xbox live setup

CAGiversary!
I finally got dsl (sbc/yahoo), and am trying to figure out the best/cheapest way to set up xbox live. My computer and xbox are in different rooms, and I would prefer a wireless arrangement. What equipment do you recommend?

Thanks

If you have the wireless router already, then all you will need is the wireless bridge adapter. Here is a link from Microsoft on wireless Xbox Live.

And here is a link to the recommended routers and adapters from Microsoft.

I run Xbox Live wireless with a router and adapter combo that is not on the list and the only real problem was the initial setup. If you get one of the compatible bridges, it will be recognized in the Xbox Live dashboard under the wireless option and make setup much easier from the dashboard.

i had a wireless Linksys router from walmart for about 60 or so and then got their "game adapter" (on sale for 49.99) and it works great.. and yes the hardest part was setting it up but once it is you never have to worry about it again. a lot of people find "lag" on their wireless setups but i've never had any problems with it. a few times the signal would drop out but that was because of my internet service not the router/adapters fault. and its much better when you want to move the xbox around (i sometimes move it upstairs to the 50 inch HD tv opposed to my 28 in regular tv in my room..) so i can have live anywhere in my house I like that option.

I use a D-Link DI-524 router I got from BB about a month or so ago for 30 AR. For the bridge I got a Motorola WE800G for about $20-30 from Tiger Direct. No problems at all so far, although I have read some bad about both products. The cheapness was worth the risk for me.
