Preorder Skylanders Adventure Pack Empire of Ice walmart.com
Preordering something for full price is not a "deal"...
Its a deal when people are charging $70+ on ebay for them. Someone made a post about the figures being instock on amazon and thats not a "deal" but when tons of people are looking for them at reg price ill post it here. THanks for the reply

It appears some people have these on hand and are selling them early.

Last night I saw a seller on eBay saying he got one from Walmart in the description. There are still plenty more listings on eBay and they seem to be going for about $80ish.

I have spent about 40 this week on figures alone. I have the other 2 adventure packs I will get this one some time also.

Ignore him. These are obviously a hot item so any heads up on stores stocking/shipping them is welcomed in my book.

Agreed.

We love Skylanders! I really hope this pack is longer than a level..the fun has kind of died off, and that makes me sad. Went crazy and bought all the figures within a month, now its a fact you cannot find ANY on store shelves..

The pirate seas adventure pack is also available for "preorder". Maybe Walmart hasn't gotten that one yet.

Thanks for the post OP I'm going to wait for Amazon to put it up though.

Ordered one for my kids... even though the pirate level was disappointingly short... (although the buggy treaure chest that kept throwing out money was nice for them)

If they want the 3rd action pack, they can buy it themselves... Dad's wallet is now closed...

Looks like this is at retail already. I went to Best Buy at lunch and they had 3-4 of these Ice three packs, some of the pirate adventure packs and several other three packs, as well as individual figures. Looks like retailers are getting plenty of restock.

Your the second CA person I have heard say that today. Wonder if it is moving west to east. I havent heard any east people say if they have found one yet. A few Best Buys around me sya they have singles in stock now from 0 this morning so I might go hit them up tonight.

Thanks for the thread OP. My walmarts here are completely out of all figures except drill Sargents, and I missed out on the preorders on the other figures the other day from amazon. It'll be hard to find for me, so ignore people complaining about the thread.

Just an fyi, I found an Empire of Ice adventure pack at a best buy in Raleigh, NC today, so they are showing up on the east coast too.
Are any of you seeing restocks of single figures yet?
Saw some in NY today. Some old figures, and those that showed up during the Christmas time. Didn't see anything new, though.

thanks for the info, that about 60 miles from me.

In Ohio here, and grabbed an Empire of Ice at Walmart. They seemed to have lots of adventure packs but still a very thin selection of individual figures. Anybody here found a Cynder or Double Trouble, and if so, where?

Pre-ordered earlier and ended up finding one at Best Buy after work. They got two of each Adventure pack and a half dozen singles.

This was in Louisville @ St. Matthew's location. However I grabbed the last EoI set.

After a couple weeks searching, my local TRU (Tustin, CA) restocked and had a ton of figures today. Nothing I was looking for, but they had several Hex, Bash, DinoRang, Zap, and a few others that slipped my mind.
A good selection of the 3 packs also. Hopefully "the Skylander Drought" is coming to an end.

Just got back from 2 different Walmarts and they had the same. Tons of Hex Boomer, Wrecking Ball, Zap and Dino-Rang. I still need a wind and leaf damnit lol.

I also stopped at Best buy and they had the Empire of Ice much to my suprise. Not a bad day lol

My brother found the new Ice Adventure Pack at Best Buy, and me and my nephew finished it today. Slam Bam is a good character, with a nice melee and semi-ranged attack, much like Prism Break's crystal shards. He is slow, but has high attack and defense...85 for both I think.

Fun game, and much like others have said...even though it was obviously made for kids, it is enjoyable for adults as well.

I am wondering when the copycat games will come out...with the hybrid action figure/virtual in game character? Some might be awesome, if implemented as well as Skylanders. Imagine Transformers, or GI Joe? Marvel Super Heroes? Star Wars!?

Gawd PLEASE NO...no more pokemon spinoffs...i just want marvel/disney to take a thing or two from this idea and release every single marvel character so i can fill my house with them :whistle2:D and they can make the equivalent of the portal something like the "cerebro" room platform...just a thought

I totaly agree but Im just saying why did nintendo do something like this years ago with pokemon. Would have made a ton more money. Would love to see a game with marvel like this. Maybe a UA game or something.

My Kmart (Central IL) had a restock of packs and individual figures...something they didn't have pre-Christmas.

Granted, I have no clue what they have/what's available. I don't play the game or collect the figures. I just stopped and saw a huge display filled to the brim.

I would kinda like to play this with my nephews...but I'm not dropping the cash on it anytime soon.

Skylanders looks like a game I'd enjoy a lot, but it also looks like a fucking ridiculous cash-sink, especially if we're dealing with scalpers and crap already. I'm pretty torn on it.

Definitely a tough sell at this point. It was the best/worst gift I bought for my girlfriend's kids, seeing as they love the game, but it sucks that they want to traverse more of the game world with other elemental figures, and we've had no luck finding them restocked anywhere!

Here's to hoping they start flooding the shelves with more figures because the scalping is getting really out of hand with these.

They'll become easier to find without question, I just don't necessarily want to invest in it and then end up having certain figures becoming impossible to find again. I'd be more interested in just buying an entire set on eBay later. Or, quite frankly, foregoing the figure thing entirely. I just want to play the game.

Then again, I have no self-control and very well may just end up buying it anyway. *shrug*

I don't know if Activision did this on purpose because they didn't know if the game was going to Tank or not. Up to a few weeks before Christmas they were easily available, your lucky to find anything now. Resellers are making it harder for people but you can't put all the blame on them when people are buying them at those outrageous prices.

Too true. They wouldn't be at those crazy markups if there weren't people paying for them!

I gotta say though, it is a simple, but fun title. Definitely a "fun for all ages" game, especially when playing co-op.

I don't think it was intentional at all. I'd say the bulk of parents bought it for Christmas not knowing if their kid would even like the game. Who would drop a couple c-notes on all the figures/adventure packs not knowing if the game is any good?

HeroClix?

The Skylanders thing just makes me mad. Anytime there's a rush for any new toy and people swarm in and buy them all and try to gouge us as third party sellers.

I bought my son a few characters and the game for Christmas but I had to guess what he might want and what might be good. Now I can't find anything.

People suck. I believe in the free market and all but come on, greasy fat toads camping out in the aisle grabbing the entire stock. ARRRGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!

As great as that would be, we should hope that this doesn't catch on. Buying DLC is bad enough, having to buy actual toys that cost money to make just to get to the DLC?
That's a gold mine for the company and it will break our piggy banks. Plus this mad rush bull where there are no figures available and the third part raping.

Can you imagine where you can never get your favorite character without paying through the nose or scouring every store hopelessly? I'm sorry Billy, I know you really wanted to play the Spiderman 2099 part of the game, but Daddy can't find it anywhere.

Yes, Spiderman 2099 is my favorite character. Miggy!

It has caught on and you can bet your ass that when Activision does this again, the stock will not be under shipped. There is no way they would miss out on sales like they did with Skylanders.

As popular as it is, I can see people losing interest by the time stock has replenished. No way that any big publisher would make that mistake again. If anything, it will be so overstocked that it will only benefit us in the long run.

It's the combination of a staggered release with the limited supply that makes this whole thing pure genius. Can't find the figure you want? AND, there are new figures still to be released?

Just wait for Skylanders 2 where all the series 1 figures won't work, so you need another 30 or so little you DLC's.
