will nintendo refund my money on wii ware accident?

pacemakerguy

CAGiversary!
i was looking at the game lost winds and i wasn't sure to play it. while i was on the phone with my friend then he said he had to go and on accident i clicked yes to download but i didn't want it. there was no way to ccancel is i even tried to turn off the concule. and it didn't. now if i tell them that i will delete the game and i didn;t play it and it was an accident will then give me my 1000 points back
Unlikely. People would turn it into a demo system, then just call up and say "I didn't MEAN to, gim $$$."
o well i'll try plus i didn't even really play it. plus i didn't even want that agme
You have to click yes two or three times before the purchase actually goes through so that's on you.
i know but i was waiting on my friend to give me an answer to buy or not and his phone died so i went to no but hit yes on accident!

Negative.

Nintendo wouldn't even let me re-download VC games I bought on another Wii and registered and then de-registered only to follow it up with registering my new Wii. This is in spite of the fact that I registered all possible products during the GCN/GBA era along with a slew of DS and Wii games. Pure, unadulterated bullshit.

Then they'll laugh at you, then you'll come back on here crying because they won't refund you the money.

It's your fault.

Now they're definitely not going to refund your money. You played it. Good going.

They won't care if you played it for negative five seconds, you knowingly downloaded it, they aren't going to give you your money back.

It uploads a token back to Nintendo over your wifi connection that lets them know. You're never going to get your money back now.
This thread. It's going places.
I know, especially with the below quotes. I'm sure that you know what's going to happen next.
I'm wondering how in hell you can be whining about buying LostWinds.
This is an epic topic.... :applause:

On the other side, learn that you will often buy shit games. I have bought many myself and they have sure cost more than $10.

Dear Gas Company,

I accidentally over-cooked a frozen pizza in my oven, and it tasted like shit.
Please credit me for the amount of gas I used on that pizza, and the pizza itself.

Sincerely,
YOUBASTARDS

Some people manage to get their VC games transferred to their new Wii and some don't. I don't know why they do it for some people and not others. At the very least they should credit your new Wii with the amount of Wii points you used to buy the games in the first place so you can download them again.

They need a DRM tool like Microsoft is offering. Although to be fair, it took Microsoft forever to offer something.

Back on topic: You should be glad you bought LostWinds and not some other shitty WiiWare game. LW is actually a good game.

but u can trade those into gamespot or return i can't

The question I have is why do you need your friend to say yes or no? You cant decide without him or something?

Go play the game or mow a lawn. Its done.

I spent $10 on this game and didn't like it. I am not crying to mommy that I bought a game I didn't like. In fact I am happy I am supporting a publisher that didn't put out shovelware for the shop channel. Also it was TEN dollars, it's not like you wasted tons of money on this.

I have a similar problem. While I was talking to my wife on the phone I accidentally killed my son. I was charged with murder, but I am hoping everything will be alright. I'm just going to call the police and let them know I was on the phone with my wife at the time and I didn't want to kill my son, and they'll probably drop the charges.

You should be fine. This has happened to me a couple of times. I didn't want to kill them, but when I did, I only killed them a little bit and I thought the whole thing sucked. SUCKED I TELL YOU!

I'm going to call the bullet manufacturer and get my bullets back.
Youre giving New Jersey a bad name, please stop.
He's also giving Arrested Development a bad name.

how would you know if you didn't play it? if you new it was stupid, why would you click as far to actually buy it?

I'm sure that if you call and give a lot of attitude, they'll not only refund your points, but give you even more. So go forth and let Nintendo know who the boss is. Remember: if they say 'no,' that's just a sign that they want to play hardball.

This is great advice that has applications in many other facets of life. The government and underage girls are all 'in the know' for this shrewd negotiating tactic.

Bring a gun into the corporate offices in Seattle, point it to Reggie's head, and let him know who's boss.

Someone on another forum tried that when he downloaded Age of Booty even though he knew it would suck and told himself beforehand repeatedly not to download it. Well, long story short, his friend gave him a call when he was messing around in the menus. He clicked download -> yes, are you sure?->yes, click to begin download and finalize transaction->click, agree to terms->yes. Before he knew it the game was downloading and there was nothing he could do to stop it - INCLUDING trying to short circuit his Wii.
