and here for the details/FAQ

If you're a caregiver of a child you can get 3 months of Prime for free. This will not stack on top of an existing Prime account, but it will give you the choice to switch to this offer instead and you'll receive a prorated refund on your existing prime account if you choose to switch to this.

Also "for each $25 you spend within a single order in the Baby store, we’ll grant you an additional month of Amazon Prime shipping benefits. You can earn up to one year from the date you joined Amazon Mom."

Your 3 months of Prime will not auto renew so you don't have to worry about being charged at any time.

Hmmm, caregiver...I think I give a lot of care. Thanks for prime. = D

Too bad I have to ship it to my sister, because prime does nothing for Alaska.
from what i have read its hit and miss for people

Didn't work for me :(. I had a few trials within last year though
Ok thanks I updated the first post to mention some are having issues with it.
Didn't work for me also.
Are you currently or have you previously been a Prime member? Just trying to figure out why it isn't working for some.

I read the terms of the Amazon "Mom" membership. The prime trial for 3 months DOES NOT auto-renew. Good news if you were looking for that "turn off auto-renew" button like me.

I had a Prime trial that expired just after black friday last year. Just signed up and it worked flawlessly.

THANKS for posting! Finally a Amazon Prime promo I qualified for. Will really be helpful this black friday. :D

I feel your pain, I pay sales tax on Amazon as well. I'd buy everything from them if no tax were involved.
Students get a full year free and caregivers only get 3 months? Poor caregivers :*(
For real! Who needs it more the college kids or the people paying for the college kids?
If you're not a child's caregiver and you use to get free Prime, shame on you.
Yeah I may abuse any glitch I see and so on but that would be too low even for me. Thankfully I babysat for this one family one day in February so obviously I am a caregiver. I even bought the little brat a candy bar. Now that is some care giving shit. I only bought it for him because he threatened to tell his parents I was drinking their beer and had someone over but those are just details. The fact remains.

And yeah thats completely made up.

Thanks OP! ;) It worked for me too, and I've had the "free trial membership" offer that was listed here in the past at CAG as well.
When are they gonna give free Prime to the people that REALLY need it?
Well theyve done a year for students and now at least 3 months for parents/caregivers. Keep your hopes up, I bet they'll get to the mentally handicapped soon enough.

Sorry ;)

where does it say it doesnt auto renew? i was looking for the button too just in case...

nevermind found it ^___^

any idea how long this offer will last? was hoping to start using Prime so that it covers the entire last quarter of the year instead of starting now...

Got this AmazonMom membership, but Amazon Prime didnt work. I havent had the trial in over a year, probably more. Oh well, the $.99 release date is still a good deal.

I signed up and was accepted got the email from Amazon saying I Amazon Mom whatever. Although added a item to my cart and I am not showing the free Prime shipping?

i still havnt called toys r us for that becoming us magazine and the 25gc. maybe i will try for this but with .99 release day shipping... but i guess items under 25...
oh and i was a student for 5 years and never did this, doh

I take it back, it did work. Just took about 30 minutes to update.

Thanks OP. Spend $25 in the baby shop for 1 additional month of prime (up to 1 yr) with Christmas a few months away. Thanks amazon for a year of prime. :)

Hell, I just graduated, still have my year of student Amazon Prime. Maybe I'll have my wife sign up for this so she can have her own Prime account since we also have twin two-year olds. By the end of the 3rd month, She'd have Prime for a year as well, just in Diaper purchases.

And for all the other CAG's with young ones out there. If you use Subscribe and Save with your Amazon Mom account, you save 30% on Diapers. Big boxes that cost 40 + tax at Walmart come out to be about $30 on here. It's quite nice with two day shipping.

My fully paid year subscription was due to expire in October, but because of this - now it's good til early December! Thanks for the notice OP!

This is incredibly awesome - worked just fine for me! And I couldn't be more legit (have a 6 month old and a 3 year old in addition to 3 older kids).

I was just about to pay up to rejoin as I couldn't stand the slow-ass shipping (I ordered something nearly 2 weeks ago via FSSS and have yet to get it). My regular paid Prime just ran out about a month and a half ago and I was holding off on renewing it until closer to when all the big games come out.

I was also just about to buy a $200 car seat on Amazon. I actually should have done it a few weeks ago because the price is up a bit - but if I get 8 months added on because of that then it was well worth it!

The question is, do I sign my wife up the same way, or simply share my membership with her and save her potential sign-up for later when this one runs out? Yeah, I think the latter (though if this promo gets abused as much as I think it will, then it probably won't still be offered in 3+ months anyway).

And I guess I'll have to check out the diaper purchasing too - we never bothered with Amazon for those before because we could always get them cheaper in various stores using sales/coupons. But 30% off might make it worthwhile... (Edit: not so great as it requires you to "subscribe" to them - as in, get them sent automatically at a set interval).

Edit: it seems some people may have been having trouble signing up so I'll just give my info in more detail. I've had this account for a few years, but just had Prime for a year and it ran out a month or so ago. Previously, I had never used a 1 month trial. Not sure what makes it work or not work but there you go...

Awesome. Thanks OP. I've never had Prime, with the exception of a one-month trial a while back, but this is sweet. If I buy diapers exclusively from Amazon, I can hit that $25 mark a month too, and keep getting more months added on.

Between this and WIC, having a daughter is starting to pay off. Free cereal and shipping?! Thanks!
Will we have to cancel this? Will it auto renew and charge us after 3 months?
No you shouldnt have to cancel it. It won't auto renew.

Nice! This is a great find. .97 cents release day was awesome and this is even better. I will be placing some diaper orders too...looks like the price is better than Sam's Club (which is currently wanting their $40 to renew...sorry!).

BTW, prime does look like it worked for me. I have completed a trial (or two?) in the past, but not sure how long ago that was.

joined my older sister has an head injury and lives at home so i would say my partents i split my prime with is a Caregiver ....

I was refunded 66.36 for the prime i had .... amazon will get that credit back though and then some when i rejoin prime on DEC 8

I thought it was based on months left..

Joined JULY 26 at 79 bucks

they kept 12.64... i figured 1 month and 2 weeks

79/12 = 6.58 per month + half month 3.29 = 9.58

o well of the 3 times they up my 2 day shipping to 1 day for free it makes up for it :)

Im shocked they did this .. Day after thanksgiving items will really fly now with everyone haveing free prime
