Really, do we need more attention-whoring guys running around in pink polos thinking that they're cool/preppy by going against the norm?

Why did I envision a lisp with that?

Unless it has a design on it, I don't think pink is a good color for a solid color shirt

Agreed. I don't think solid pink shirts look good, but I have no problem with pink on a shirt. Though, I don't own any myself. *shrugs*

I have nothing wrong with people wearing pink. However I don't for one main reason. I'm fat, and me wearing a big pink shirt is not a good thing. I would become a target from Drunk Drivers to snipers.

I recently saw someone wearing a suite with a pink dress shirt, it worked and looked quite nice. But the polos random people wear not so much.

I don't generally care what people wear; but the people that tend to wear those pink shirts are generally the type of people I don't like. So, I voted no.

Just depends on if each individual likes the color. If you like pink, why not wear a pink shirt? No different than any other color, except pink does have its unique qualities (hot pink especially - it's pretty much one of the most BOLD and BRIGHT tones of shirt you'll find, so if you dig bright colors, pink is right up your alley). I agree that it's kind of douchebaggy to wear a pink shirt just 'as a point' to look like you're really going against the norm, as the nonconformist don't-care-what-they-think rebel without a cause that you are...but if it's a color you dig, I say go for it.

I happen to like bold colors on occasion, so I have a couple of pink shirts here and there in the ol' closet because I like the color - like, beyond a standard pink t-shirt, I have one button-up shirt that's more of a salmon-ish tone, and I have another that's just totally bold and bright super hot pink. It's one of my favorite colors to wear every now and then, probably equal to teal - I have a cool really bright almost neon-ish teal shirt that I love and I put it in the same boat as the pink: it's something I like wearing every now and then because I dig the colors, but I don't over-do it in the fear of looking like a douchebag who just wears pink to go against the grain or whatever.

If you love pink, go ahead and wear it as you have probably been wearing it for years. Unfortunately, pink is now becoming some sort of hip thing, when the majority of guys look extremely fruity in it. So I say no, as I will stay as far away from pink shirts as possible.

On 98% of guys pink looks horid. It's not that they are "brave", not even close. They are just looking for attension and most of the time now a days no one cares. The ones that do care will just call him a fag and move on. Solid pink shirts were "in" 3-4 years ago, now they are lame (they were always lame to me).

Solid pink, most of the time, looks bad on both males and females.

I used to wear pink dress shirts every once in a while. But then we switched to Business casual, and I just can't wear a pink golf shirt. Or Yellow or Mint Green for that matter.

I heard that if a guy wears a pink shirt on a Monday, he got laid sometime over the weekend. And if I remember correctly, the only time I would wear a pink dress shirt is Monday.

Coincidence?!? I don't think so!

I wear a pink polo from time to time. I mostly stick to solid colors and have pretty much every shade - blue, red, black, gray, green, light green, pink, brown, light blue, purple, yellow, etc.

Have a pink dress shirt and at least one tie with some pink in it as well.

Don't really see how it's brave, and as far as more guys wearing pink I'll go with 'Why should I care?'

I wear pink shirts at least once a week or 2...the ladies love it if you can pull it off.

Sidenote: I wear them in a business setting (as in under suites, etc) not just pink T-shirts.

I have a problem with the OP putting "Straight guys" in the title then using that picture as an example. If that flamer's straight, I'm the fucking czar.

With something pink looks fine, but when it';s just a pink polo or something with jeans the guy thinks he's so cool but really is just a jackass.

Well keep in mind that it's not always the rule.

Wearing a pink polo with jeans isn't necessarily any more of an attempt to look cool as wearing any other shirt and pants combo. If the guy thinks it looks good, then what's the difference if it's pink or blue or white or a basketball jersey or whatever.

I think the type you're talking about are douchebags no matter WHAT they're wearing. I know people like that...but just a random dude in jeans and a pink shirt? Nah, if he thinks it looks good, then who cares.

Wearing blue doesn't make a girl lesbian so wearing pink shouldn't make a guy gay. Then again, all the dumbasses out their that are homophones like lesbains most likely so what a girl wears doesn't matter to them. Basicly, people need to grow up and stop being controled homophobic dumbasses.

How we fix this? EASY, straight guys wear pink and America gets a new flavor.. Sausage haha! Like our man in Japan posted, check it out! >.> Because this flavor might sound "Gay" but screw them homophobes!

Those japanese, they love the sausage. ;)
Those japanese, they love the sausage. ;)
Hell ya, I luv the sausage too but I am not gay. Hot dogs, damn their good. BUT JUST look at the freakin pizza... hot dogs with cheese and bacon in the crust. :D

My favorite is a big spicy sausage! Those are the shitz. >.> Oh and now here comes the gay jokes. haha!

Speaking of pink shirts and Japanese sausage, while I was at a dinner show in Guam (lots of Japanese tourists in Guam), there were these 4 Japanese gay guys at a table and two of them were wearing nearly identical pink shirts.....

Man almost $10 more for the large? That better be a huge fucking pizza or some good materials they use.
You should be ashamed btw. I don't have a problem with chicks wearing any color, in fact the blue suspect is one of the weirdest things I've heard but no self-respecting man wears pink except as I noted in the DS topic. Oh and btw when I say self-respecting I mean gay OR straight men as well as Bi.

Really, it's just a color. Oh and I forget to add, like Stephen Colbert, I am colored bind... is pink made from some kind of anti-men material?

I have never seen a straight guy that wore pink that wasn't a complete jackass. They are wearing pink for a reason, it's to get attention because no one likes them. It's to be "different and cool" when they really aren't. Wearing blue isn't "cool" like wearing pink is.

Yes. More men should wear pink. It is quite hilarious.

Seriously though? No. As someone said though, it does look good on business shirts, when you can put a black jacket over it and just have a bit of it sticking out or something. I think the idea is to only use small doses of it. Really small doses.

Pink is just a color. If the guy in the picture in the OP wasn't standing in front of a pink car and posing like a dumbass, he'd look totally normal to me. I don't see how wearing pink (or any color, for that matter) means a guy is trying to stick out or pretending to be gay... unless you count "rainbow" as a color.

I've got a kielbasa you simply must try. ;)

Oh yes. It's delicious meat. Horse meat, that is.
Sounds great. :bouncy:
I just noticed you joined in September, so part of that joke probably didn't make any sense. Oh well. Enough de-railing.

PINK SHIRTS = NO. :D

Pink is just a hideous color to me unless, as I've stated numerous times, it's on or inside a girl. Everytime I see a guy wearing pink, it's this nasty light color that looks like his dumbass mixed reds and whites when he washed his clothes.

Maybe hot pink....

Pink only works when it's poweder / chalk pink, and not worn by an Icy Hot Stunnah, and worn with an outfit that doesn't match.
