The Basics
This thread is designed to compile the Xbox Live handles of people that are looking to add some CAGers to their friend lists. The previous version of the thread is here:
http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=140358
As you can see, the previous version included a lot of detail about who was interested in playing what games but really it proved to be a logistical nightmare when the list ballooned to the size it current sits at. So, I've removed that and simplified by promoting clan tags as a way of organization game-specific groupings. Everyone on the list has expressed interest in playing with other CAGs, so add at will.
Why Post Here?
There are three reasons to post in this thread:
1) You are not on the list yet and wish to be. In your first post in this thread, please provide your XBL name and a general list of games that you might be interested in playing with other CAGs.
2) Let's say you're up at 11 PM EST on a Saturday and you're itching to play some Halo 3 co-op online. Post here. In my little "best case scenario" this thread would serve as a way to get CAGs together to play games, no matter which game.
3) You're part of a CAG clan of some sort, or a game night of some sort, and your event is starting up (see next heading).
There are a ton of people on CAG looking to play with other CAGs. My hope is this will be a meeting place for those folks, or at least the 360 users among us.
CAG Gaming Nights & Clan Listings
With the use of the Friend of a Friend feature on Xbox Live, it's now possible to compile friend listings for particular games or events. For example, CAGCOD4 is the silver gamertag that has been created to house CAGs that play COD4 on a regular basis. For those with CAGCOD4 as a friend, they can then go into the friend of a friend feature, see all of the people on the CAGCOD4 list and invite them into games relatively easily.
The tag has worked well so far, so I'm going to compile all of those gamertags here so that anyone interested in a particular game can see if there's a group created for it. If not, anyone is free to create one and we can promote it here. Some of these tags will have particular nights devoted to them and I'll post those here as well.
CAG Xbox Live Leaderboard
Cheapy has added an Xbox Live leaderboard to the site so that you can compare your gamerscore to other CAGs and see what they're playing (another good way to find people interested in a particular game that you're interested in). Find it here:

Just Getting Together To Play Games
It's a simple concept and hopefully these little collections of information will make it easier. I'm of course open to suggestions on making this better and making it easy to understand. The following few posts will contain the nuts and bolts information to make it easy to access. Happy gaming.
