Considering this allows you to skip tax and shipping costs, saves you about $10 if you were to buy retail. A good find. I can't decide whether to jump on this or wait it out for a while to see if it ever hits a price drop. Such a gorgeous game though...
 
Really tempted to pick this up because it seems it's gonna be rare and also got some great reviews. But I'm gonna wait to see how King of Fighters XII does and choose between them.
 
You guys convinced me to jump on it. I seriously need to stop buying games now...right after I get my SFIV TE stick that is.. =)

Well it's actually the $60 standard now. It just won't be in a month. Recommended if you liked guilty gear. If you're on the fence, buy gg accent core plus for half the price or less. If you can't stand it, pass. If you want more, you know where to find it
 
ordered one, thanks! I have feeling it's gonna be rare later on. PS3 version sold out on Gamestop and Amazon and Best Buy already and they're not getting more I don't think
 
Wow.. gone.. just like every deal I post.. I.E. $249 60GB. Sony PS3... I posted a trade flip that may work for some on some higher-dollar items at amazon.

Both versions are exactly the same, right? Why is the PS3 version selling out (it's the same way on Buy.com)? It's still available on the 360.

The only difference is that the bonus disk for the PS3 version is in HD and the 360 version is SD. I'm guessing that it's sold out on the PS3 because that platform has more Japanese/anime game freaks.
 
I found an article about why the PS3 version is selling a lot more than the 360 version. The three biggest possibilities are that 1) the PS3 controller is better for these games, namely because of the D-pad, 2) remote play, 3) no region coding, or 4) because this game is huge in Japan and most Japanese gamers have PS3s.
 
Yeah normal editions are shipping out on 7/28 for PS3 and 360. So I'm assuming they aren't making anymore LEs in the future.
 
I got confirm email that i was charged for the 360 one. The 360 version seems to still be in stock. I was kinda tempted to order a PS3 one too but didn't. excellent price

Also, what's Newegg's difference between the Limited Edition (PS3) and the Premium Pack (360)?
 
Since these are "limited edition," does that mean when stores run out of stock they aren't getting new ones? Buy.com and Deep Discount have this game on backorder but you can order it anyway, but I wonder if they'll ship out the version that comes out at the end of this month.
 
Yes, once the LEs are all sold out everywhere, there won't be anymore.

The copies coming at the end of the month are the normal editions.
 
Yeah well don't wanna repeat myself but basically they are shipping out standard editions by the end of the month so that tells you how many LE's there should be - especially they are the same price.
 
Oof, I missed it! Albeit, I'm not sure a fighting game would of been worth it anyways. They never hold my attention.

Anyone know where I can find a converter to play 360 games using a PS3 controller?
 
For all the people that can't decide to buy this or not, I suggest you do. I am really impressed by this game so far, the only thing thats dissapointing is the story which is very typical and understandable for fighting games.

I did some searching and I've seen people refer to the LE as both Premium and LE, so I think the 360 version is indeed the Limited Edition--it just doesn't have the correct picture. Also, on gamestop.com it states the regular version won't ship until the 28th, so I don't believe anyone actually has the regular version of the game yet, as they were looking to sell out the Limited Editions before resupplying with normal versions.

Had me worried there for a moment...but I'll keep my 360 version ordered. Only thing I wish I had from the PS3 version was the BluRay DVD extra, but no big deal.

Edit: To respond to the post above, mine has also been charged, and will probably ship out Monday it being the weekend.
 
Got a very slightly used limited edition at Gamestop the other day for $35. If you're lucky, I think the 20 percent off coupon is the way to go right now.
 
Picked up the last PS3 version at the Gamestop closest to me (though according to their website a few other stores nearby still have them in stock). Kinda wished I would have preordered for the bonus artbook, but oh well.

I have a suspicion that all stores that are "backordered" but still taking your order will fill them with the regular edition that's coming out. But that's just what my gut is telling me.
