No new info but so far the game looks great.
I doubt itll look this good. Just like when Chaos Theory had those rendered screens before it came out.
no way. chaos theory looked awesome. on the xbox. this has a few months to go and is on a blooming 360

I can't wait for this game!

Is it still set to come out in September? I can't believe Ubi would release RS: Vegas and this in the same month though :whistle2:k

Egm said they took out shock gun and elbow crush from the spies in multiplayer. They also said the enemies are still pretty dumb. Multiplayer was fun in 2, 3 but i always found it hard

This game look freaking amazing. I think the screens are legit. To be honest the graphics don't look THAT much better than Chaos Theory. Of course Chaos Theory's graphics were 360 calliber on the Xbox.

I love the idea of Sam Fisher going on the wrong side of the law. The series needed a fresh element after the first 3 amazing games.
New multiplayer screens:
That's crazy. I always liked multiplayer but I found out to be horrible at it. Wish they have a bot option to practice.

Screens look pretty but I always sucked at Stealth games. I guess I don't have the patience. Hitman even annoyed me when I rented it....still looks interesting though.

Those Multi-screens =

Ya know what's even more  worthy though? When I think what a Splinter Cell game will look like a the end of the 360's life. Just compare the first SC to Chaos theory.

This is the one game that I only ever play single player on. Multiplayer (besides Co-Op) has always been pretty "meh". Hopefully it'll change this time around for me.

Well, UbiSoft has killed multiplayer for me. I was reading the new issue of Gamepro (it was a free subscription, don't judge me!) and they have a cover story on SC: DA. There are TWO things that bother me. I dunno if it's been posted, and I don't really care, I'm bummed out.

Numbero Uno, and this isn't a HUGE deal, but when you're a spy, you'll sometimes see a "ghost" image, showing you paths you can take. Annoying (because it's fun to find your own way), but tolerable.

Numbero Dos, and this COMPLETELY kills multiplayer for me, whenever spies move around, to balance out the gameplay, they're now outlines in a big bright white light. They even showed a picture of a spy moving in the dark.. you can't see anything except his outline. That's completely fucking lame, half the fun of being a Merc was the sense of paranoia it gave you. I really, really hope that you can turn this option off.

WTF? That would give the Mercs a HUGE advantage.

That's the Ubisoft way. They figure we're all invalids and every game has to have an outline, diamond, or some indicator that tells us where to go, shoot, or what to chase. Evidently, in the future of warfare we all get stupid. :)

Here's a picture of the picture from my phone, my digital camera sucks.. the spy with the outline is on the right. Sorry for the quality.

You can even read a bit at the bottom.. "outlined in bright white when they're in motion"

Atleast the graphics look great ;)

Appearently what Scorch was talking about was just the tutorial mode:

I just saw some recorded footage from SCDA's new versus mode and believe me COOL or AWESOME doesn't even touch the surface of my opinion about it. It's sleek. The new design is highly detailed while the gameplay is fluid and the hacking is just incredible. Whoever still has doubts about the multiplayer - oh boy you're so damn wrong. It's still Splinter Cell (only the bald version of it) and Annecy really did a more than just fine job by doing what they've done.

What you see on the left is the tutorial mode, in which ghosts will guide you through the map and show you what kind of action you can perform at specific points. In this example the player just learned where he can climb up - this is reducing the learning curve dramatically without reducing the complexity of the game. No more reading numerous lines of text inside the tutorial mode but instead you immidiately see what you can do and therefor enjoy the game even more (@Annecy: "Good idea, Daniel & Co.!").

This game is definitely going to rock! The fine motion blurr effect that obviously fades in once you jump through a window / fall down or reach a certain speed as well as the close combat (BTW: The beserk move is still in and so is the ledge grab - watch out Upsilions) and the slide - simply everything looks really fantastic. Annecy finally makes use of normal maps and their effort really pays off because you've never seen so much details on SC model before (at least not in multiplayer). I'm more than 100% sure that this is the kind of versus mode a lot of stealth fans (me included) have been waiting for since SCCT's versus! :)

I saw Ubi demo this at E3 and it was amazing the ingame play looked like it was the cutscenes. I will pick this up when it comes out.

This is the only screenshot I have at work of the game.

Not impressed either, I think I'll pass on this one. There are already too many other LE's that I'm buying (Gears of War + Smackdown vs. Raw 2007) so I couldn't possibly afford another one.
Oh man, that LE packaging is sweet! Definetly glad I spent the $70 to preorder it.
I agree! It totally captures the game's theme!!

That LE package is ugly as hell.

I wouldn't buy the game anyways, unless they got their damn heads straight and put co-op in the 360 version.

I was going to see if the play-asia one was able to play on my 360, but that case is awesome and I am a sucker for stuff like that. If the game itself sucks, I pass(Mark Echo game) but a good game I just have to get these special cases. The other extras could have been better though.
I just hope this one steps up again like the others have.

Don't like the LE packaging at all.. glad I just ordered the standard version.

The game still looks amazing though.. can't wait to play it. I never liked the multiplayer, but single player in these games is always golden. How much longer now, something like two weeks?
What the deal with this Golden Key Ticket that is in some descriptions?
Never heard of it, where did you see that?

I remember back in the good old days when the normal Splinter Cell came with all sorts of videos by guys speaking poor english, so you didn't have to buy a special edition for that crap.
