Any websites with any hints to the "Black Friday" store flyers yet?

I want to pick up a DLP or LCD TV this year and wanted to try and get a jump on what store will have as far as sales. I know in the past there were a few sites that had a jump on the ads for black friday, I was just seeing if any were up yet.

Only Ace Hardware so far.

i really don't think it's gonna be a good black friday this year...again... unless you consider Tower Records going under and slowly creaping up there % off shit or perhaps a one day only everything 90% off on blackfriday at tower..but don't hold your breath.

i think you will always find one or two good deals on dvd boxsets that are worth purchasing

For me, that would be kinda of a good thing. All I ask is for a few good TV boxsets and/or DS games to be on sale.

Can I ask what that's from? I have no idea where it's from but Reality's Fringe and Strell, two of the best posters, have this guy in their sigs.

I doubt there will be any good deals on DLP and good LCD sets. You can get cheap tube sets most likely though.

I have to share a story with you 66. It's OT to the thread title, but what the heck.

Last week I was in my local EB and some kids (between 17-23 years old, so not children) are in there asking the AM about the PS3 and the cost and blah blah blah. One of them is giving Justin a hard time (as if it's his fault) that the Sony announced a price drop in Japan so why is EB charging full price when it comes out. So I jump in and explain that Sony announced the price drop in Japan only, who is also only set to recieve and sell 100k units as opposed to 300k here in North America. Dropping the price on far fewer units will lose them far less money and they want to make what they can.

Conversation follows as the AM just stands there listening and smiling as I answer their questions and we wind up discusing Sony's previous media developments, ie vhs beta and the mini disc and if BluRay will do better. Conversation continues then towards Sonys marketing plans vs MS and Nintendo, first and third party support, which company's set is easiest to program for and which has the advantages in video/processing speed et cetera.

One of the kids (after about a 12 minute conversation mind you, where I'm talking facts and figures and games and statistics with them) then turns to the DM and asks him in what was supposed to be a quiet voice, "is she serious?" Justin didn't quite understand what he meant by that, so the kid amplified his curiousity, "does she know what she's talking about? she plays games or something?"

The AM looks at me and then at him, and has this bewildered look on his face... as if I had just sauntered on into the store and the just began making stuff up about stuff I had no understanding of... He sorta chuckled and said, "yeah she's serious."
