All right everyone, this thread will be devoted for CAG Burnout night. Anything related to playing Burnout Paradise online, goes in this thread.

General Discussion & Info relating to Burnout, such as offline play and such go in this thread.

I might change that last thing depending on how they set BSI up. But most likely, it'll have to stand.

To let everyone know, their might be a game on Sunday before GTAIV. I'm going to look into cleaning up my buddy list a bit to make Burnout Paradise work (please, everyone do not add me if you have a few of my friends who regularly play on my list, since I'm limited on space).

I'm also hoping with this thread I can better keep track of what events need to be done still for certain people, to obtain better competition. Also, if anyone is interested in playing Burnout Paradise with other CAGs (and hosting themselves), let me know and I'll update the thread with your game (if you want me to).

Also, just for fun, if people want me to (and it's ok by both parties), I may start a collection of CAGs taken out (photos) in this thread too. Lots of plans coming to CAG Burnout night. I feel this is a perfect time to start fresh. :)
 
How exactly does online burnout work, does everyone enter the same race? or do you just take everyone down for fun. I just got the game today and haven't tried online yet, although I did see freaky win some races.
 
Basically, the world is a lobby, and the host sets up challenges and races, and people go and meet there and complete the challenges as a group. Everyone must contribute at least something to a challenge or else everyone gets nothing. You're only as strong as your weakest link after all.
 
I just got this game today so I'll probably join you guys if you play tomorrow, I think I'll be at work on the other days.

If that's the case I should get some more practice first, I can't beat any of the bike things, although I'm doing pretty well in cars, but it hasn't gotten hard yet I suspect.

What types of challenges are there?
 
Damn,I go to college from 4:30 to 7:00 every tuesday and thursday :( Hopefully I'll try to make it to the one on Sunday (Today).Lol,I have like 3 pictures of you too.

Also, I suspect everyone has to be in a car for the 8 in Wildcats trophy, but I guess we'll find out. I guess if we don't have enough we could always leave the game open.
 
ManaKnight add TheUMX to your friends. I can probably be there tonight. I don't have a mic here with me, but I'll contribute to the group the best I can.
 
It may not be a permanent add, since my list is quite full, but I'll get you added before the game so we can get this trophy and others.

I'm going to make a list of those who can be there. I want around 10-12 committing, in case something happens at the last minute. I can shift people in and out.

Not necessarily, since I got that trophy last night in a lobby full of bikes, though cars could be used. ;)
I'll still show up today, just so that I can help y'all out with getting certain trophies. :)

Yeah, I got that trophy last night; in a random lobby we worked on it... I have Platinum now so I have all the trophies. ;)

freaky: how did u unlock the 10 timed road rules trophy. i have a lot more than 10, what am i doing wrong?

Did you try with cars, or with bikes?

Press L1 + R1 while driving in any road... You'll be in showtime mode. Try hitting all the buses you see to multiply your score, and hit any cars that come your way. ;)

quite certain. my menu says i have 34 timed road rules.
 
If there's room I would like to join in..I have all bike trophies but not all challenges...I really need car online though...only thing left for me to get my platinum
 
Ohh! I know what the problem is... What you're doing is Timed Road Rules, and what you're supposed to be doing is 'Timed Challenges'. The host has to make 10 of these Timed Challenges so that you can get this trophy. :)

aha! that makes the wording of the trophy suspect. ok then ill try that.

edit: im pretty sure ive hosted 10 of these challenges, maybe i have to be the client then, not host...hmm. well whatever ill try all combos i can.
 
BTW, I don't know where my mic is so if anyone wants to ask me something while playing Burnout, please do and I'll try to help however I can. ;)

Sorry had to bail to eat. I might be back later though. But if everyone doesn't get the 8 people trophies I'll be on this game a lot so I'm sure we can get a group together down the road.

Sorry I had to leave so quickly, but my net connection kept dying, and it was driving me crazy. Plus, I had three people sitting on the couch with me that wouldn't shut up. Definitely next time, guys, if I can.
