There's a bunch of games going free, presumably in celebration of the App Store's 5th year anniversary. Here's the games known to be free so far. All of them are universal except Tiny Wings

You can redeem the games by downloading them directly from your iOS device, or using iTunes if you don't have a device but want to claim these games for the future

This has been the craziest coincidence, I ordered my first Ipad finally and found a deal for a free $10 Itunes card and now free games ta boot. I haven't been this mediocrely happy since I got my 2nd PS3 and had 14 games right out of the box with PS+.

 
well that's a little depressing since i bought badland few weeks ago only if i knew it was gonna be free would of waited awesome game though

Wow, what timing. I just put Badland in my wish list. Fantastic selection though. Sword & Sworcery is worth anything those guys ask for.

 
I'm surprised that Infinity Blade hasn't been released for Android yet.

Congrats on the iPad. I consider them an investment. Say what you will about Apple, but they've got the Smartphone/Tablet market down pat. They may not be as customizable as android, but after messing around with both of them, iOS is so much more fluid and I prefer the apps on them. I do like the direction of Android, and the openness of its platform on the phones, but IMO nothing touches an iPad on tablets.

That's what makes me never want to buy anything on the app store. Everything I pay for when it's on sale for a dollar ends up free a week to two later.

 
Nice! Dowloaded Badlands and Tiny Wings.

Was excited about IB2, but reading some of the more negative reviews has me hesitating. It sounds like there is copious amounts of grinding and you just hit a wall toward the end. Apparently, you can only sell items that you've mastered. Even then, for small amounts of gold.

Not sure I want to waste the bandwidth on it (only have 50GB/month).
 
Grabbed Badland and Tiny Wings for my phone. Not enough space, or I would've snapped up IB2 (already got the first one for free awhile ago). Already picked up SuperBrothers from a Humble Bundle also. Thanks OP.

Just a note that Sentinel 3: Homeworld is still showing as $2.99 not free....

It links to AppSnatcher, which seems to be keeping up with all the sales pretty well, especially if you're interested in some of the non-game apps that are also being made free for the anniversary like Traktor DJ that dropped from $19.99.

You can always get it and just immediately stop it from downloading. That way, if you want to give it a go in the future, you can still download it for free.

 
SO glad I broke down and bought Infinity Blade 2 last week only to find that it's free now. That must be the reason it's free. You're welcome everyone.

 
Everyone cracks me up whining about how they're mad these apps just went free. Pro tip: everything goes on sale if you wait long enough. Or......you can just buy a game and enjoy it no matter what happens.

My favorite of the apps is "Over". A very cool app if you take a lot of pictures.
