Why would anyone buy a game and not open and play it? There is a HUGE difference in collecting video games versus collecting anything else. Future value is determined by supply and demand. Unless the game is out of print, supply is virtually infinite and will have no reason to increase in value. 99% of all games eventually drop in price. To buy a game and leave it unplayed while it declines in value is foolish. There is only a small handful of video games with an actual reason to ever rise in collector value.
