gold account.

Yeah that makes sense, I'll still have my CrazyCanucker14 online, but I'll just use my other gamertag for playing the arcade games I've bought. I played the demo of 'Splosion Man a few minutes ago, it was quite fun, but honestly I think I might pass, it just seems pretty repetitious to me. Sure, it's 50 levels, but I was getting a little bored of the first three lol

Yep. If you bought the game with that gamertag, then you should be able to play it when your Gold membership runs out. It worked for me in the past.

the first few levels are pretty easy but they crank the difficulty up pretty consistently through the rest of the game plus it has a unlockable avatar awards, gamer pics and themes.

From Major Nelson's blog this morning, so presuming the sale is Feb 8-14.

This week Xbox Live Gold Members can choose from 3 different Xbox LIVE Arcade fighting games that have special DOTW pricing:

Marvel vs Capcom 2 - 800 points (usually 1200)
TMNT: Turtles in Time Reshelled - 400 points (usually 800)
Invincible Tiger: The Legend of Han Tao - 800 points (usually 1200)

3 games on sale, hopefully they do this more often with more titles/bigger lists of items on sale

got TMNT, played that game on snes with my brother for a long time, back in the day.

800 was a bit too steep, at 400, i'll bite.

I am also likely to buy TMNT at 400 points. Even with the replacement music and the fact it is a port of the inferior Arcade version

that is a very good price for marvel vs. capcom.

unfortunately, it's a game that's hard to love unless you're crazy about fighters.
