Wombat, my goddamn mailman doesn't even try to deliver my packages sometimes he doesnt even leave a notice that he "tried" its happened like 5 times in the last year and I've been home every time this happened. I called USPS and complained and it made NO difference.

Wombat, I'm pretty sure HDMI cables have to be the same on both ends. I think Nintendo's console will have 2 outputs like PS3/360, one for HDMI and one for composite/component. But if you have the Wii component cables they'll probably work on WiiHD because they just changed the cables with Wii. From SNES to GC, all of their cable outputs were the same.

And Wombat, thank you for calling WiiHD "Weed." I've been calling it that since before the Wii launched.

Wombat, in my area the Postal worker that does the mail and packages are different. The regular mail comes in those boxy little trucks and the package person comes in a van. That might help you distinguish between the two postal workers if you go with Cheapys plan.

It might not work though because the package person may already think you live at the other house due to habit. I would call USPS and maybe even complain in person, because 5 times is a lot. You're lucky your neighbor down the street is honest and you got your packages.

Sorry Cheapy, but I don't think your offspring (i.e. Tai) will be able to grab the stone out of the Buddhist teacher's hand . . . . . unless he inherited some Shinobi-esk skills from his mother.

Wombat, thanks for the quick lesson on Matzoh! As a gentile, it's interesting the hear the history of why this is associated with Passover.

Glad to see Need for Speed Shift 2 getting some love. It seems to have been over looked a good bit by most podcasts. I like Shipwreck only have one buddy who is playing it at the moment. So if you guys want another list on autolog send me a request on XBL squ1shy.

Yeah, I think HDMI is owned and licensed for use. I'm quite sure part of that licensing does not include being able to make one end proprietary. I doubt Nintendo will be able to screw with their HDMI cable.

Yeah if you could modify a HDMI cable Microsoft would have done it already. They are the kings of over charging for accessories (See Hard Drive, Controllers, and memory cards pre-USB update).

I got a Zune 120GB as a gift earlier last week and I really enjoy it. I now own both the Iphone, Zune, and a older model of an Ipod. I enjoy the Zune very much I like how it has the ability to listen to radio on and the screen is way better then on the Iphone or any other cell phone/media device that I have had hands on with. Music videos and movies look amazing on the Zune. I still use my Iphone as a phone (obviously) and for apps. If Zune had apps then it would be amazing...

Gay as a pejorative Womabt, really? Haha, I'm not mad at you though, because you guys are always very human about this sort of thing, and called yourself out on it, which is fairly refreshing. Kobe you are not.

Really, really happy to Have Ship back and in good health. He really is one of the most informed no-nonsense reviewers who plays games and doesn't hate them. It's a pleasure to hear him talk about games.

if you watch any part of the jackass 3 movie watch the bam amrgera snake pit prank. the guy fucking damn near cries because hes so scared of snakes and they drop him in a pit with a bunch or fake and real ones.

So close! If you had named the episode "In The Matzoh Madness" you would have had extra win. In the Mouth of Madness is one of John Carpenter's most underated films and clear insiration for Allen Wake and Silent Hill.

I am not Jewish but grew up in a Jewish neighborhood. Hearing the Matzoh talk brought back memories of the grocery store where I worked as a youth. Matzoh, schav and borscht. Good times. . . .

I honestly felt and still feel very guilty for saying it. But you are right I am no Kobe.

3DS has 3d parental control. Anyone with a young kid and a 3ds would know that. Well almost anyone. ;)

And when is the last time you guys picked up a Wii controller? :)

Go dust it off. You'll see an analog stick, dpad, 4 main buttons and 4 lesser buttons along with a home button. That's in addition to......drum roll please........... motion control.

Also what was the last Wii game you guys played? WiiSports? Almost none of Nintendo's games use just motion control. The control in most is actually pretty darn traditional. Motion Control in most Wii games is more like Rumble is to games. It's used where it makes sense in the developer's eyes to enhance the experience.

The main method of control in most of Nintendo's Wii games are buttons, dpad and analog stick.

Yes analog stick, singular. Two analog sticks and I'm sold. Using the Wiimote as a 2nd analog isn't for me. Just my opinion.

No, Wombat, you are not "weary" of a game you have never played. You may be wary, and you may be leery, but you are not "weary." That means something entirely different.

I like how these killings at gilgo are the biggest thing in ny but, the big headline in other places is the planes crashing

They can always pop a 2nd stick on there. They added one to the 3ds. I mean they should further refine the design. Button placement can be better for example.

But the fact is pointing technology > analog stick for shooting things. Much more fun. And half the clunk.

Here I was thinking Wombat was talking about a new Yaris game... Today I found out on the Xbox dashboard it was Yars... I couldn't understand why people were so excited about it... T-O-P-L-E-S-S... TOPLESS!

Mail carriers make mistakes, Wombat. Sometimes it's due to the sorting facility bundling the mail incorrectly, so it may not be the driver's fault at all. You might as well just report him since you're a douchebag.

Clash of Heroes is a strategy RPG that takes a good 30 hours to beat, which was well worth $15 ($12 with PS+) for me. I don't see the similarity to chess.

Cheapy should've congratulate himself for winning best trading website.

Doesn't Shift 2 have two cockpit views? The one Ship described and the normal one that they had in the first game.

Wombat can't handle losing in the analyst prediction competition, so he just tries to minimize it by saying he would've won if digital sales counted.

Unless I missed something, Sony didn't get any IP information. It was just the lawyers to help determine whether the suit should be held in California or not, though understanding basic logic is probably too much to expect from them.

I'm sure this Ubisoft Kinect fighting game will do better than their last Kinect fighting game.

Shipwreck, go watch the LA Noire trailers (This & This) where they show you exactly how the case stuff works that seems like a major aspect of the game. Those trailers are what convinced that it'll be quite different than RDR and GTA, but I'll probably just Gamefly the game now as a result so I'm not directly supporting their shitty pre-order strategy.

Rockstar plans on selling the LA Noire pre-order bonuses as DLC and are promising that it'll happen sooner than the Red Dead DLC that just came out this week.

Decent show. I preferred the quicker pace of last week's show to the slower pace this week. Last week's show felt like it was over early at 66 minutes while this week's show felt like it was longer than just 83 minutes. You've done the three-man show at an hour long before, so I think you guys should give it a shot for a few shows to see how it works for you.

The current link dump is far too inadequate for what is actually discussed on the show and does a huge disservice to the people that want to be more informed about those topics. You talk about more news than is listed in the OP and just causes people like the one a few posts up to ask for more details. Then there are the games you talk about in-depth but only mention the name once at the very beginning, so they need to be listed so those of us that miss the name don't need to listen multiple times to figure that out. Finally, there are just the random websites you talk about that also need to be linked because of the large amount of people that can't tell how Raptr is spelled from an audio aspect. As it is, the link dump is a disappointment.

Wombat

I am a mailman and you have to remember that it is a 6 day job and 1 day a week we are off and it rotates and you have a "sub" carrier that does your route. sometimes routes do not have subs so it is broken up into 4 or 5 parts for overtime for other carriers.

I admit there is ZERO excuse for what you are experiencing, I am a union shop steward and have to deal with stupid carriers that do just this sort of thing. one side of the street is ODD one is EVEN, it isn't rocket science really.

You have every right to be upset and complain, there is even a form online at USPS.com to file a delivery concern issue. If you do it will go to the carriers supervisor and most likely they will create what is called something like a frequent mis-delivery card to tell people to pay attention when they deliver that mail.

Another thought would be to call your post office early in the morning. Carriers are usually in the office casing mail for a couple hours and if you call many times you can actually speak to your carrier and tell them the problem. They will probably say if it happens randomly it is on their off day, or you may be one of the unfortunate people who have no regular carrier. They haven't hired in years and have many routes that just sit there everyday and get pivoted out for overtime. I hope I helped let me know if you have any other questions, I would be happy to do whatever I can do to inform you.

I hope this isn't your carrier though Wombat....... He left a "special" present for his customer.....

Great show guys! Probably the best in months.

Cheapy Headroom - MAKE THIS HAPPEN SHIPWRECK

And big LOL at Epic 8 bit Sax

At least you didn't play the 12 min version like Gaming Jesus did a few weeks ago.

The person who delivers packages and the person who delivers regular mail are probably two different people, if LI is anything like Brooklyn.

And you should give the present to the neighbor who gives you back your packages.

Yep, every time I get something that has to be signed for .... delivery slip in the mailbox, pick it up at the PO next day. Mailman doesn't even get out of the truck to check if anyone is home. And this is a neighborhood where probably 75% of houses have someone home during the day.
wombat please stop cutting off shipwreck its annoying and unprofessional
Ship, being a Mid-Westerner talks with lots of little pauses; any NYer will talk over you if you do that because it seems like you are done.

Shipwreck: when you get a pre-release and it's a game you don't want to play why not send it to others as a contest? Maybe cheapy could match the idea and buy games like that and send to another listener under the condition they write reviews. then you guys could read and compare the reviews and post on the front page! I think its a good idea

Topless!

I love Stern show references in the CAGcast. It's like mixing peanut butter with chocolate.
Glad to hear some more Enslaved props. One of the best games of 2010.
Yessss. If it weren't for Mass Effect 2 coming out in 2010 Enslaved would have gotten my vote for Game of the Year.

Listened to the whole cast and, for the life of me, couldn't remember one damn thing you guys talked about except Wombat's asshole postal carrier dilemma.

And as for the postal-man asshattery. You gotta report that shit to the postmaster. If it's happening to you then it's probably happening to others as well, but no one will ever know unless you report it. You can't put it off until important shit starts to just get lost. You hear every once and a while about weird carriers who don't get caught stealing and hoarding mail for years - all because nobody decides to just go to the PO and complain.

Oh btw - I nearly spit my coffee out at the end of the show when Wombat whispered "breads done" and then Shipwreck whispered "why is it so flat?"

Shipwreck,

Manischewitz, which is the largest kosher brand in the US, was founded in Cincinnati. There have been someone in that area that they served over the past 100 years.

weve had about 5 carriers in my 14 years do just that, at least when you complain it puts that carrier on the radar to watch. There is nothing that upsets me more than people stealing from the job i work at everyday.

You guys act like all those extra missions aren't going to come out as DLC for everyone to download in 6 months maybe less. Even still they'd probably have a "complete" pack with all the cases and DLC (and you know there will be some since its case by case game play) all for $30.

Patience has saved me the most money I've ever saved on video-games. I might not play some games for a year after they come out, but I'll get them cheaper and get everything that everyone else had to pay more for or wait for. It's nice.

Oh man, Cheapy, your matzo balls between Jews legs comment made me laugh harder than any CAGcast joke thus far. And I'm Jewish btw.

One question for next week? What would you each say is your FAVORITE video game genre? You have been playing alot of racing games it seems while Wombat plays 'who knows what' and Shipwreck plays everything... but what's the FAVE GENRE regardless of console?
