Xbox resetting on its own?

I just noticed this afternoon that if I leave my 360 running and leave the room for a bit, giving the controller enough time to turn itself off, when I come back and press the guide button on the controller the Xbox goes quiet, and resets itself back to the dashboard.

This is getting kind of frustrating and I've never had this happen before, google wasn't much help so I was wondering if anyone on here had any idea what might be going on? Thanks

leaving the xbox idle long enough for the controller to turn off is...pretty long almost 5-10 minutes. as for it reseting to the dashboard, i've never encountered this problem but most of my games are installed to the HDD. Could that be why? To save your xbox from continually spinning...if anything it's a good thing no?
