I went back about 4 pages and couldn't find any mention of this. Delete it if it has posted already.

Amazon is offering Buy 2 Xbox 360 Platinum Hits Get a Third Free. Titles aren't completely garbage but I am a little disappointed to see a good amount missing (Dead Space... where are you?)

Here is the link: http://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.html/ref=amb_link_82966671_7?ie=UTF8&docId=1000420671&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=center-4&pf_rd_r=0EB835HBNYRNRJ4C2NW8&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=489508331&pf_rd_i=468642

I actually posted it in the all video game gold box thread, but I'm glad someone made an actual thread about it. It's a pretty sweet offer.

Why would that matter? If you're getting it free, and the other two are ones you would buy anyways, just pick something you think looks interesting. It's free after all.

Fixed. These are new, after all. You can easily sell the extra new copy to offset the total price paid for the two you're keeping. I would suggest half.com. Also, you have a friend who wants one, you can share the cost.

I got Mass Effect, Burnout Paradise and Marvel Ultimate Alliance. With ECA discount, it came out to $34 shipped. Great deal, OP!

Because you touch yourself at night, of course. Self touchy aside, looks like a good deal.

And I have every single of these games...thanks for trying! Plus I try to get all Platinum Hits or whatever devoid of that packaging art work (usually used at GS). I'm sure it could be pot-luck w/ Amazon though as they could have original prints still in stock.

Hey SilverBulletKY, I loved Lego Indy. Haven't played Lego Batman, but had a ton of fun playing the Indy one. Can't go wrong.

Perfect timing OP, thanks for the post...been looking to add these to my collection (owning the first 2 on the PC and the regular edition of Mass Effect)

Oblivion : GOTY (surprised they consider the GOTY version a platinum hit, but great for me - never picked up the expansion packs)
BioShock
Mass Effect 2 disc.

With ECA and a 30 off coupon was 20 bucks with amazon trade in credit...again, thanks OP - I've been hunting for deals on all 3 of those for the last month or 2...

If you got kids all 3 LEGO games are great for that price. I actually play with my kids, they are all fun and multiplayer.

Thanks OP. Will definitely take a look. Saw it mentioned in the Gold Box thread, but couldn't find it myself, must have been to late :D Since the Gold Box today is quite disappointing, might have to make up for it with this :applause:
Which is better.. Lego Batman or Lego Indiana Jones?
I have both, for PS3 however, and I personally like Lego Indiana Jones better. They are both very similar and if you have a preference of Batman or Indiana Jones, you may want to go that route. However, I don't have a preference of character, I just liked the demos, so I bought them both. From the demo I also liked Indiana a little better. I'm not really sure what it is, it is a little brighter and I prefer that over a dark atmosphere, the game play and story is a little more interesting, etc.

But again, I think they are both games and you can't go wrong either way. I love the Lego games (I know not everyone does) I don't have Star Wars yet, but I knew enough about Batman and Indiana Jones to make the game a little more fun, whereas I've never seen Star Wars, so I think it would lose something.

Stop typing and start watching. Seriously. Make sure you go in the correct order, too (original trilogy before new, crappy movies).

I liked Lego Indy better than Lego Batman, but they're both great.

want mass effect and assassin's creed, have or don't want all the rest. might tack on ultimate alliance.

should i jump on the deal just for those two games, or should i hold out for something better?

I'm not going to get into a huge debate here, but how is watching the orginal first, vs the new "technologically superior" films the correct order? Let's see, what a wierd chronological time warp that would be since the 'later' films were ACTUALLY the first in the story arc. Growing up as a kid, the triology made little sense to me other than that it was cool. when I finally got to watch all six in order, it made perfect sense.

So, it's only common sense to watch them in the order the creator/director intended it to be, not some fanboy's belief structure. You certainly wouldn't start at chapter 15 in a 30 chapter book, then go back and read the first fifteen would you?

Damn. Almost a good deal for me for titles I have a little bit of interest in. Too bad three things stop me. No luck finding a new job, no ECA discount, and Oblivion GotY is $10 more than the other two. I only have lukewarm interest in the three titles anyway. Oh well.
Does anybody know if the Mass Effect in the sale includes the DLC?
All platinum hits should include all DLC released when the platinum hits copy was released, so yes it should.

ah, good to know. thanks. was between this in the madden gold box deal, but i think i'm going to punt madden. not trying to drop 100 bucks today.

I liked Lego Indy better then batman. Batman had too many costume changes that I feel slowed the game down. I liked Indy better because your partner was usually able to do something you couldn't.

But that doesn't make Lego Batman a bad game at all.

Those can be the most frustrating games to co-op with adults. I'd hate to see it with kids.

I have been wanting to pick up lego batman but haven't yet. I'm sure I could find 2 others on that list but the thing is I want to get the credit card paid off.

That's crazy talk. Using your logic, one should read "Prelude to Foundation" before "Foundation" and watch the prequel scenes of Godfather 2 before Godfather. Should I have read "The Magician's Nephew" before "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe"?

If the first 15 chapters were complete crap, then it would make perfect sense to skip them.

Saturday I caved on Lego Star Wars, Lego Batman, and Gears of War. I've been eying that 2 Disk GoW for awhile and I'm hoping my GF will enjoy the Lego games so I wanted to complete the collection as I have Lego Indy already. Deal came at a good time Under $40 for 3 good games I'm pretty happy with that thanks OP

And this is why the games on demand option is BS. Thinking about getting AC, and Bioshock and something else.

FYI, one of the games I ordered was Lego Indiana Jones. It just arrived, but they sent me the double pack Lego Indiana Jones/Kung Fu Panda, unwrapped, but with a security sticker and barcode sticker on the back. Was that a pack-in with something?

Also fyi, marvel ultimate alliance is the standard version.

It was part of last year's holiday bundle with Pro and Elite.

I might jump in for Mass Effect, Gears of War, and Burnout Paradise (or Oblivion).

My 6 yr old nephew is frickin BOSSY. I can't play Lego Star Wars without him yelling or telling me "I know what to do". HOW DO YOU KNOW WHAT TO DO WHEN WE JUST GOT HERE? grrr. Damn those one screen co op games.

Indy is the best of the games though.
Finally jumped on Assassin's Creed. Also got Mass Effect and Lego Star Wars
Just started Mass Effect Monday and 10 hours into it and loving it. By the way I had tried a few "RPGs" in my lifetime and never liked them but so far Mass Effect is awesome fun...

Agreed.. it's one of the best

I guess I'm one of the few whose favorite Lego game is Batman, but Indy was also great and so far Star Wars is alright. I think ima get Mass Effect, Oblivion Goty, and Burnout when I get home. Just wanted to double check, my save file from the orginal Oblivion will work with the Goty version, correct?

Debating whether to get Burnout Paradise here or get it for the PS3 next week from Bestbuy in their PS3 buy 1 Get second for 50% off sale. I don't have Xbox Live, but would love to play the game online so PS3 may be the better way to go.

Mass Effect and Gears of War sound like a great deal here. Just don't know if I should get Burnout Paradise as the 3rd game here or maybe Marvel Ultimate Alliance.
