This is not the thread we were looking for.....

Points at the sign for an over-exaggerated amount of time.....

Laurinaitis' stoic face during that GTS made me slap my forehead.

Only Hogan's leg drop is worse than the GTS as a finisher. Then again after watching that gif about 20x maybe it's not.

Edit: On second thought, that new dude in the red outfit that dances may have the worst finisher. Sorry, can't think of his name, only saw a clip. Anyway, it's a cross body block?

Well, on the bright side, at least WWE is consistent. Two feuds. Two rebels fighting 'the boss'. Two bosses who, in the pivotal moment where the rebel finally gets their hands on them, manage to ruin the clip with poor selling.

This, of course, was the gritty reboot... Johnny Ace undersold the GTS about as much as Vince oversold the Stunner. See, it's *totally different*.

I thought it was a decent show. I wasn't fond of seeing Ryder get destroyed [again], but to have Eve crap on John "I know what I'm doing. Please like me." Cena made up for it. That may be the first time Eve did something right (unless she had her boobs done then bravo. For some reason they looked bigger last night).

Shhhh. Jericho's talking. Easily my favorite part of Raw. Is his "end of the world" line a reference to Punk's "best in the world" claim or something more? Oh who am I kidding, I bet they make Jericho the father of Kharma Kong's kid (hence the children in the hype videos).

I won't lie. I'm tempted to buy the new R Truth shirt. I wish he was this entertaining during his K Quik days.

If I am not mistaken, didn't he do all of those antics because Hogan acted like the bitch he is and refused to job to him, so he decided to make a mockery of the match?

Planking: you're doing it wrong.

Some guy posted a video on twitter showing a new remake of WWE Wrestlefest and THQ asked him to take it down. I didnt see it myself but people are posting its made for the iOS platform (iPhone and iPad) and a list (not sure if it was confirmed) of superstars include:

Taker, Rock, Orton, HBK, Sheamus, HHH, CM Punk, Rey Mysterio, Jake the Snake Roberts, Macho Man, Austin, Cena, Bossman. Roster is rumored to be around 30 superstars.

Unprettier/Killswitch says "hi."

I'm not a big fan of the brain/face/head chop Khali used. Or Big Show's knockout punch thing. Those are pretty bad and I'd put them up there with the leg drop.

The Worm and The Pounce are also awful, as was the Samoan Spike. I forgive The Cobra, as Santino is a joke character...which means in theory I should forgive The Worm, but Scotty 2 Hotty sucked.

I HATE Wasteland as a finisher. When you make the Alabama Slam look good, you've got problems.

Also, I want to outlaw the Chokelslam for forever, as well as anyone doing the spear that isn't Rhyno.

Remember when Johnny Ace told and Andy Levine he'd never make it in wrestling because he couldn't sell properly? He was speaking from experience.

Something tells me you wouldn't let either of those guys punch you in the head.

I think Big Show's punch is fantastic.

It's believable.
It can be done to guys of any size (and because Big Show is bigger than anyone, it looks even more believable).
It is relatively safe.
It doesn't require an elaborate setup.

I think of it as Big Show's version of Sweet Chin Music.

Something tells me that I'm not a professional wrestler either. Seeing as how they usually get hit with fists and feet and the like in the head on a somewhat nightly basis and that I don't, I'm partial to agree. Doesn't mean I have to like it.

Fair enough. I just think it's an incredibly dull and boring finish when it's use.

The thing about Shawn overselling against Hogan is that it wasn't too different from his early heel work. It's also exactly how Mr. Perfect used to sell.

Good, fuck Hogan. Biggest whore in professional wrestling and that's not the problem but rather the fact that he thinks he's Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman but really he's that sad tranny that keeps getting picked up on every episode of COPS.

You want proof...

We'll just call that the gummer special.

People always fail to notice that Hogan gets him back immediately after by playing to the crowd for an eternity before dropping the leg, making him lay there. It's like Hogan said "You want to oversell? Fine, you're going to REALLY oversell now." You can see the annoyance on Michaels' face wile he's laying there.

fuck both of those guys from a professionalism perspective. HBK acting like he was going to mess up the WM14 match with Austin before Taker set him straight, and blowing a gasket at Vader in the middle of their Summerslam match = fuck Shawn Michaels. I was glad to see Hogan one-up him and seeing how bitter Michaels was the next night was glorious.

Figures that as soon as we have a thread mentioning WWE's Twitter obsession that Vince randomly changes his mind and it suddenly didn't exist on Monday.

Also, HOLY fuck IT'S WRESTLEFEST. Sadly it won't be the same without Mike McGuirk declaring "DEMOLITION is the king of Royal Rumble!" when you win a Royal Rumble with Smash or Crush.

Helms is FAR too bitter and immature for me to ever take him seriously. Burning bridges and talking trash are not the traits of a true professional, therefore losing my respect.

UGH.. iphone game. I don't have anything that I could play it on. Wonder if it could be ported to Xbla also?

I didn't know HBK whined about the finish for the Tatanka match at 'Mania. He was supposed to drop the belt but ended the match early on a countout to keep his title.

"Yeah, fuck that mother fucker man, i was about to beat his ass and roll the fuck out man."

In other news, I didn't know Helms thought he was black... or hard.. or a gangsta.. or tough.

*rimshot*

I haven't bought an iOS game in idon'tknow how long on account of in-app purchases being the newest dance craze. Sure, buy a title for free or 99¢, and then every time you want to open a new level or add a new character, wham! $1.99.

I'm also skeptical that the feel of the original can be recreated (or improved upon). Branded iOS games are typically cheap cash-ins. It's the NES all over again, only a la carte.

Randy Orton has a match on Smackdown this week. Should WWE have promoted RR as "WITNESS THE RETURN OF RANDY ORTON!" and held him off of their programming entirely until Sunday? Why waste his return the way they did?

Okay, so Micheals can't hunt because he's rich? That makes him a hypocrite? I stopped watching after that comment because my head began to hurt and I am far too tired today to give two shits.

EDIT: For some reason I see HBK being in Ted Nugent's corner if he ever had a match at WM.

I think people who hunt for sport are assholes. Just my opinion.

That's every wrestler who does a shoot interview.

There are few people in between for certain. You have a lot of people who think they were the greatest of all time, they deserved a run with the belt, a WM main event, etc. Paul Roma and Tom Zenk are among the worst offenders, but they have a lot of company in that room.

Then you have the "maybe I got one more run" people who are clearly kissing McMahon's ass and/or angling for a WWE contract as a Sooperstar or agent.

That's why Bad News Brown's shoot remains, to me, the most refreshing and enjoyable. He seems like an amiable guy with little to no bitterness and little to no bullshit.

Was there an additional Helms/HBK shoot after that one?

Like someone already mentioned, I sort of zoned out when Helms' 'go-to' thing seemed to be the hunting. I'm an HBK mark, so I'm a little biased, but if you're trying to convince me that HBK's Christian thing is all a front because he 1) Hunts for sport 2) Cussed out Chris Jericho once in catering and 3) Did a lot of drugs before his (awakening? rebirth? conversion I have no fucking clue what they call it)... well, I need something a little more substantial than any of that. Helms is acting like HBK is nothing more than Reg Mackworthy (Eastbound & Down), which doesn't really ring true to me.

As a sidenote... that video? Jesus, those are the last three guys I'd ever want to hang out with. Ever. Holy shit. How far gone does your life to have to be that you're spending time kissing Gregory Helms' ass? In fairness, I'm sure every wrestler has his fair share of sycophants, but surely you can aim higher than Gregory Helms, right?

... oh, and he, uh, compared Jeff Hardy to HBK, right? That happened?

I wouldn't doubt that Shawn is still a jerk, but then again Helms once assaulted someone with a frozen water bottle so...

The best shoots for me are always the ones where random agendas/stories pop up. I still don't know why Jake Roberts hates Chris Jericho so much. Sid said two or three years ago that he wanted to return to SmackDown and hold that show's top belt for two years. Eddie Guerrero recounts the time where he heard Paul Orndorff's flip flops smacking against Vader's head.
