Post all comments, impressions, etc, in here. I'm going to try to get all the fable threads on the front page combined into this one.

Let's talk about Fable. :)

I'm probally going to ask for help a few times, so I need this thread. :p

I'm really enjoying Fable, it's not perfect, but it's still quite good. I can't wait to go home and play. I'm also pretty far into it if anyone needs help.
has anyone figured how to play as master chief in fable yet?
Not yet. I'll let you know if I find anything about this.

No, but I did figure out the "topless mode" code.

I just rented fable, only gonn ahave it for 5 days so im wondering which side (good vs dark) would give me a quick display of character change.
Does anyone know how to get through that door?
You mind detailing that a little bit better?

^^^I'm sure the coolest looking "transformation" would be evil, so if you're on a time constraint, I'd go with evil first.

Just got fable and I love it, seems like there is a lot to do in this game and it's going to take a lot of hours from homework! What up Sj41

Well so far the only thing i'm not liking is that my guy is 30 but has a full grey head of hair, tempted to just make him bald at this rate.

I was going to make another Fable topic once I saw this one, just to be a non-conformist, but I guess I'll just post my question here.

Has anyone been able to have sex with Lady Grey? I went ahead and married her, but I'm having no luck getting her into bed, I've tried all the usual stuff, talking to her, flirting, sexy hero pose and gifts. I did this just about non stop from about mid day to mid night and got nowhere with her, just the usual compliments. I thought I read somewhere about maybe having to get your wife near the bed? But she is never near my marital house, so is it impossible to have sex with her?

One more question, where in the hell is Fisher Creek? I'm almost to the end of the game and I never remember going through that area.

She will go into her own house to her room, that is where the deed is done. Many, many times. And fisher creek is near greatwood forest.

Isn't Fisher Creek just through Greatwood?

I think from Lookout Point you head into Greatwood and Fisher Creek is in the NE corner.

Excellent

Heh beat me to it. If anyone needs help I should be on for a bit until I need to do my homework. I have played through it twice.
Here are some reccomendations that I have.
1.) Get a decent amount of HP
2.) Learn Multi-Arrow
3.) Learn Berserker
That is it lol, I'm trying to max my guy out but I can't find good place to train.

If I kill everyone in a town will the town repopulate? If not Oakvale is a ghost town!

How many people do you have to take to the temple of skorn to get younger? and can I do it more than once?

The one asking about the door, are you refering to the big gate at the clifftop path? If so I know exactly what not to do, cause I screwed that up and found a bug that will require me to restart the whole game since I ended up playing for 6 hours and a bunch of saves later, I don't know why I erased the saves that were nearer the beginning but I have learned. Don't leave the clifftop path wihtout getting through the gate. If you do, you'll never get through.

After you beat the game how does it work when you play it through the second time? Can you keep building your character up, do you start with the money you had when you beat it the first time or what goes on?

Holy shit, I just found out something fun.

I gave ten beers to my wife and she started stumbling around and muttering incoherently. THIS RULES!

HOw do you drink in the game? I started playing yesterday and can't figure it out.

Yeah, you can keep building your character and keep your money. It's not very fun afterwards though. I kind of glad I didn't buy this game. I'll wait till I can pick it up for $15 with a GGC.
Did you rent it, or have you played it, How do you know it's not fun?

How exactly do you get to play through the game a second time using your same character? I've beaten jack about 5 times so far, but after I beat it, a couple minutes into the credits my xbox gives me a dirty disc error. When I skip the credits nothing seems to happen. Is it absolutely imperative that I somehow find a way to get my xbox to not freeze during the credits and sit through the whole thing? Or is there a different way?

You don't play through the game a second time with the same character, you just continue playing after you beat Jack with your character. You MUST sit through the credits, which are around 18 minutes long.

HOw do you drink in the game? I started playing yesterday and can't figure it out.

Go to a tavern and buy beer.. go to your item list and use it (or if you're lazy like me, assign it to a button). Five or six drinks in, things will get blurry.

To give a beer to someone, walk up to someone and use the beer (or push the button. I recommend assigning it to a button).
I just left after the credits came on. I came on CAG for about half an hour and when I came back it was at the screen you get when you finish a quest. You just got to let the credits roll. I heard they were like 20 minutes long!!!
Thanks for the confirmation, looks like my xbox has fucked me over again, it is impossible for my xbox to go through the credits without getting a dirty disc error, every time right when the orchestra part of the credits come up. The disc is spotless, and my xbox tends to do this a lot with games.

I've been playing (as a good hero) for 3 days straight now, almost at the last quest. Got married, bought a house, can't figure out how to have sex. :(

Awesome game though. I don't think I've enjoyed a game more recently.

Make sure she is in the house, that's what tripped me up.
Sounds like a thompson drive!
Ding Ding Ding! But it was free so I guess I can't complain, well complain too much that is.

Credits were very long, I just changed my sytem selector to PS2 and started playing DDR until it was over.

Played Fable for about 3 hours straight last night until I was destroyed in ESPN NFL 2K5, and then got my neck broken several times in Splinter Cell PT.

Awesome game. This is the first single player game that has earned my love since ... since... well, along time ago.

I've done 4 quests (I think) so far and have about 1500 gold. Haven't gotten anyone to love me yet, but I'm starting to work on it. I had some trouble walking the traders through the DarkWoods, but I sooner or later beat it.

I jsut beat Fable today and it while it was fun, it wasn't all that I wanted. There were a few cool moments and I had a good time fishing and digging up graves.

I just don't understand this game. I've played many, much better games, but I can't seem to stop playing this. I am totally addicted. It doesn't live up to the hype, but is still solid. I think the reason I am so addicted is cuz I want to see my character keep changing (I almost crapped my pants when I saw the badass scar I got after a fight with one a monster) Really, if not for the character creation/evolution stuff, it wouldn't be all that great, just solid. Now, if you'll excuse me, Fable calls.

Been playing it on and off lately...is kind of losing it's new-game charm. I read a lot of the previews and interviews about this game on sites like IGN, and that just lead to disappointment. Like the interview where a guy killed everyone in a town, causing all the real estate prices to drop, and he bought the houses for cheap and rented them out for whatever amount he wanted...that doesn't work. I killed the entire town of Oakvale and houses were still in the 6-7 thousand range, and rent was still a dismal low. I'm hoping the other hyped up games of Fall 04 (GTA SA, Metroid 2, Halo 2, etc) won't disappoint...

I want to know if Im almost done.

Yes.

But getting the sword isn't part of the main storyline. Once you break out.. you're pretty much at the end.. one or two quests away, I think.

I'm starting to regret buying it so early. Its an okay game, not woth playing $45 for. I've put in maybe 4 or 5 hours in it since I got it on launch. but I'm loosing interest really fast in the game. Infact I didn't bother playing it at all this weekend. There have been a lot more better games out there. Hell I'm starting to like Sudeki more then Fable. Unless it pulls a rabbit out of its ass this is getting my vote for most disappointed game of the year and most over rated. =/
